I think crown/gold rares are the most MID things in all forms of the pokemon TCG…just gaudy and over the top and kinda makes the art on lower rarity cards feel like they care less about it like they are more special because they’re art is “better” or more dynamic/interesting or they’re special because they harder to get and approximate the visual aspects of one if the most sought after metals on the planet…Now immersive arts are PEAK!!! They take the advantages of the digital medium and just use them SOOO freaking well!!! Makes you feel like even this game a card collector has that life and spirit we’ve come to expect from a Pokemon product!! Absolute chef’s kiss!!!
theyve only made gold cards the rarest vecause no one would like to open 100’s of packs without an immersive being pulled. It’s a good way to balance the rarity system so youre not missing out on the best artwork but rare enough that you get that dopamine hit of pulling one. The gold cards are not that bad, they have constand moving backgrounds and unique sounds/animations. Although my preference would still be the immersives
Got the 3 star Celebi within my first 20 packs. Totally fine with that. Saving hourglasses was worth it xD Ofc my best friend opens his daily free pack, hits a god pack and gets the Crown Rare Mew...
No one will believe me but my first pack was a crown mew. What’s nuts is I was a little sad because I discovered the game yesterday and already used all my “new player” opens so when I saw the expansion this morning got a little sad. Not sad anymore !
The rarest things I ever got from Genetic Apex was a 2 star full art Gengar and Wigglytuff, just did a 10 Pack and got 2 IMMERSIVE CELEBI. I don’t think I’m legally allowed to complain until at least next year.
An Immersive rare (3 star) is not THAT difficult to open with a 1/90 chance. A specific 1 Star card, say for instance you wanna pull Seperior 1 Star and not any other, is about 1/48 chance which is almost twice as likely as the Celebi EX 3 star. Further, opening getting a SPECIFIC 2 star rare is MUCH, much harder; with a whopping 1/400 chance. Hence why these are the cards that people most tend to craft with points if you want high end cards, like say a 2 Star Sabrina. While this seems off at first chance we are talking about pulling a SPECIFIC one (not the chance of getting ANY 2 Star itself, which is ~1/40 packs, but as there are 10 different ones each is 1/10th as likely). This is why I personally use Mewtwo and Charizard 2 Stars instead of the 3 stars in my decks, as they are rarer to see for the opponent overall than the 3 Star versions overall. To further elaborate on the Crown Rares, they are 1/500. With a SPECIFIC one from Genetic Apex being 1/3rd as likely, 1/1500 packs. I was fortunate enough to pull a Crown Rare Charizard in my 2nd pack ever, which is insanely unlikely. God Packs are the rarest event in the game 1/2000; have never gotten one.
I wish someone did an indepth analysis on this, as you cannot use this card as often as an X Speed, since it takes up the trainer slot. For instance, Prof research into this card does nothing to save you, while the X Speed could win you the game. It also cannot be combined with Sabrina in the same turn. I'm too dumb to do this analysis but I think overall this card is worse than an X Speed (most of the time you really only need 1 discounted) and you can also chain 2 X Speeds, so I personally do not see myself running it. It is downright unplayable is decks with more Leaders, including Koga, Blaine, or Erika dekcs. Misty decks could still run it/might not care, since Misty is used turn 1 very often anyway.
I have opened 48 packs, not a single Mew EX either... Actually in nearly 50 packs, I have only opened two 4 Diamond rarity cards somehow, though I did get a 2 star and a 3 star EX. In Genetic Apex one could expect a 4 Diamond every 12 packs on average, so I don't know if I have gotten extremely unlucky regarding this particular pull chance or if the ratios are different, as I now on average (small sample size) hit a 4 Diamond card every 24 packs, twice as unlikely. I'll check later the actual stats.

yeah its just color swap i wish it had a bit more effort put into it

I think it’s noteworthy that Celebi is the first EX not from Gen 1, I think it opens the door for some speculation on the future rollout of EX Pokémon
Seems like serperior ability could be the meta. Also can be used with mew and pidgeot too technically
The Celebi/Serperior strat in the theme decks is broken if you can set it up. I flipped 14 coins on Celebi and did 350 damage

The very first Leaf card and it isn't even real. All the special arts look so good, and the fact we're not getting them makes me upset.
Sun and moon and scarlet and violet mixed.
Pulled myself the celebi on the third pack. Beautiful card
Opened 20 packs this morning and got 2 Celebi AR cards in my 20th pack 😊
If psychic mirage Gardevoir was any indication that Serperior is going to be amazing
20 packs in main account. I got 1 mew-ex, 1 fa celebi, 1 inmersive celebi 2 fa aerodactil and 3 serperior fa. I'm blessed, I can farm for A2🎉🎉
myh chase was the marshadow special artwork and i got that like 6th pack

@ Man I just want to believe I was lucky for once. I only got a snivy from the packs I’ve opened so I can’t even use my Celebi at the fullest.
Managed to get the aerodactyl special full art rare in my 12th and final pack!
That blue card is adorable especially with her in her frlg outfit.
Retreating for less is very helpful

I just opened 40 packs with all my saved hourglasses and no Mew Ex , I’m cooked.

I opened 10 packs and got a Celebi Immersive in my second pack
First pack and I ended up getting immersive Celebi
You think they’ll make an actual pocket physical set?
3:23 there's Weezing but Weezing needs... a Weezing and Koga to pull this in 1 turn
why comment before finishing the video
I'm 250 packs in and have 0 golds or immersives😢
The immersive 3 Star cards are 1/90 so this is very unlikely buddy, sorry to hear. Crown rares are 1/500 so this should not bum you out.
Pokemon really needs to get rid of standard full arts
Stop promoting Pocket.
