Oh, could hear the tears being contained right before Allie said I'm a little hangry 😢. You tried so hard and were so brave. I'm proud of you kids. I'm angry at those scammers taking advantage of good people 😒. There were red flags there to file for future adventures... life is a learning adventure. Those guides were going to get your money along with everyone else 😩 or no go.
One of my other fav RUclips adventure capturer did a great quote that I will butcher but it was something like... the story is not in the details it's about capturing that one moment when the character engages in overcoming their weakness or engages their strength to live out their value system. It's not about their success or fail it's about seeing their struggle. You did that in this! Well done ❤️❤️

We stayed at the lodge next to the entrance a couple of years ago and remember that walk along the beach. Wonderful place and agree on the guide issue. TBH a guide will help you see sooooo much more - after all they know where to look.Great to see the place again and thanks for the videos

Thanks for sharing the experience, and don't feel badly. We were there ten years ago during dry season in a rental van and experienced the same problems with Corcovado. Stayed a few days at Cabo Matapalo then on to Playa Leandro. The river crossings were intense. The lady who ran the airport there made up for the rude guides, and missing the donkey cart.

Love your make lemonade with lemons attitude. It was still a lot of fun to tag along. I travel frequently to foreign countries but these river crossings and long hikes are in my youthful past, I’m a senior now with wrecked knees. I love vicariously sharing your adventures. I remember years ago hiking with friends in NZ and in the morning we crossed a shallow river, mid calf deep. At the end of the day when we were returning the water was shoulder deep and we had to carry our packs over our heads to cross. I hadn’t thought of that memory in years, it was close to 20 years ago so thanks for that. Happy and safe travels. 💐🚐

NOT at all a disappointment. I have been binge watching your videos and this is actually my favorite. Love how you are always reaching for those special moments instead of staying trapped in the crap. My husband (best friend) and I have been married for 33 years. When people ask us how we have maintained such a happy marriage with all the problems we have faced we give the following advice. 1. Keep GOD first. 2. Divorce is not an option. 3. Stay friends. and 4. Have a great sense of humor. You two have a great start. May your marriage be as blessed as my husbands and mine. Remember, even a bad day is a good day when you are on an adventure with your best friend and soul mate.

When i first started watching you guys I wasn't sure if I should stick around. I am glad I did, you two have such a positive energy, you show so much of this beautiful world we live in and you are courageous enough to explore and generously share with the rest of us couch surfers. Your editing has become so much better with each video you post and your drone footage is stunning. I understand it would be super disappointing to travel through so many obstacles to see the park and not be allowed in, but think of the incredible service you are providing for letting other people know of the difficulties one could run into. Btw. I recently moved to Salt Lake City (love it here) and could have run into you when you had fun visiting with your family. Keep up the good work, you make quality videos for sure. That is the exact reason I watch your channel, you show the beauty but also the roadblocks and bumps that are actually part of life. I thought this video was excellent and entertaining.

What people do not realize about National Parks is that they have been created to keep that area untouched or pristine and the way you do that is by making very hard for people to go in to them. They most likely thank you for the donation!

When ever a sequence of events happens like that I believe it's probably divine intervention.You weren't meant to go into that park for whatever reason, we will never know. What a fiasco trying to get into a National Park! You'll just have to go when you pass back through some time. Get everything lined up the previous day so you can head up that way and camp out the night before.
The adventure was great. NO LET DOWN HERE! Just so you know. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you two but just watching your journey has been interesting and exciting. And most importantly, better safe than sorry ;-) The ending was spectacular!!

I'm glad you shared the video anyways, I look forward to watching your videos no matter what because it's like checking in on some friends and getting to see what's going on. I for one am sososo glad you show the downs as well as the ups , because it's apart of real life. Like 99% of people on RUclips only show the good and then it makes others feel like their life "isn't as perfect" as what they see on RUclips , if that makes sense. I'm not good at explaining my thoughts sometimes lol. Anyways sorry that y'all didn't get to see the park after being so hyped and going through all that to not get to see it! It just wasn't meant to be for some reason or another destiny had other plans ! At least it will make story for you to share ? When you were "denied" entrance to the park that day ......you were protected from above my friends even though it doesn't look like that

This was truly a video about so much more than National Parks and beautiful footage. We all know how pressure is being placed on reaching points of interest sometimes having fatal results. I'm thinking throughout most of the video..what about the return trip and the water?! I am interested in why the park ranger wouldn't let you guys in🤔 I also would have loved to hear a story from the old guy who owns the land near the park...now that would have been very interesting.
I was worried about the return trip too! Especially the river crossing they had to walk through! That would have been even more dangerous if the water was higher!
No problem. As hiking goes you got one heck of a hike, plus the excitement of seeing if the water crossings were do able. Sounds like a charge scam. Everyone has a check out of this trip from visitors. They doubt you will take that trip again so they come off nasty and charge for what you never get. You can bet that refund would be lost in time, that's why the three month wait. What are you going to do about it, you will be long gone by then. Sad to see that kind of hussel played out on the very people supporting them. I had a good time anyway and salute your efforts.
In the end its the money tourism could bring to these countries that takes a hit , you would think that countries in need of money would not put obstacles in the way for tourists especially in this day and age where there are so many people travelling the world way more than when I was doing my world tour 30 years ago
