I listened to this episode on spotify first, but came back because I was highly intrigued by Indie's story. Really enjoying the pod mate! Good variety of interesting people & not just hardcore wheeling! I'm 10 episodes in and definitely hooked by now. Cheers Tony, keep up the good work 🤙 greetings from belgium.
@@arborigenie this is so great, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and so cool to have a listener in Belgium! Glad you’re enjoying the podcast.
Great episode guys. Thought I’d just chime in what indie was saying about Tassie. I’ve lived there for nearly 5 years and I reckon I’ve seen more of it than most will see in a lifetime. Tassie does have a lot of national park definitely but it also has a lot of poorly managed public land. Our state forests are trashed by government funded deforestation and once you’re off the beaten track even a little bit, you’ll be shocked by how much you see. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful place and I encourage everyone to see it but it’s not all as “untouched” as the tourist spots would make you think. Cheers guys!
@@Danielinthewild thank you mate, great to get this insight from a local, as sad as it is to hear. I’m the first to admit I’ve only seen a very small part of Tassie but even the parts I have seen, there is no doubt that forestry and mining has been allowed in some pristine areas that should have been protected. Our governments have a lot to answer for.
