FIGHTING WITH TROUBLE MAKERS!

I waited a month to post this video from the time making it. Only to let the dust settle on the attitude I had developed about the poor quality of the logs. Turns out after a month, I feel exactly the same way! 😂 My TAJFUN rca400 is great at handling the crooked and limby logs , but it’s certainly not profitable to do it load after load. Thanks for watching me rant on about it! Jeff

SAWMILL ENERGY INDEPENDENCE. BLUETTI AC200L and BLUETTI B300K combo for the win!
Bought the axis in September its a pain to move the axis and conveyer to fill my bins like the table height of the axis don't know if the splitforce would hurt my back being lower
I didn’t find the table too low on the Split-Force.
Wow, a great demonstration of the capability of this tractor and an operator who understands its capabilities and just how to operate it efficiently. I am seriously interested in getting one of these tractors as a tool to do a large landscaping project on my propertty. I really enjoy working on these type of projects, and could get a lot done with one of these. Thanks for posting this video.
Thank you very much!
17 Bush Cord in 4 hours !
Sounds like quite a machine.
@ Google Cord King .com . Iam Not a Salesman. Just Rented one before . Very impressed!!!
Good starter machine but You need a Cord King processor.!
Wise advice 😎👍
Nice setup, do they have an engine driven model? Looking at getting into the business here in NW Ontario. As I watch the rest. So Range road or red runner be good to start with? No medal required. Cheers. Have a good one Mark at the Cay(key). 🇨🇦🪵🔥🌴
Not exactly- but they do have a stationary engine option to buy with it. The Range Road is a decent little machine. I don’t have any experience with the Red Runner- I suspect they’re very similar. Thanks for watching! Jeff
Good one Jeff. Quite the debate on the softwood/hardwood thing. Great business chat. I’ll take one of those medals. 🤭🤭
Not really a debate- more of a stubborn American who’s already made up his mind and isn’t interested in the actual facts. :)
True. I just didn’t want to get engaged in that discussion. 👍🏻
@noelstractors-firewood57 wise!
I too have a Chinese processor like your ecopro. Mine is red. I did 55 cord this year as a part timer. It’s definitely time to upgrade. Cord King is 2 hours away from me. Great business advice. This is my 1st crack at a self run business. I’ll take all the advice I can get. Thank you Sir.
55 cords is about max for that machine- a commercial processor will definitely change the way you look at your business
So if i do a 190 cubic ft is for sure a cord loose in a tralier?
You’d be selling a good honest cord for sure
Love your setup. So how much wood does this tralier hold? What are the demisions? Thanks you

