This is one of the most dazzling finishes ever written for a solo instrument. It's absolutely breathtaking how the notes create a shimmering cacophony of unison. Chopin is out of this world.
Honestly same But usually I just try to focus on the feeling I get when I'm alone. Focusing on the beauty of the piece takes away from my lack technical abilities
Isobel De Villiers truee we we should play with all we have 👍👍. That’s the point of music to make us happy. But for me sometimes when i want to take it seriously so his playing could be a great motivation though
Yes I like it ! This is part of a concert given in Warsaw, this piece along with the Etude in C minor Op 10 n 12 are an encore after his performance of Chopin's second Concerto in F minor. I like Kissin very much, I have bought his CD with the Second and Third Concerto of Prokofiev and it's fantastic !
Doesn't he look like he could BE one of the dead composers? Maybe it's because of the clothes and the hair but seriously he looks like he walked out of a painting from the 1800's.
Chopin, quel compositeur! Check the reaction of the musiciens at the end, they are just as amazed as us!!
I hate this guy, he brings tears to my eyes everytime i hear him play Chopin. He's just too good, by far the most brilliant Chopin interpreter to emerge since Zimerman (although watch out for Ingolf Wunder!). Thank you so much for posting. Where was this?...oh btw, you gotta love the hairdo! LOL!
I think this does sound better when its played s,ower but what can u do if he didnt play like this people would crucify him for not playing at Chopin's intended tempo

Personally I don't feel this intensity and speed in Chopin's waltz, but I really don't care. Who cares? It's great pleasure the pianist like Kissin is breathing and living in the same planet. Even Mozart and Beethoven didn't have this lucky opportunity.

What is a "Chopin"? Is that a mall?

Gandalf sitting in the background with his violin, enjoying the performance
Lol
Ha!
Kissin is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to!
Oh yes 😂❤
I literally clapped my hands at the end of this performance. So splendid!
I love the old violin player in the background how he is smiling and enjoying
Love his nonchalant expression after totally shredding the keys. Such a boss.
he is such an intense pianist I love all his pieces
he and cziffra are two of the most amazing men I've ever heard
Lipatti if he had the chance to live longer would have been among them.
holy crap, the ending made my nose burn and my eyes water - he's phenomenal!!
BRO IM 12 AND IM DOING THIS AS ONE, ONE OF MY FOUR PIECES FOR NYSMA THIS YEAR. IM GONNA FAIL THIS IS SO HARD OMG PLEASE HELP
Full of fire, blood, and expression!
hi Algorox!
Forgot who said it, but I remember he said Chopin's valses are not meant to dance to :)
Definitely. And some of them are better suited for funerals. And all of them are brilliant.
Roman Dobrovenskii you can dance at a funeral
Ben Liao I think it was Byron Janis who said something like that.
actually there is a ballet dance called mistake waltz that dances to this song but at a slower pace....
Which is interesting, since a Waltz is a type of dance.
I adore his kind of performing! His soul goes inside the piece. The final seems to me amazing

Chopin is out of the world....Also Evgeny . Wow Amazing interpretation.
Yes indeed 🎵👏He is miracle and great👍👏😀
Kissin is a very passionate pianist of pure straight forceful, straight Russian style playing. I love it, especially this piece.
Excuse the two straights.

When I hear such a Brilliant performance, I believe in a great power able to make such a wonderful gift to the world. 😘
Of course here is the gift by the giver.
I think chopin's music makes me sleepy cause its so soft and dreamy

Increible interpretacion!!!
Impressive. So imaginative, such control and precision, perfect dynamics. Hut ab!
no one plays this better than him...🥰
It's so Amazing performance and brilliant sound ! A powerful control of his finger.

The absolute best interpretation of this piece that I've heard (comparison: Barenboim, Lisitsa, and many more..)

I think this speed is great for this piece. Kissin’s and Lisitsa’s are at the same speed and I like both of them
Every time I watch and listen to him it makes me think that he and Yuga Wang are like brother/ sister!!!
i played this piece...it was hard... i was ten, but i still played with joy
