*You didn't only won matches but also our Hearts Steve*
*God Bless Always*
thank you legend for memories so much love from India thank you champion
Most Admired Player and/or Captain For His Consistency and Commitment to His Tenure. Skilled Sportsman Yet Much More In Terms of Fellow or Skipper. "S. Waugh" Defines "Reward for Effort". Awesome!
RIP that crowd...
Honestly Steve Waugh and Allan langer are the only athletes I can remember Australian premiers and prime ministers eulogising their career. Then there’s Sachin Tendulkar who got a call out from barrack Obama as well. When a world leader of a country that doesn’t even know the sport mentions you’re retiring that’s something epic.
One of the Oly gentleman in Australian cricket
Those magical words of someone in the crowd just as Steve left the ground one last time " Thanks Mate ". My best childhood years were spent in awe watching the Waugh brothers guide and navigate the Aussie teams through victory after victory with sublime batting supremacy. You guys epitomized the " Golden Years of Cricket ". Thanks mates.
I watched this match live... wonderful childhood memories
Steve Waugh true cricketing Gentleman.
1 for the ages, Steve
Best Australian Captain. He changed cricket in the late 90s and ruled cricket in the 2000s. His aggressive nature changed test match cricket. 😢😢😢
Big respect to waugh, Gilchrist and Brett Lee. 🙌
A legend and great servant of Australian cricket.
I never watched His Live Match. But whatever Heard about Him He's fantastic player...
Australian skipper and all rounder Steve Waugh was my childhood crush.steve Waugh from Oceania .I enjoyed his walking, talking, stares. When he came for the toss round wearing that cap, that silk coat, reserved, eyes either looking forward or looking downward, my heart beat faster. I remember him holding the trophy with his hands, smiling, when the nation won the world cup, I think that was 99'. I still do love him as Shakespeare wrote in his sonnet about love - ' ........it was an ever - fixed mark', ' .......... love's is not time's fool......' . All the best captain for your present and future
In a nutshell the man behind the grooming the finest australian team of all time.
Mark Taylor
It was a combined effort by Border, Mark Taylor and Tugga
Or rather one of the greatest teams of all time that the world has ever witnessed !
What an amazing life he lived 👏 An incredible batsmen and the best of captains. Such longevity at the highest level averaging over 50 in test cricket. Such powerful mental toughness and determination. I have been blessed to grow up watching him. Thanks Steven
