Christopher Nolan is a god. Every movie he makes is absolutely brilliant. The only movie of his that isn't in my top 10 is Insomnia. And most people love that movie. That's how good his movies are. Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, Dark Knight, Inception, Dark Knight Rises, and Interstellar. Best resume ever.
Should've gave him more time, something like an hour maybe. He deserves it. Best Director of All Time without a doubt. Memento The Prestige Batman Begins The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Rises Inception Interstellar... No one else has a track record like that... No one.
He is the greatest mind of Hollywood :) ! Thanks to him , the Dark Knight Trilogy became a huge success and Inception . I can't wait to watch Man Of Steel, he wrote the story and produce the film with Zack Snyder :) .
The problem? The Master has high ratings and high praise from most critics. Stepping away from argumentum ad populum, PTA has written and directed expressionist films like The Master before. Punch Drunk Love is a quintessential example of this. And still, the characters in The Master are excellently crafted and deep, while dialogue remains excellent and tight. What specifically do you not like about the script of that film?
Some of the comments on here are so blatantly uninformed. It's like they've never seen a film that wasn't made by Christopher Nolan. Yes, he's a fantastic director, but people need to stop saying he's the greatest director of all time, "without a doubt." That's ignorant.
I think he will be able to do something amazing with that franchise. I always wanted to see a Terminator movie set in a post-apocalyptic future done right. He should at least write the script.
@malows1234 SEE HOW MANY MOVIES HAVE BEEN MADE BY NOLAN THIS IS AN ACCLAIMED DIRECTOR WITH SUCH A SMALL RESUMÉ OF MOVIES THIS DIRECTOR HAS "NO BAD MOVIES" PERIOD
The opposite, really. PTA shines through his plots, characters, and dialogue. Nolan shines mostly through his technical work, granted that he does have interesting stories and tells them well. Compare any character in a PTA film to any character in a Nolan film and you'll find infinitely more depth in the PTA character. However, compare cinematography and Nolan wins because of technical achievement, even if I really like PTA's symbolic shooting style where every shot tells a small story.
After watching many of his movies, my English grades actually improved.

Christopher Nolan is a pure genius and a true storyteller. He is my inspiration and I hope to be just as great when I direct.
Should've gave him more time, something like an hour maybe. He deserves it. Best Director of All Time without a doubt.
Memento
The Prestige
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight

Gideon C.A. So true.
Add Dunkirk to the list.
one of the directors that i really respect.
You should have mentioned that he hates excessively using CGI and uses practical effects more.
Interstellar???
hates using cgi? lmao
@@stanley3119 He used as much Practical effects as possible...look it up...
@@satheeshgodi612 oh i didnt know the black hole was a practical effect lol.
By the way yes I saw the tesseract bts
This needs an update doesn't it?
I really wish watchmojo would go back to doing these videos
Mr.Nolan you had made History with your movies.
The Best Director Of All Time!
A 10 year old comment!
Nolan is one of my Favorite Directors
The day a Christopher Nolan movie flops is the day I lose faith in the world.
@Spyder Mbx tenet doesn’t count, COVID took that one
My influence and inspiration! I hope I become half as great of a director as Nolan :-/
He's never made a bad movie. how many directors can say that?
he`s the only reason I'm excited about the new Superman movie
This guy, and Zack Snyder for the next Superman film. Whoa, I can see another killer reboot in sight.
He is the greatest mind of Hollywood :) ! Thanks to him , the Dark Knight Trilogy became a huge success and Inception . I can't wait to watch Man Of Steel, he wrote the story and produce the film with Zack Snyder :) .
He's already a legend. Visionary director. No one like him
Momento was the work of genius, story is simple but it's all in the direction.
Best director ever.
i already know its going to be the best superman film ever so far
i make short films for my film school and always use a nolan like look for each one, hes really my biggest influence =)
the dark night is the best movie ever
I'm super hyped for Interstellar
There's simply no one better.
More like greatest MOVIE ever made.

I don't understand why the video is so short.
But making this short video won't lessen his career.
Nolan, he is more than a oscar winner.
This man has truly inspired me to become a filmmaker :D lol
In Nolan We Trust
Nolan is the fucking best
A quote from jeremyjahns on the with day god created Christopher Nolan and on the ninth Chris started making movies
this is like watching a really decent student`s school assignment
One among the very few to get zero dislikes
They used footage from Superman Returns becuase the Superman he is doing isn't released yet. He didn't have anything to do with Superman Returns.
Dear WatchMojo
please do a life and career of Peter Jackson,
frickin love that guy
Nolan need to make a reboot of LOTR and Harry Potter and make it realistic.
@malows1234 SEE HOW MANY MOVIES HAVE BEEN MADE BY NOLAN

So true! Finally a director who takes unique topics and writes mind-blowing screenplays, and who's successful. Contrast with Michael Bay.
But I would like to see him directing a Terminator movie. That would be great.
I BELIEVE IN CHRISTOPHER NOLAN
that sounds like a movie nolan would be able to re-invent really well.
Chris Nolan.
Right up there with Stanley Kubrick, but not quite.
On the eighth day, God created Christopher Nolan. On the ninth day, Christopher Nolan started making movies :)
I'm batman fuck yeah
the problem with The Master was the script. It was technically flawless. except the very loose script.
Not one mention of his brother Jonathon?? He basically wrote all his screenplays, batman, memento, the prestige,
This generation's Kubrick....both have never won an academy award lol
Can you Watchmojo do the bio of Guillermo del Toro?
Paul Thomas Anderson.
The opposite, really.

The own disliked this is clearly Joss Whedon.
disagree completely, nolan is so inspirational, those directors wouldnt be able to make batman what he is today.
agreed, PTA is better
Yep.
fair enough.
LOTR should never be rebooted as peter jackson literally owned them movies and the harry potters just doesn't suit nolan.
Ever heard Tarantino?
*Kubrick, definitely Kubrick
not by his scripts. technically- yea.
there is one dislike, i tried to do the whole "one guy is..." but i really couldnt think of anything
Ever heard of Quasimodo?
2018?
Cough (superman returns)
ben affleck
Didem Öğretmenden gelenler sea
LOL nolan didn't have anything to do with superman returns...
*cough* get your facts straight *cough*
im writing in friends books i wanna become a director sinds im 3 yaers old and made my first short at 4 years
Thema better your grammar.
I believe in a symbol..kinda like yours
I'm just kidding.
