Hey man awesome video! Does show kontrol automatically know what song is playing based on what the DJ is playing on each deck? Or do you manually have to advance the set list

Yes ShowKontrol will take the information from the CDJ
Is there a status call for these cues? If you were to launch your deck between 2 cues would it call the cue it should be playing? or would it wait until it receives the next cue in the list?

Great video, thank you! I have a question: Does the track need to be on the master layer for it to trigger the cues? Or will cues be triggered even if the track is just assigned to layer A or layer B?

I believe only one cuelist is running at a time so needs to be the master.
Hey awesome tutorial! One question: does this also work when there's only a DJM-900NXS2 connected to Showkontrol and the DJ is using CDJ-2000NXS , not NX2? So will the DJM900NXS2 know which track is on the master?

Showkontrol only works with certain Pioneer hardware (best to check the website), but I believe even if the Mixer isnt recognised by Showkontrol the CDJs will flag master
Great video! Question: Why does Resolume not having just as easy cuelist build in like Avolites/MA/ShowKontrol have?
I can't find any good tutorial how to setup a timecode in resolume... i can only set a start delay on every clip, but thats very weird? and i cannot find the option to start a column...

Yeah Resolume doesn't have tools to build out a cue list style sequence. (the closest thing is autoplay next clip)
As far as I know Timecode in resolume can only be used for synchronising playback of clips.
This is where external control systems like showkontrol are good for triggering via OSC
Do I need to manually click master every time I change songs? Will not automatically recognize switching playback? Can showkontrol edit master shortcuts?
Its been a little while since I've done an event. Pretty sure Master should live follow from the Mixer

As far as I know there is no direct link, however i'm sure a similar approach could be done with OSC.

Absolutely, that's how this was done.
MITH tv Are the two computers connected via Ethernet cable to send the information? I apologize, I am new to this kind of things.
Yes in my setup that's how they were connected.
OSC does work over WiFi (however I haven't tested with ShowKontrol)
MITH tv Perfect. I will mostly never be in a wifi zone during gigs so good to know I only need an Ethernet cable plugged between the two computers. Thank you very much for your help.
