Greatest captain of all time and one of the greatest batsmans
During ponting era.. Australian cricket was at it's best...
Great
But you know still Australia team is very good but they were invencible
Not only ponting , but under Steve Waugh.
108 test wins is not a joke. I think nobody will break that record.Pure legend
Bro the man has arrived guess what he is just like punter virat king kohli
harsh gaurav no India can not perform away from home
@@harshgaurav1634 Nice Joke.
Not 108 test win
@@harshgaurav1634 this is about ponting here, the three time world cup winner on the foreign soil, out of those 2 world cup he single handedly lead his team to victory. Here they r not talking about just fastest scoring runs in 50 innings, or highest average rate. Here this is about punter a great batsman, a greatest captain, in captiancy no one can match his prowess.I m not kohli hater at all but plz dont do irrelevant things everywhere by singing king king, kohli, kohli, kohli it sound so gross n awakrd.
never saw bradman, but was lucky enough to watch ponting, tendulkar, lara... all the modern greats and i can honestly say that there was nobody better than ponting. IMO, that trio (lara, ponting, sachin) are the three greatest batsmen the game has ever seen outside of don bradman. what a pleasure its been to watch all three
Never compare the trios mate they're special in their own skills we're honoured to wtiness punter era cheers! :)
Sangakarra
no way,,,as he plunderd runs towards the end of his career in batting dominant era ,,,but the trio sachin lara ponting dominent across all formats since 1990s ...
the trio were domint in big occasions up against great bowlers,,,so dont take sangakkara inside the same breathe
may b bcz of that 57 avg that got blossomed towards the end ur tmptd to take sanga in the same league
Oh and today is his birthday! And I am lucky that I share my birthday with him! 19 December. ❤️ What an era was that! That Australian team in the 2000s and late 1990s under Steve Waugh and then Ponting was just irreplaceable. And Ponting, the best captain in the history so far for me! Just miss that era when Tendulkar, Ponting, Lara, Dravid, McGrath, Warne, Gilchrist, etc. etc. played. So many greats! Cricket was never the same after that era.
STILL MISS HIM IN THE CRICKET FIELD.
As a supporter of Indian team i can say u definitely disappointed many opponents with ur gr8 skills, its honour to see the greats like Ponting, tendulkar, lara & sm others of ur era.
We miss u ol.

Another God of Cricket from Australia....legend
Smith
@@donmylifedonmylife368 Right
cricket will never be the same again now that my legend, idol, hero and above all everything i know about cricket has gone. mixed emotions indeed.
My Favourite Cricketer of all time. Migrated to Australia in 2003 and got to see the magic that is Punter.
it's just impossible to achieve what ponting has achieved ..the greatest captain ever who just like to win at any cost..great caain ..great batsmen great fielder
A fierce competitor .Never to take a backward step. His manchester innings in 2005 defines his personality .
Absolute LEGEND 👌 Diehard fan since his early playing days... Still miss Ricky Ponting in the cricket field... My ambition is to meet Ricky someday 💖💖
My favorite batsman of all time. Watching him bat was a privilege. And his captaincy... what can I say. Every person in the cricketing world fear ponting's team. Lots of love and respect for this legend from Bangladesh.
Most stylish Right Hand Batsman of all time and no one can even copy one shot of him. Uniqueness of his batting is something very beautiful.
he is really a great batsman. i was born in 1995 and grown up watching australia cricket team during those days.
Most aggressive captain in world...😍😍😍
He is a legend 😘😘
He was the first guy whom I watched playing cricket on television ...
Love u RICKY PONTING 😚😚😍😘😗
Steve Waugh as well
Hated ricky when he thrashed us in joburg in 2003 final
But let me admit it he was the one whom i used to admire beside tendulkar lara dravid and kallis
108test wins as a player
3world cup tittles
Champions trophy winner
Century in both innings in his test 100th test
Best player of pull short
Those front foot pull shots dy wl be in memories forever
Best fielder after jonty
Ricky Ponting u r a legend of world cricket
Respect to u from India
Phenomenal
Great player in cricket history
I never saw don bradman but can say that i have seen pointing sachin and lara the three gratest batsman of all time love u pointing
Ricky Ponting is best Captain in all format, Ponting is the great batsman forever and fantastic fielder at this time. ....
My favourite Cricketer Forever. ...
I think that he is captain of world 11. .....👍.
