"No Applicable user data found" error, tried USB drives from 1gb to 8GB, formated MBR FAT32 in PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP format, never works, tried all USB ports, unplugging the controller, tried many different firmwares 4.91, 3.74 even 2.80, and tried the firmwares from official sony & your link and others, non works. the update needs to be 2.70 or later. at best ive occasionally had a "the data is corrupted" for some older firmwares. so frustrating. Error 8002F147 when trying to read the USB update, but I think i know why now. this PS3 had a REX/DEX custom firmware 4.84 REX i think (I bought it 2nd hand only had it a few days before it died) so I found if I replace the HDD the screen asks about installing firmware & formatting HDD. I read I need a DEX/ REX firmware to do this,, when I do it errors at 20 - 22%% (8002F147) tried about 10 different REX CF to see if I can fix it but I t either errors at 20% install or the "no applicible data" error, which I think is because my console thinks its a dev console after the custom firmware and only wants that type of firmware. hope this helps others.
@@Asifelantha i dont have a spare hdd. i am using the same hdd, and after updating it to 4.90 version to 100% the screen goes black and asks me to select the language, after that i select yes in the hdmi option and then the screen goes black and again asks for the language and hdmi. 7:20 It doesnt go on this screen. i am stuck on this loop.
@@Asifelantha Yes it may be, but when I selected restore file system it also said that the "ps3 system storage is corrupted and will be restored" but as you know it again goes black after 100% completion. Please find a solution for this 🙏
