No one rebuilds engines anymore. Nice work and have a Great 2019!
Bro what lol engines are rebuilt by the thousand daily
@@Mr.Thermistor7228I was referring to repair shops. I realize engines are rebuilt, but no shop I know of rebuilds an engine in house, they mostly order a rebuilt engine from outside vendors.
Awesome attention to details!!
Thanks Thomas, having to pull everything back apart sucked but I got it fixed before it caused real damage to the block. 👍
maybe it's never happened but I was taught to always clock the c-clips for the wrist pin to 6 or 12 oclock. Think about one clocked to 3 or 9 oclock and the piston forces squeezing the clip and popping out.
I tried rotating them while installed and I'd could not get them to move. They're in there so tight I can't see them coming out. If i were worried about them id take everything apart again . Not saying you're wrong though. Thanks for the tip
@@themechanic6117 ya, i doubt they even would, I have to lift the end in the recess to start it in the groove then they'll spin.
False information
Hey bro when you say your cleaning with a coffee filter and brake clean what exactly do you mean? lmao, your using a coffee filter in place of a towel/rag? What is the advantage of using a coffee filter? Ive never heard that before just curious and always looking for better ways to do things
Hahaha moist.. I just want to make sure I have this right . When installing the Piston the ones with the deepest holes are for the intake side facing the front of the car?
Yes thats correct
@@themechanic6117 ok thx
What happens if the spec didn’t meet? The part where to used the string clay on the crank n rods as you’re torquing it.
Then you change the bearings until you get the specs you need
Your wearing a tank top to be formal but you like to party . I'm thinking your partying already :) I seen a guy from Saudi Arabia torque a new head gasket down on a corolla with just a breaker bar saying you have to go by feel . One year later it was still running fine . LOL
Lol just like any other bolt on a car I'm sure you can tighten them by feel but for peace of mind I'd rather torque ,plus I don't need all the keyboard warriors on the web of RUclips calling me names and saying what a shit job I did....which I get anyway 😂👍
what piston to wall clearance did you use?
Nice work need part3
The engine is finished...check the playlist...
I thought the end cap bolts stretch when torqued so are they still good to reuse after you plastigauged them?
I believe oem bolts do but ARP bolts can be reused.
i curious to kno what this beast of a engine is going in
A crx , but I need to find a clean one to buy. I'm still looking
Is ur crank a bit hard to turn since u assembled the pistons or is it suppose to spin free
There should be some resistance. It won't spin freely
What size socket is it for the pistons bolt's? Do I need a 12 teeth socket
Do you mean the connecting rod bolts?
The easiest way to get those connecting rod caps off if just loosen the bolts but not all the way n not to the end of the thread so you don't fuck up the threads...n just tap the bolts n bam you good to go...great video bro but I can't stand seeing you struggle with those bearing caps lol
Thanks for the tips 👍
Love it! Here's to a moist 2019!!! 😉😂😂😂🎉
😂😂👍 Yes! Lol
Keep your rod moist. Hahahahaha
💧💧😂
The tangs suppose to face the exhust side 🙏🏼
Didn't know that... I'm sure it'll be fine 😁
Perfection!
💪
Hi, planning to build k24 engine with aftermarket piston and rods, goal is 650whp, can I run cp 11:1? Our octane is 98, appreciate your advise
Only way you'll make that much power is with a turbo
@@themechanic6117 ya the plan is to turbo charge but we want more from engine power than turbo, thr way to go is higher cp maybe like 11:1
Which pistons are you running
Supertech 12.5:1
@@themechanic6117 what brand?
Supertech...
Where did you limit the vtc when tuning your engine?
I didn't limit anything
I think moist was found to be the grossest word in English
Yes I think that's true 😂👍
