  • Making sure that your truck and axles are at a legal weight is important. Ensure that you don't get overweight tickets by scaling your loads.

I think you might have misspoke on the steer weight, you said 32200, maybe you meant to say 12200 not sure, but definitely not 32200,but not being critical, but new drivers that watch you might not know, enjoy your videos.

You're right, I did misspeak when I first mentioned the steer axel. The correct max steer axel weight is 13,200.
I mentioned the correct weight a couple of times later in the video. Hopefully, people will catch that correction. 😅
      Thanks for watching. 🧔🏿👍🏿

I’m a fanboy not gonna lie. It’s awesome seeing how to properly strap things down. I’ve been working on trucks for the last 20 years and I’m just telling you I’ve never seen a driver take this much care. I wish everyone had your work ethic I am positive the roads would be safer. Get a go pro and video with that weight rolling down the road it would be bad ass

I appreciate you watching my content, and thanks for the compliment. I'm always aiming to hone my craft. I enjoy the technical aspect of flatbed trucking.
That's a good idea about the gopro. I might just go that route in the future. 🤔

Bro, I got caught out there this week. Loaded out of Moorehead City, scaled out on their scale (gross only) drive 4 hours down the road an luckily scale house was closed. Stopped for the night at a Pilot and thought, let me get my axle weights just to be safe. 2K over on my trailer axles. Luckily got the go ahead to proceed with my trip from safety since I'd done what I could and was under gross and DOT left me alone and made it to destination.
Lesson learned, if I'm close on gross or don't trust how it's loaded I'm getting it CAT scaled even if I have to go OOR to do it.
Really appreciate your videos, man. Stay safe

I'm glad that everything worked out in your favor. You got lucky on that one. It sucks when there's no CAT scale close to where you pick up. Morehead City isn't near anything, unfortunately.
I appreciate you watching my content. Stay safe.

@@EruditeTrucker Yeah bro, Moorehead is tough. The loader also didn't know what he was doing and I didn't enough to tell him to move it forward a few inches. every 4" roughly translates to 500lbs. Next time, if I'm in doubt I'll tell him to move it. Because I dodged a bullet. Thanks again, bro. Keep the content coming. Be well!
