Velvet Underground was just forming around this time in NYC, one of the only other darker tinged bands of that era. No doubt they would have found some of their music interesting.

here is something to ponder: all this rare stuff by the doors gets posted but not the SAN JOSE /SAN FRANCISCO radio station commercial that uses Light My Fire in it. some former employee of some radio station has on a videotape (Betamax? Vhs?) but hasn't transferred it as of yet I posted on FACEBOOK so much but still. it also has CCR BAD MOON RISING IN IT ALSO

The Doors were making that New York interviewer feel like he wasn't the real scene.

Why did Jim have to go to Paris? Man the music this band could have produced. A special foursome and America’s greatest band. R.I.P Jim and Ray.🙏❤️🎼.x

Jim was depressed and needed to change his life. It was helpful at first but ultimately it didn't work out, obviously.

No. Elvis was great don’t get me wrong but he was a front man who had many bands. The greatest authentic band who mostly wrote there own songs, to hail from the USA was the Doors.x
