Spot on with the smells. I slept in my house while selling and lived out of a suitcase. I ate dinner and breakfast away from home. No food whatsoever Left at 8-9am and returned around 7. Had multiple offers within 4 days of listing it.

That’s a solid strategy! It’s amazing how much of a difference those little details can make. Keeping the house scent-free and moving out your day-to-day life really paid off with those quick offers. Congrats on the successful sale! ❤

I've had the realtor reject a showing. Never mind the seller. The seller never even knew there was a request to visit their property.

That’s frustrating! It’s concerning when the seller isn’t even aware of potential interest. Communication between the realtor and seller is so important in the selling process. I hope it worked out in the end! 🙏

My family spent several days getting our home ready for an inspection by the “buyer”. We got our home professionally cleaned, sparkling clean.
The buyers wanted to drop our price down by 5K after the inspection.
We wondered why, it made no sense to us at all.
My mother went into her bedroom and someone had found one pice of African American hair!! They had placed said strand of hair on my Mother’s nightstand, which was white!!
Yesss, we are people of color and come to find out they were of European descent!!
The gall of them to be that small-minded and racially motivated in their hunt for a bargain!! Just absolutely disgusting and despicable behavior on their part!!

I've had the realtor say that the seller said we couldn't see the home until the open house a few days later

That’s a tough situation. It can be frustrating to wait, especially when you're eager to see a place. Sometimes sellers want to create buzz by limiting showings until the open house, but it can be inconvenient for serious buyers like you.

I've seen a house that had spider webs and dirt behind the TV sofa area also

Yikes! That’s definitely not the best first impression for potential buyers. It’s amazing how easily overlooked areas like that can make a big difference in how a home is perceived.

Homeowners are : i bought my house in the 50's for 25k todays market worth 250k i think i'll put it on the market for top dollar. Reality is those avocado and gold appliances with asbestos tiles and original terrazzo floors with pink and blue fully tiled bathrooms and green shag rug. Never done anything but wear and tear and thinks they deserve todays value 😂

    Spicy smell is not racism
If you can't eat it, you probably can't smell it either. Makes me nauseous.
