This is everything an appliance repair video should be: short, to the point, clear, in focus, not shaking. And most importantly, no annoying music, just a guy giving clear directions.
You should probably say that before you replace the valve assembly you should test it for continuity with a multimeter. Which is seriously what I am about to do right now.

Thanks for the video. Went exactly as shown 15 minutes. Solved the problem of water not dispensing into the ice tray on the recycle. I'm making ICE again..

The ice maker on my samsung doesn't get water, but the water on the front works fine, what do you think can be the issue? - thank you for your help.

I’m having the same issue! I’ve tried everything short of throwing it out and setting it on fire .. lol..just kidding about that but it’s very aggravating when you go through everything and still have no ice! First off I live on a fixed income so I can’t afford to buy every one of the pieces there videos suggest! Please let me know if you get your problems fixed and how did you do it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me!!

Hi, this video was very helpful in replacing the inlet valve. But I still have a problem with the May refrigerator. Doesn't make ice. I also replaced the water filter. I even replaced the Dispenser Control Board. What else could be the reason, my refrigerator still doesn't make ice. Please help.

Great video thank you for sharing. However just to add my experience here so that others don’t have to go through what I did. When my dispenser stopped working I researched online to see what it could be and everyone seemed to say it was the water inlet valve at the rear or a frozen pipe in the door (not likely in the newer fridges) going to the dispenser. After waiting 2 weeks for the inlet valve and after fitting it, it still didn’t work. I tried everything until I removed and emptied the water reservoir behind the salad crisper. When I reattached it I found the reservoir didn’t refill at all. So I checked that good pressure and water was going to the water inlet valve and it was fine. So I removed the clear/white pipe from the inlet valve at the rear that goes to the reservoir/tank and blew in to it but seemed like it was blocked. I then removed it from the reservoir/tank and pulled it out completely and blew into it. Nothing. It’s a 2 foot pipe and the air wouldn’t go through so I waited a few minutes as I thought it was frozen then suddenly it cleared. Voila! There you have it. Reattached everything, the pipe goes back in from inside the fridge easily, and the tank filled up and water and ice is now perfect. Just that 2 foot pipe! 😂

The water inlet on my Samsung seems to be smaller than 1/4”. A 1/4” nut can slide over the threads on the valve. Do you know the size of the nut on your blue water hose?

    i fixed my fridge non-dispensing water/ice issue by :
    1) remove the water container(supplied with the fridge) first, mine is non-plumbing fridge
    2) insert the 50ml syringe(filled with water) into the water container hole
    3) press on the button sensor (beside the container location) to simulate(or bluff the fridge) that u had put back the container
    4) when u hear the fridge pump machine sound
    5) compress your syringe to fill the water pipe(in the fridge) with water. some water will leak so prepare a cloth to wipe
    6) Voila. done.

It was. So quick story...when it first started running continually I had to shut of the water from in back of the refrigerator. Unfortunately the shut off valve did not hold completely so I had to cut the water further downstream and replace the shutoff valves at the water source behind the refrigerator which had nothing to do with the water running from the refrigerator. Once I hooked the the water back to the refrigerator and plugged it back in it worked. That was it. Good luck! Let me know if that works for you.

Well. I'm an idiot. I recently changed the faucet in my kitchen. A day later my wife tells me the fridges water doesn't work. Like an idiot, I told her it's just a coincidence. Ordered the new solenoid.... Put it in... Doesn't work. Take apart all the Hoses blow into them and they all seem clear.
Watch another video where they are telling you to do all the basic things... One is turning on and off the water valve.... Oh go and look and instantly saw that I made a really dumb mistake and skipped the basics.
I had the valve to the water off.
    I am an idiot. 😂
