- I’ve been working on our home theater! This is the only space in our home with a different wall color. I wanted something unique and bold. The walls are Sherwin-Williams Urbane Bronze. I love the warm earthy base + saturated tone it has. For the accent wall at the front of the room I wanted some texture. The tambour detail gives a unique feel to the space. I mimicked the fluting on the wall with the texture in the seating.
I love the varied fabric textures on the sectional and chairs. They’re sooo comfy! I also am trying out some options with art to give some interest. Most of the room is two colors, but I wanted to add a pop of color with artwork. I loved the idea of placing the art a little more eclectic gallery style with the sconces above. Almost like a sophisticated study! I’ll link the products I used below. Let me know what you think :)

Love the ceiling. And the wall fluting and painted wall projector. I also like the seating. In my opinion, poster style black and white and gray movie house posters would be great for the walls. Agree with others that the current art is not right (sorry).

the Center speaker is completely obstructed by the projector and the unit under it. I can understand that the room is designed with aesthetics in mind but the dialogue clarity will be very low and this placement will ruin all the hard work put into designing such a beautiful and cozy home theater. You should consider connecting with a good professional on terms that the design will be yours and technical planning will be done by him. hope this helps delivery better home entertainment spaces to people reading this.

Five wall art looks great! It breaks the monotony of 3 lights and 3 chairs at the back.
Absolutely love your home especially the kitchen! but this room was definitely a surprise - I wouldn't call it bougie but a style that you feel fits your family's taste.

Ceiling mounted projectors have issues? One issue they don't have is blocking the center channel.

Between your media room couch and your living room couch - which would you say: one - sits "softer"? And two - fabric most forgiving?
I would say Living Room for both 😊 It’s like a cloud when you sit on it and the cushions can be removed and washed.

I like the first theatre better.
Did I really just see a home theater with a center channel, which does about 70% of the work, buried behind a cabinet. I personally Iike the design of the room, but come on. Form needs to meet function. Fail.
Also, I would highly suggest custom acoustic treatments. With your design skills, you could really do something that looks great AND improve the sound and feel of the room. Heck, you could use the same images you have in those pictures if you wanted.
Love the room. Don’t care for the art. It seems more like bathroom or laundry room art. I feel like abstract or art deco style would be better.

Love the wall color and ceiling wallpaper. The artwork seems too small and the light fixtures don't match the moody feel of the room. Something black or metal would match. As always, just an opinion. I know my kids would destroy white sofas with drinks and snacks.

Love everything except the artwork. It’s soo out of place. Actually, it looks tacky and like two different people decorated the media room. Fluted feature wall nice, ceiling ahhmazing. Furniture so inviting to cuddle and watch movies.