Oat feed? Runs on oats?
I don’t get it…
@ soary, bad Canadian joke. Poking you.
@HubertofLiege 😂
Thanks for telling us the in and out of the whole of your firewood business. I must tell my Sun in law the name and to check out your processor. He’s got the Chinese brand with no aftermarket service…CHEERS
Hey Gator, what brand is that? Trying to avoid issues.
@@MannistoCay It`s called Tijfun RCA 400 processor and it looks like its a very good machine.....CHEERS
@@gatorsworld I meant which one does your son have?
3 things I saw that I would do differently. 1) the shield on the processor is fully dust covered. A fan on it to blow dust away from you so you don't breathe it. 2) cut-offs get thrown in a pile to be picked up later. Consider an IBC tote or wire basket. 3) piles of trash, slabs, saw dust, etc. needs to be hauled off to the dump or whatever. I guess that might wait until after season when it slows down some. I'm not criticizing, just something for you to think about..good video as per usual!
Definitely need a blower- it’s on my ‘list’- I used to have bins for the block ends- but I quickly ran out of room to put them- so I decided to clear a spot behind the processor to toss them- I give them away mainly- so it gets cleaned out quickly this time of year. Thanks for watching! Jeff
Great video, new sub here, just bought the Split Fire 1165v electric for resplits in the shop, so far I like the machine and the company. I was squinting trying to see the name on your processor just before you started talking about it! lol
Welcome aboard! Split-Fires new vertical splitter is a home run!
I like your business sense-fair but firm! I was waiting to hear the jingle when you said you’re not a hobbyist bahaha! Great video Jeff, have a great weekend.
I know! I hear that jingle every time I say the word!
Great video with some sound advice. Love the vw engine setup 👍👍
Thanks for watching! Jeff
Is my medel in the mail?
Nope- Canada post is on strike. I’ll bring some root beer to Ohio next spring. :)
Filling a trailer using legs smaller than your fore arm takes some time.
Way too much time. But I can’t seem to get a good load- either way too big or way too small.
Tooth pick size firewood poles!
Man you process a lot of softwood. Who buys that?
There’s not a piece of softwood in any of my recent videos…
@thelogfather5002 cmon man, that's poplar and we know it. Almost white as snow.
That’s ash. 😂 and poplar is technically hardwood- although it’s sent to be chipped here.
@thelogfather5002 poplar is definitely not hardwood. Who told you that? And the ash here in Michigan isn't white. Not even close
@Larry-s9p poplar is definitely in the hardwood family. Softwood here is defined as evergreen. Hardwood are the broad leafed deciduous trees. Nothing to do with density. Ash, black, white or green..here is snow white.
Great splitting session!! I see you are definitely an experienced operator. We have to keep our eyes on everything. Great job!!
That processor looks like a blast to run. Great video. stay dry in all this rain!
Rain is so welcome- my well is fine but a few of my neighbours have run dry.
Hi Jeff You can send me a metal !!!😊 Another great video on your equipment and business advice ! Anyone looking to start almost any business could apply most of your business concepts ! You have a Good Day 😊
Great setup......
Would have been helpful to show the mini filter that you didn’t want to record with dripping fuel 😂
Amazing the battery technology eh. When I build an off grid cottage I’ll have one of these, it’s all you’d need. Wish I had a bit more free time I’d head up to that show in Moncton. Have a great rest of the week Jeff.
You get way better bang for the buck with some of the stuff like EG4 all in one inverters+server rack batteries. If you're doing a fixed install, you should never be paying for a portable unit. You are paying extra for portability and compactness. The EG4 stuff can be installed just as easily as one of these portable boys.
I have been looking at the Bluetti’s and Jackery portable generators. I noticed the elite does not have rubber dust covers over the receptacles. Do they have little slide covers inside the holes like an outside GFI in a house? I understand that is what Jackery has. Also, the elite does not have a 30 amp plug? Thanks for the review. 👍
I’ll look closer at it.
I'd like one.
It just amazes me the power that is stored in such a compact size.
Good one. Neat tools. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Jeff you're a very humble man and I love your videos. Just don't understand why you tell people to email you and you never respond.
Is it possible that an email ended up in my spam folder? Who is it from? I’m usually pretty good at keeping up on all my correspondence…
Love that stuff. Thanks for the walk through. Bluetti are great, but still on the expensive side. If someone didn't already have a gas generator, this would absolutely do.
I really think that all of these ‘solar’ power stations need to be paired with an appropriate sized gas generator… it’s two sides of the same coin!
You can get an EG4 3000w all in one inverter and a 5kwh server rack battery for under $2000 shipped. You can charge your batteries off the generator so you don't have to leave the genny running all the time. I did a EG4 6000xp and a DIY 16S 15kwh battery for $4000 and with the rooftop solar on my RV, I never have to plug in and the genny only gets used during the winter if we have multiple days of cloud cover. 2 hours of running the generator gets me 2-3 days of power. I have a minisplit AC/heater, and keep it nice and comfy inside 24/7.
I'm planning on turning my enclosed trailer into a bit of a camper...up in the front end. I'd like to get you to design a setup for me.
Where are u located
Nova Scotia
Bins won’t work . How do you switched them out to load . Have to drag them and that won’t work be a pain that’s why nobody does it
You mean the hook bins? Like small dumpsters?
That’s a nice little setup
Great video. Where do you get the pins for the backhoe to stop the from hydraulics from sinking down
I picked those up at Princess Auto… any farm supply store should be able to source them for you.
After watching a lot of processor videos i start to wonder why dont you run theese on electricity? For some reason you seem to like to run them on gasoline... Here in Sweden i have not seen a single woodsplitter run on gasoline.. We do have somex hat run on PTO though. But im curious why it is that way?
Good observation, but I don’t have the 3 phase power where my wood yard is set up, so diesel is the next best option for me.
Great video! Nice to see that 12 valve putting in the work! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences!
It’s a great old truck!
Those hooklift trucks are very common here in Nordics. Some most known brands are Hiab, Joab, Palfinger etc. Capacity anything from couple metric tons, up to 40tn at least.
And we have also trailerbodies for boxes. So you can have one box on a truck and one or two boxes on trailer. And you load all of those with hooklift on your truck.
Production at its finest. Jake @duderanchdiy uses the rolloff truck like a boss. Good video
I’ve watched his channel! That’s a dream right there for sure.
Jim & Gina Berry has the best Hook lift set up out there.. they are in NB I think
They’re here in Nova Scotia, about 3 hours from me.
@thelogfather5002 absolutely love their delivery setup..
Sounds like you finally gave up on the metric measurements.
No- I just want to speak so you understand what I’m saying without subtitles! 😂
Very good advice, Jeff. I agree. We have to pitch our tent at some point.
Pitch our tent… I know exactly what you mean.
I like zone trailers and the way your business is running…..CHEERS
That’s a lot of wood in a day. 👍🏻 I’ve got a 6.5’X 12’ trailer. Trailer hitch on truck style. And a Ford Ranger 2005 truck. Works good for me. I can back it mostly anywhere. But I sure would not enter into an Olympic event. 🤭🤭🤭
Well done Jeff that is an excellent accomplishment in a day for sure. I feel a hooklift truck setup would be the ideal firewood setup for delivery.
All good stuff Sir, keep cuttin'!
Thanks for stopping by to watch Travis! Have a great weekend. Jeff.
Hi Jeff That's a lot of wood ! Good you had GOOD help ! You and i might have a fight on our hands for backing up trailers in the Olympics !!! LOL😊 Boy could i tell you stories !!!! Oil patch in Alberta and Saskatchewan...30 and 40 below Celsius... Driveway at the field tank 7 ft high snow bank...where the tractor huge blade Broke ...tractor left for big repair ! Nobody told our dispatch...i went to pickup a semi load of oil and 200 ft from the tank ...dead end !! Oh F_ _ _ 30 below Celsius and i had to back up over a mile on a 11 ft wide trail !! I only had to stop once to re aline myself ! LOL That's one of the stories of being in the patch for 5 years !!😊 You have a Good Day !
Let’s set up a competition next spring in Ohio! 😂
@thelogfather5002 LOL 😆
Hooklift truck.. there more expensive than a regular dump truck. Diy firewood(youtube channel) has one. I deliver with a 14 ft bumper pull..itd be nice to have a deckover dump trailer so the load doesnt drag way out. Your processor is nice..i think a multitek 1620 would be ideal for 500cord operations
7x14’x4’ deck over bumper pull… That’d be just about ideal.