Loved the fact that they used only test match clips and not from ODIs
Bcz test is real cricket
@@ArhamKhan-gy3uw i agree
Great cricketer and great captain. Disgusting sportsman.
jayesh Pratap Singh no one asked and anyway there is an argument that kohli is a bad sportsman
@@robnicholas6169 I would definitely say Virat is a bad sportsman but in most cases you have to be to be an all time great. Especially as in individual achievements.
What a legend. I grew up watching him, warnie and co just dominate (and I really mean dominate, unlike these days) all teams in all conditions for an extended period of time. He is the last, the final, the remaining of the golden era of cricket. Clarkey better a learn a thing or two from him, he was brought up from the tough old days of boony, tubby - you earned respect, no flashy metro crap. Just good, honest, tough, bloody hard working cricket
His fielding should be mentioned more - genius.
Mate, the Oz side of the 2000s was just so great. I can't even think of the fact that that team could be beaten by anyone anywhere in the world. What a team it was!!! Used to make me cry (Being an Indian fan).
Dent Beating Australia in Australia during that time was ten times harder then winning a World Cup
108 test wins most wins as captain and 2 WC wins and an amazing fielder some of records which won't be broken soon💜💜💜💜💜💜👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌🙌🙌🙌
I remember his 170 odd in the 2003 WC final. I was 9 years old but I could see this guy was a most dangerous batsman. I had never seen anyone dominate with the bat like that before.
It’s amazing how you don’t know what you have until it’s gone!! I grew up watching Ricky from the start, and I guess I took him for granted.. I miss he tenacity and leadership, his batting was world class and he is sorely missed 😢
Good Captain Ponting!
I can smell something ? It`s BS ! Aussie bullshit !
oooooo00000h get you dear !
I really like rivky great captain
@@samgreen8109 you okay talking to yourself?
@@StephenCarrIsBald But you just spoke to me ? Well worth waiting 8 years for mate !! l must have been living in England when l posted it !!
I am from India🇮🇳 and my fav batsman is punter absolutely loved his attitude
Great legend love from india...end of an era, generations to inspired by his legacy
What!a player of his era.
Punter has huge effect on me...as a person..such a fighter..
Going to miss a great player. Growing up as a kid all you would do is sit down and watch ricky play every game. I remember MCG in an ODI with my dad as a little boy Ponting just killing the Sri Lanka's with the Bat. I will never forget those moments.
THANK YOU RICKY PONTING :)
God.. this video is so emotional. And the background symphony 😭
Best ever I am from his home town
You are lucky
the best to have ever played the game 🇦🇺😘😘
One of all time greatest living legend one and donly Ricky Ponting punter my all time favourite bastman winning 3 hatrick world cup 2 has captain 2 champion trophy over 108 test match what a Legandary captain ❤🎉
I know the video is about Ricky Ponting but we also have to credit the team under him and the way he marshalled the troops. It was genuinely scary to face off against that Test Match team of 2003. Worst part was after getting rid of much of the top and middle order, having to contend with Gilly coming in at number 7.
Justin Langer
Matthew Hayden
Ricky Ponting
Damien Martyn
Michael Bevan
Andrew Symonds
Adam Gilchrist
Andy Bichel
Shane Warne
Brett Lee
Glenn Mcgrath
The squad doesn't even include the likes of Jason Gillespie / Brad Hogg / Lehmann. 90% of these players could easily slot into the current Australian/other countries' playing XI.
I like my childhood I like ricky n ganguly both r true legend
ABSOLUTE LEGEND 💯👌🏼
You are a true champion RICKY. Great Aussie of all time
My all time favorite ricky
Please do one on Adam Gilchrist - the man who Steve Waugh dubbed as the greatest player Australia has ever produced!
HE IS MY FAVOURITE AFTER SACHIN.
cricket is not the same without punter! its left a big whole in the game!
For me he was The best timer of cricket ball either its square cut ,cover drive but in hook and pull no one can be like him punter hatts off to you gentleman the legendary captain ,batsman and fielder of cricket absolutely a big legend this Sachin and Lara were only great batsman but this guy was a complete package PUNTER THE HUNTER OF CRICKET GAME
# LEGENDS every where @ 3:02
Ponting the person i always admire as a sportsman and a great human being ❤
The very best. On behalf of all Pakistani cricket fans, thank you Punter. You are the reason why we love cricket so much!
