Many years ago, my daughter bought me an $80 bottle of Lagavulin for Christmas. That was my start for loving single malt Scotch whisky. It had a nice smoky peat flavor. I also liked Laphroiag. It had many flavors in the taste.
I'm truly glad for you that you have found something that you enjoy. Me personally, I'm not one for spirits as they smack of kerosene or gasoline on my palette. I'll take $1 bottles of beer at home and way less hangover. At $170 per bottle of a consumable product, you just made my new Canon 800D coming in the mail seem like the bargain of the century... Thanks for diminutizing the super slight buyer's guilt I was experiencing, seriously...
"Erik Viking" - great name! You should check out Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. They are from the Orkney Island in north Scotland which was occupied by vikings. So, the distillery has a viking theme and names for their whiskies. They taste GREAT!
Why are you commenting on a video with content you don’t care about…twice? For me personally, drinking beer results in a worse hangover than whiskey. In my opinion, whiskey tastes better than beer.

If it contained no alcohol and possessed the same flavor, would you still feel as enamored of its flavor?
Nope...
