      It’s a great little tractor, I’m plenty used to how it handles in the woods- slow and steady- the powered trailer makes a huge difference for traction up and down steep hills. You’re going to love yours! Thanks for watching! Jeff.

      I’m curious how you’ll compare the 6x6 to the tractor- I’d like a Canam 6x6 ATV as another tool to fetch wood.

      I’m actually trading my 33R for the 25R. You would love my 2020 33R it has tons of power. My plans for the 33R changed and I no longer need that big of a machine.

    I’m in the Annapolis valley. I always wait until we have snow to cut and haul wood out and we know things are changing with our climate and I’m thinking a lot about getting a trailer like yours to haul out the wood/ logs VS waiting for snow or dragging in the dirt. Where did you say you got your trailer from if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks for any info.

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  2 года назад +2

      Hi Laurie, I got mine from Eastern Farm Machinery in Ontario- but there are a few others like it- I’d probably look at the Range-Road trailer if I had to do it again, not that there’s anything wrong with this one- it’s just that Range-Road has been such a great company to deal with.

    I have the exact same trailer over here i Norway. But on mine the control handles are all vertical, while you seem to have at least one horizontal control. Was it delivered like that, or did you modify it?
    Having the control for side supports horizontal, and then having boom rotation and claw rotation larger then boom lift and folding would be nice. Then it would be harder to confuse the controls.

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  2 года назад +1

      I found it a bit confusing to learn to operate the controls of this little trailer- it’s not exactly intuitive- not like a backhoe or an excavator- not really like any other piece of equipment that I’ve operated. I moved the lever for the swing ram 90 degrees, that makes me feel a little safer- I also bent the 2 stabilizer levers a little so I don’t mix them up with the boom and grapple controls- I think it’s much better. The next improvement would be to add a pair of 4 way joy sticks to control it all- until then- this works great. Also work way better off of the tractor hydraulics than the little power pack it came with. Thanks for watching! All the Best, Jeff.

    • @rolfnilsen6385
      @rolfnilsen6385 2 года назад +1

      @@thelogfather5002 Thanks for the explanation. I'll look to do something similar with the handles. I also had to struggle a bit to learn how to operate it. Especially the swing is rather abrupt.
      My tractor don't have the flow to operate the trailer, or I would run it from the tractor. It is a 1969 model produced in Norway. A "Grombas".

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  Год назад +2

      I would definitely recommend the set up I have. The tractor and trailer are very well matched, and my 6x6 ATV will easily pull the trailer if it’s half loaded… any bigger makes it a different animal to tame! Thanks for watching! Ask whatever questions you need that just might help. All the best, Jeff