An insane captain, and an insane team, which dreamed of nothing else than a win, come how it may, irrespective of the prevailing situation. His passion for success was insane, and that rubbed off on his teammates, creating truly world champions, who were expected to win every match, by the time it ended
my all time favourite
I love Ricky
He created a dominating team named Australia which won 3 world Cup consistently and also dominated a decade is not a joke
Steve Waugh created
@@rakshithnayak1206 yes and he continued the legacy with perfection
PEOPLE ...IGNORE THE FACT PONTING WON THE 2003 and 2007 Wc Without Many of the legendary players he had ...most of them were groomed By ponting or Started with Ponting .... He was 26 When Handed the captaincy Of Australia
That last line from JL sums it all up - "Like Shane Warne he's irreplaceable" !!!! gosh, goosebumps are still going...
I love Ricky ponting a lot.
Possibly the best Captain. He was a great leader all the way from England.
Best innings 160 runs against india 2003 wc final, I can't forget that innings
My love ponting❤️
All time my fov
legend..
Ponting has amazing test wins record purely because of the team he had. In my opinion Graeme Smith was the best captain. Had he played for 4-5 more years he would have surpassed all records of Ponting and perhaps of Kallis even.
The match used to be over the minute he stepped in the pitch. Happy retirement captain.
The Legend and will be unforgettable till the time cricket will alive .
justin langer words sums up the whole career of mighty punter he was my favourite batsman of all time take a bow great man
Punter you can proudly say you and your team did great
Ricky Ponting greatest ever cricket captain of all time in the world
Ricky ponting is King all Time
My all time favorite
GOD
Thank you Ricky
RUclips recommend me this after 8 years ,
Smith is absolute quality, but Ponting's drive, hunger and ability to get the most out of his players, makes him the best
My favourite player Ricky ponting
My all time fevuorite pointing

My favourite cricketer Ricky ponting Adam Gilchrist Matthew Hayden Simon Curtis Michael Clarke Steven Smith Grand makara bat Lee David Warner and Michelle Johnson

Ricky Ponting sir
happy birthday
Great player... So many great memories....... His aggressive style has influenced me similar to this era's great player Virat Kohli......
Legend❤💝
One of the greatest of all time
The best captain ever...♥️♥️♥️
All legend in the same era.... .
Take Mcgrath, Ponting & Warne out & that Australian team would never have been the Invincible Australian team.. Respect
Bro there was Hayden, Watson, Langer, Symonds, Lee, Gilchrist. Have never seen a match, but have seen these players in action, so they were also there as backup
True legend of the Cricket.
Just looking at the comments i see that more people are trolling virat and saying that he has never faced such a good bowlers which were there at the times of pointing..😅😅 so why are u all judging him u don't know how he(virat) would've played at that tym because everybody can see him that he beats up every challenge if it's about a wc win then he is not retired yet give him some time surely he will win a wc.. one more thing is we have also seen some of the greats who performed very well against old bowlers but have failed facing new bowlers like yuvraj singh, virender sehwag so we should not judge any player if we've not seem them playing
You must be so proud
I never saw Bradman, Tendulkar, Ponting and Lara but I see Steve smith and much more
You nailed it mate...
Great comment 👍👍
@Fortnite101 Right 👍
Steve Smith is a joke compared to these guys. True legends those 3 were.
Where have we gone so wrong. Our bowlers are still great, but damn our batsmen aren't doing well. They need a person to lean on a bit and learn from. Bring back Smith and Warner. I swear to god, if someone tells me "but they cheated".
All you have to do is look at how our bowlers have handed the transition. We went from Lee, Johnson, Siddle, from around that late 2000s, early 2010s. Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins and Lyon have learned from their predecessors
@@mattcecil6692 you are guys are best than indian crowd who dont know to respesct their current players of country
Great batsman and player...other qualities you already know
My all time xi
Greatest captain of all time also the greatest batsman with Sachin and Lara 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love ponting
Love you Ricky pontig
AUS my favourite team
Great batsman in Australia all area👍
This player has scored lots of runs on fast, grassy wickets, in comparison to nowadays wickets: I love his batting, fielding
I think punter left too early, he was under pressure, board is keep pushing him at that time. He chose to leave the game. If he was still captian at that time than he would have played more games
What's the eighth difficult question in the world?how can I get up and down?
Greatest captain ever who was handling 10 legends
my favrat player punterr
Puntr love you miss you
