Zerotier is what I used as a VPN connection, to make the machines see each other as if they are on a local network.

@@mith was it better than just going with openvpn and entering the ip of your house ?

I just found it easier to setup and relocate. It will generally work through firewalls etc on any connection without needing a static public ip.
So it is easy to configure a machine and send it out
