Amazing. This is like seeing an interview with someone who spent time with a deity. The sixties were such a unique and incredible time of unsurpassed musical creativity and Jim was an artist of unsurpassed intellect, natural vocal abilities, dark poeticism, sense of theatre and ferocious beauty. Its hard to think of anyone who combined those qualities so effortlessly

Brilliant anecdotes. I wish the interview lasted longer. In many parts of the Western world It often feels like we’re running out of cool places to hang out & enjoy each other’s company. I guess we’re on the cusp of meeting specifically in virtual spaces & hopefully that will liven scenes up a bit again, with augmented/virtual & mixed reality. Still, nothing beats an actual physical location from L.A, to Ibiza, to Goa & way out east. Poverty stricken countries often have the most poetic beauty because of the genuine degradation & how people learn to live despite the adversity. Life in those places is raw & vital & a world away from living life thru the screen on a phone.

@Angie Gomez good point Angie! Too bad we can't get another, more accurate Doors movie.

@@SoFLDawg Sadly, there will never be another “major” Doors Hollywood movie. Stone’s piece is a movie, not a documentary. It has many strong points. Btw Robbie served as a consultant for the film; it was mainly Ray who despised it.

@@jamescooper3571 You’re a lucky man James! I’m sure you’ve got some great stories that are not already included in this video. Lately I’ve been reading about Jim’s Mustang. Any clue if that car is around somewhere or was it totaled like some of the stuff I’ve read? That’s a cool pic by the way, it’s in the book I read! ✌🏼✌🏼

i read somewhere due to supposed similarities, jim had a jealous beef, or tension, with the singer of clear light, both them and the doors were bought by elektra records. i wonder if that was who this mans referring to, stealing jims moves. even so, 'night sounds loud' by clear light remains a super amazing psych rock song for the ages...

Great stories. However, if you're interviewing someone either mic them or lower your own voice. The interviewer is extremely loud and the interviewee is very quite.Watching this I had to turn the volume up and down constantly. Thanks for the upload though.
