- This M.A.P (Multi Animator Project) is about Crookedstar's relationships with Rainflower, Mapleshade, and Brambleberry. I've had this idea for years now and I'm so glad to see it brought to life by so many talented animators.

Crookedstar's past is so sad and dark, he is truly a survivor, and i think Brambleberry was a mother figure to him

I cant remember the name but when crookedkit was rejected by his mother the other queen in the den cared for him and would sneak him into her nest after his mother forced him out of hers

@@BlackStar-rg9gr true, but medicine cats often do that, in many stories when queen's have taken in others kits they've been standoffish, treated them differently, so she stood out to me
i dont think many people realize crookedkit was so easy for mapleshade to manipulate was because she had kits of her own, and knew how to love them like a loving mother should. crookedkit never had that, and seemed to gravitate towards the loving energy mapleshade put out at the start. you captured that perfectly in this map!! everybody did amazing! :)

@@Asterthetherian.yes she did murderer people but if they had changed that and she went to starclan she would’ve been the greatest mother figure for crookedkit it would most likely be the best parent and kit relationship in the books but at last we didn’t get that

She definitely was. Although, tbh almost everyone was a better mother than Rainflower was. Heck, a dark forest cat out for revenge on a clan she hates was a better mother than Rainflower

Yo just me before i even read the book i made a fan character called bramblr berry but male!! And then i read the book 2 years later and also i want her to be my mothrr
The scene where the ghost of Mapleshades kittens being at the bottom of the river to greet Crookedkit was a awesome touch. It never occurred to me how Mapleshades' ghost only got involved when a kitten was about to drown in the very spot her kittens had drown. So in a way, Mapleshade is a ghost trapped by her past, and Crookedstar speaking of it is akin to helping Mapleshade move on as a spirit. She saved a kitten who can tell her story now. (Granted she is a demonic spirit as told in warrior cats and is haunting to Crookedpaw). Makes sense considering her energy around the camp is more grim around the river camp.

This last Scene when he’s surrounded by the gravestones of all his loved ones and relatives really got to me
Behold; one of the only disabled warrior cats who gets any position other than elder and medicine cat

He's not the only one. Gray Wing, Jagged peak, Brightheart, Deadfoot, Whitewater, Leopardstar, Briarlight, Berrynose, One Eye........ you're missing some cats

I adore the end scene where Crookedstar is mourning for everyone he has loved and lost!
The symbols on the stones to represent the cats are beautiful and easy to recognise. It just made me really emotional for some reason 😂

He's just showing up to the family gathering.
I like how at the end, the rocks show up corresponding to the song: Rainflower first, because the lyric "mamas trying", then Shellheart for "fathers lying", then Willowbreeze for "lovers crying", then Brambleberry and Hailstar for "education" and "music lessons" respectively, and then finally Oakheart for "conversation".
I haven't been able to stop rewatching this map since I first saw it
I haven't read the books in a while but I love how everyone showed Crookedstar's pain with mother figures and how Mapleshade manipulated him, and the song choice is so so good for this
Edit: AND the part where Brambleberry is shown to be teaching him herbs is my favorite, it has a sad undertone to it but I love how nice she is to Crookedstar

AAAAA this map is finnaly completed! Everyone worked so hard for their parts.. and now it's done, every part fits so well with the lyrics.. and all these parts together look amazing aswell, everyone deserves to be proud of themselves

The art style is so unique and it feels like it is a picture of Crookedstars life drawn on a paper by sketches and it has such a fictional aesthetic to it, which is actually really suitable and well drawn by all of the artists!

Crooked was my favorite after reading this book! I felt so bad for how his life went, but I love him he is strong mentally going through all that, and not believing maple that he lost everything because he knew he had all of every cat he loved. This map is amazing all the participants did an amazing job! Yet again another great idea cheeta! Keep up the good work!

I love this! The music goes so well with this map, the colors, and expressions tell the story so well
Maples shadow being cast on him making her look like a demon was wow!
I like how when crooked was sinking her could see maples kits ghost it adds a dark feeling and gives crooked hints to maples past and also at 2:11 was that a reference to cowboy mapleshade when she died the cats she killed and her kits were all around her in the water when she died? That was genius! It also( at least I think so) makes crooked realize that shes a murderer and the stones st the end were also unique
I love all of your maps so far if I had to say which one was my favorite its Cowboy mapleshade I liked how she was depicted as a monstrous bloodthirsty demon as she was in MV book and I like the sadistic tone to it also Maple is my favorite wc villainess 😂

I love the concept! Brambleberry is one of my favorites, and her relationship with Crooked was so heartwarming, so I love that she was included!
I love the small detail at the end, where when you look at the stones you can actually see the names of warriors like a shell and a heart, which means ShellHeart
there is an oaktree with a heart for OakHeart, a willow and breeze for Willowbreeze, some bramble and a berry for Brambleberry, and a flower and rain for Rainflower. There is even a star for Hailstar
And what about oak fur!?
THIS MAP TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL!! I was late to the premiere but gosh all the parts work so well together and the lighting is phenomenal on every part! I am very honored to be a part of this !

This map is really beautiful, it tells his story perfectly, and I love the fall theme!Poor Crookedstar deserved better. He was tormented and manipulated by Mapleshade all throughout his life, but despite that he remained a good and kind cat. What Mapleshade did to him is truly unforgivable.
This was amazing!! I especially love the symbols on the tombstones at the end, since it’s very clear who’s stone belongs to who, and it’s such a great and unique detail!

Can we talk about Mapleshades expressions at 2:38? I can't stop rewatching that scene! It's so perfect. And omg the her expression at 0:50!!!! I can't get over how well the artist depicted her emotions. Love this MAP sm and from what the comments say this creator is amazing!

I don't think i've ever seen a MAP centered SO MUCH through the story! There are only a few MAP's out there that include Crookedstar, but I dont think anyone realizes how IMPORTANT Crookedstar actually is to the story.

OH BOY!! I've been rewatching this for like weeks now and just observing every little detail!! I'm so impressed with how much effort goes into these MAPs and each scene everyone makes as well as the storyboard going along so well with the music!!
I love LOVE how the beginning starts off with Rainflower and giving us a bit of context that she was an absent and abusive mother to Crookedkit as well as the break off between Rainflower and Shellheart.
I also love the design for Brambleberry here and the taste of the sweet relationship she had with Crookedkit and how she acted like a mother to him and a friend even through him becoming a leader
I love how the rocks at the end represent all of the cats that have died that have remained in his heart to always be remembered. They all have their names engraved in a picture-like way on these rocks, it really brings out the essence and sorrow of the story. Nice little detail!
