My problem is that the channels that post leaks PUT THEM IN THE THUMBNAIL, which means that even if I don’t watch the video to avoid the leaks I’ve already been spoiled just by scrolling through my feed
My biggest gripe with the RUclips scene is the cultivation of pure drama. Videos constantly going on and on about what's wrong with the game, oh the game is broken, oh my favorite gun has three less bullets. And the harassment on the Devs, oh the utter disrespect toward the Arrowhead team is astounding. Sure they're not perfect, but they don't deserve the amount of flak they get on a daily basis. It's so rare these days to get devs as dedicated to their games as Arrowhead. For once can we just be happy they actually give a shit.
Everytime the leaks or spoilers are mentioned in discussion I would say a majority of people want to experience certain things for the first time with no knowledge. For example unrelated to helldivers the whole internet, people and media platforms held a “no spoilers” for the marvel series for end game and Infinity war. And most people agreed to withhold information about what they say in the movie for like 2 weeks or something. So I’ll say that though it’s ethical to show leaks, you shouldn’t clickbait and shove it into peoples faces with the thumbnails. Also, there’s the situation of people just straight up lying about leaks. I was on Instagram yesterday and randomly of these feeds kept popping up and people talking about the aluminates and the clips and nothing to do with any leaks straight up lied also really messed up and really stupid and I hope that eventually stops as the game progresses
My biggest fear and criticism to how people react to leaks is people developing unfair expectations to upcoming content. There was a post or comment soon after the viper commandos warbond came out saying why are we only getting 2 armors, especially if we take into account the new armors we are getting have already been leaked 6-8 weeks ago. Arguments and expectations like these are ridiculous, its like seeing a trailer to a movie then realising it was recorded a year ago and calling it old then asking for a "new" movie.
I'm fine with leaks, I'm fine with youtubers making videos on leaks, what I'm not fine with is how easy it is for people that don't want spoilers to stumble across said spoilers. There are plenty of active shittubers in the Helldivers community that don't care. I personally like to know (or otherwise have an idea of) what is coming to the game so I can remain invested but I know others just don't want to see the leaks.
For me leaking is fine, but on RUclips, it makes for super lazy content imo. Recently I saw a video that looked like it would have new info or insights but it was literally 1 minute of the guy talking in his Intro then 5 minutes of the pre-made video of the leaked content the leaker made. This is probably why there's so much content around leaks. Imo youtubers should atleast add some unique substance to their leak coverage
Yeah I consider leaks to be spoilers for this game and try to avoid them, but have had a thing leaked to me and spoiled because he didn't even say it was a leak before talking about the leak in a general news video.
Possibly, but then again we never know. I’d imagine that it takes more resources than Arrowhead has to go after people who leak info than to just let it be
A less linear structure, display the intention in a short introduction that is informative enough to retain a desirable and considerate audience, and then develop your points in a more intricate less straight to the point, utilising the art of rhetoric, maybe include questioning and other forms of deep thinking or a level of philosophical thought appropriate. No listing of your prevailing points, envelop them throughout, even systematically but without stating them blatantly, rather fluently while poking at the rest of the points indirectly, even on irrelevant topics as a form of humour or other intent. Maybe try switch your tone in relevance to your point. Don't add writing to your video. Maybe change the background music to something relevant to what you are saying to add an affect to the audience, maybe take a moment of silence when prying at philosophical/deep thought, and then grab a hold of your audience once again in a change of topic, either back to the original point prior to such prying, or change it entirely if it were done with. The end of the video is just as important as the beginning, the beginning draws them in, and the end dictates their consistent or occasional visit, either so, is beneficial and surely greater than a click off at whatever point from lack of interest. Don't regurgitate an over practiced rehearsal to maintain a new viewer's attention, rather captivate them based on the video's purpose itself, if informative specifically of news about such, make it as short as would seem fit, while expressing little to no bias, if dwelling on a deeper not-so-thought about topic, make it as long as you want, for those whom will be captivated by such, would watch for an hour or longer sometimes, but stash it in Watch Later, to watch it later. Begin by smooth accordance to purpose, informative, be swift but do not talk fast, give your own up to date knowledge to offer un-bias news, for deep topic videos offer a lengthy introduction what is not short fallen but stretched out enough with the lasting mystery and wisdom to prevail a message or answer to a question. End it off with direct address for information and rhetoric questioning for deeper content. Do not ever ask for likes or subscriptions. Be consistent. Do not lag behind. Speak to your commenters. Be content. Be precise. Be memorable.
I definitely appreciate the time you took to write this comment, that being said, it seems a bit all over the place. I do see the constructive criticism, so thank you. But, I don’t mind asking people to support the channel with a like or subscribe.
If it is in the game files it is not a leak. A leak is information put out from an inside source. You say you are not the greatest at making thumbnails which is true. But you are also not the greatest at making videos. You make a video about a non issue for normal people. You even say that nothing that you claim is a problem is what you target.
@@ciphe5391 They are released because it is in the release game, just dont watch videos about leaks? RUclips thumbnails are very small, seeing a leak in a YT thumbnail wont ruin the game
@@the_backburner man your vids are good long form vids are hard I tried making a long form video and failed miserably Btw I can tell you put thought in to your thumbnails

Yep! This is 100% what I’m going for.
Helldivers 2 has a youtube problem in general. This is just one of them. Good that we talk about it
Fr I feel like every video is just click bait trash. It's like they want to milk the cow as fast as possible rather then cultivating it.

Im pretty sure the developers took a lot of the unreleased enemy files out of the public builds to try to stop the leaks

100% agree here. People fail to realize the time devs need to make changes and… develop things

I really like your thumbnails!
I've assumed the Developers don't care about leaks cause to them it kinda fills that gap in PR for a developmental roadmap.
