Reminds me of my electrical issues involving a fuse. I had a Geo Tracker I was road tripping with a friends (in their own cars) and after a week of hard driving suddenly I lost half the power to the cab. Radio dead, interior lights dead, dash lights dead, and a few other things. I panicked assuming it would be a major issue but my buddy whom is a mechanic (and very good at diagnostics) calmly said check the fuses first and see what we find. Behold a blown fuse and it went as soon as we replaced it. Next find out what it is and since I had the factory maintenance manual with me we traced things out. We found all most of the items in the cab actually go through the dome light an I had just replaced it. 10 minutes later it was apart, a broken wire fixed, and everything was back to normal.
From that I learned a few things. 1: Don't panic, and check the basic items first 2: Get the best repair manual you can for the vehicle, ideally a factory manual with electrical layout and repair breakdowns. Easier with old cars and book manuals, but still try. 3: Go step by step through the system and don't skip around or try to just bypass the issue till you know what it is. Will take a while but worth it!

I had a Bentley Turbo R. Beautiful car but the AC drove me nuts, most time it would not work. I was around a mechanical workshop, told the guy of my problem, he had a quick look, pulled the AC fuse , it was fine, he then fetched a cotton bud and some rubbing alcohol, cleaned inside the fuse, put the fuse back and……. Freezing cold air. Wtf the issue was dust in the fuse casing. I asked him how much for that. He said don’t worry about it mate. I then drove off and came back with a carton of beer for him. Thanks mate.

Bravo on sharing your challenges and lessons learned. This felt like a lot of the postmortem analyses that I conduct in my IT role.
    Well done!

Bravo, excellently done. Happened to me, but it was because of an after-market relay (non-OEM) on flying Miata Hush-O-Matic exhaust. Put an factory relay issue gone.

I had a similar issue with my NB. It is heavily modified. I was out driving it and it just died. It was out of action for 2 months while I diagnosed the issue. Turns out my ECU had gone bad and was not sending power to the fuel pump relay. I swapped out the ECU and it fired right up. If you can, it is great to have a stash of spare parts so you can swap them out while troubleshooting.

Similar issue happened to my brothers GMC truck, I saw him taking the engine apart after it just stopped one day and after 2 days he went to buy more parts, I casually went into the trucks fuse box and found a 15amp fuse shorted out, I replaced it and ran perfectly. He got home and he saw the truck moved and parked in a different place. He came to me and asked what I did …I pulled the amp out of my shirt pocket and he was shocked. Thanks for sharing, hope this helps the DIY’rs out there some day. 😄✌🏼

Yep if your car blows a fuse, replace it and start asking WHY, because it will happen again! Do NOT put a higher fuse than the one that blew that is a risky solution, the correct fuse protects something worse from blowing.
I have also blown some fuses because of a downstream O2 sensor that I installed and the wires were touching metal on the car (I was using extensions to skip emissions lmfao tough times) it was a tight fit and I didn't realize at the time that that would happen.

This is true for any fuse too, be it in a car, house, or some other device. The fuse is a final failure point, and almost never the cause of the failure (short of being a defective fuse or very old). Replace it once, but if it blows again it is time to search out the downstream cause.

You’ve got a very good thumbnail, an eye catching title and VERY good cinematography. You’re doing RUclips right, arguably better than me. Keep at it and you’ll go far :)

Those gauges on the dash look out of place, check drivendistrict for a nice gauge that goes in the air vent.

Nice channel man I can't buy an ND until next year so I'll just have to watch all the content I can until I finally drive one off the lot. I plan to turbo or super charge it so I'm finding your content interesting and helpful.
