    With high compression engine supercharging is more rewarding. None of the heat issues of turbos. With regards NC gearboxes. I can tell you the NC3 box was strengthened because issues with the NC1 and NC2.

    You dont have to drop the rear subframe to do a diff swap on an ND. I helped swap my buddies Diff for a factory LSD in an afternoon/evening.

      Absolutely. My 2018 Club with a BBR Stage 2 Turbo system had a tune and it sucked. Bryan at FAB9 made me a tune that was awesome and I can now run full atmospheric BOV.

    I want to hear about what internals you would buy? I know there's BBR GTI internals but theirs lowers compression which I've heard is an absolute pain to tune, especially with a turbo and other mods. There's other brand pistons but they're fast top which isn't a good idea for these engine either. A video on internals would be awesome!

    Still holding off on Turbo/ Supercharged. Also reminder if you do Autocross or track events it can throw you into up-tier classes. Daily drive with track events the 2016 ND is pretty solid. If you can afford it go for it, but like he says do your research! Good videos man! From Cali-Az

  • @Ambryu1

    I bought the kit as well, but it's not tuned, runs great except I get some pops and bangs from it running lean, I have a banks digital gauge and it plugs into the OBD2 porte and it reads as high as 16 AFR, but according to Engineering Explained the extra unburned air has an EGR affect that keeps the combustion temps low but effects the timing. Who did your tunning if I may ask and were did you buy the MAP sensor? I bought mine from FAB9 but it only reads up to 4 psi.

    • @Vitalewastaken
      @Vitalewastaken  7 месяцев назад +2

      I bought a tune from ECUtek which is what I saw online as the best upgrade for the AVO turbo kits. My analog boost gauge reads anywhere between 4.5 - 7 psi depending on rpm, temp, and altitude. I get much welcomed backfire as well and the car feels much smoother and more snappy to drive. I believe ECUtek recommended a specific MAP sensor to buy when I got their tune.

      Early models: gear grinds from LSD. Late models: synchro issues. The solution is typically to add really heavy gear oil, but it makes it hard to shift in cold climates.
