this article forgot that the BYD blade is already on the road since early 2023, Tesla uses the Byd blade LFP for its Model Y SR MiG (made in Germany). Way better charging than the current Catl and is on par with more expensive NCMs. The 2024 upcoming new blade LFP is next gen, same with the new Catl shenxing blade. Both improve performance again

I was wondering if you were talking about newer version of BYD Blade battery, but it did not seemed to be the case. The use of the safe Blade battery was what prompted me to buy Atto 3 which uses it more than one year ago ang to park it in our lock-up garage with confidence.
High nickel(90% or more) NCM or NCMA batteries are more suitable than LFP batteries for the EV environment that require high discharge and charge, i.e., high C-rate. It is even better in low tempratures characteristics and energy density. LFP batteries may cause fire in high C-rate, so it is suitable for ESS that requires a low C-rate.
I believe EU, Japanese car maker should take advantage of BYD blade battery integration to their EV model and enhance range and create more competitive market for consumers choice. Love to see EV car from EU and Japanese since Chinese car design taste is lacking something , only to see copy ideas from other brands. No offense
Sodium ion batteries are the most futuristic tech we'll probably see for a long while. This is huge news. (edit: which apparently is not the chemistry of the Blade battery, as it is based on LFP chemistry)

BYD needs to focus on developing a solid state battery like its Western competitors. This is the present goal EV battery maufactures are trying to achieve.
America already relies on china for united states public transportation bus manufacturing. BYD creates buses in america for america. The reason why they cant sell BYD cars is because the american companies want to sell BYD batteries and make a profit. Meanwhile BYD is selling their high-end cars for less than 15k $usd
