Amazing. This is like seeing an interview with someone who spent time with a deity. The sixties were such a unique and incredible time of unsurpassed musical creativity and Jim was an artist of unsurpassed intellect, natural vocal abilities, dark poeticism, sense of theatre and ferocious beauty. Its hard to think of anyone who combined those qualities so effortlessly

Brilliant anecdotes. I wish the interview lasted longer. In many parts of the Western world It often feels like we’re running out of cool places to hang out & enjoy each other’s company. I guess we’re on the cusp of meeting specifically in virtual spaces & hopefully that will liven scenes up a bit again, with augmented/virtual & mixed reality. Still, nothing beats an actual physical location from L.A, to Ibiza, to Goa & way out east. Poverty stricken countries often have the most poetic beauty because of the genuine degradation & how people learn to live despite the adversity. Life in those places is raw & vital & a world away from living life thru the screen on a phone.

If you want more let me know here. But, if she was a junkie, how come more info does not turn up?. Her heroin dealer was also Marianne Faithfull's in Paris.
He was the soon of the wealthiest family in France. That's how they got Jim buried so quickly 1 signature. The dealer fled to Morracco immediately after and od's 1 yeard later. Pam od'd
in 1974 with 2 guys...I have the footage of all the interviews of the people at the Rock n' Roll Circus where Jim was carried out dead..put into the bathtub to look as a 'heart attack" story.

Pam was one of the funniest people I ever met. She was beautiful, she looked like the Snow Queen and yet she did things like collect Lugers. She had a vicious sense of humor. Anyone have any theories of who Jim was heckling at the Whisky that night?

I saw another version of this video where this man was identified as Andrew Morrison, Jim’s younger brother.

two funny quicidences with this video @ 2:11 his moustache looks exactly like the symbol from a defunct NBA team called the Cleveland Rebels which I was just looking at half an hour ago. #2: On his wall is what appears to be a monkee head which is funny because just yesterday as I was tearing down a shelf in the apartment I've lived for 17 years and I got a flashback memory from when I first moved in (2003) I put this head of a monkee clay figure on my wall and how this made the landlord and the painter laugh when they came to finish up fixing something as I was still moving in. #3 is it just me but does this guy not seem familiar like he's been in B movies. #4 must have been awesome to have been friends with Jim.

I'm curious. Could any old joe walk into the whiskey a go go in those days with record exec's hanging out.

Yes, The Whisky has always been a venue for upcoming acts. You could get in as long as you paid. Back then though, the booths on the floor level were mostly reserved for record executives and celebrities. I'm not too sure about the second level tables.

Great stories. However, if you're interviewing someone either mic them or lower your own voice. The interviewer is extremely loud and the interviewee is very quite.Watching this I had to turn the volume up and down constantly. Thanks for the upload though.

i read somewhere due to supposed similarities, jim had a jealous beef, or tension, with the singer of clear light, both them and the doors were bought by elektra records. i wonder if that was who this mans referring to, stealing jims moves. even so, 'night sounds loud' by clear light remains a super amazing psych rock song for the ages...
