Thanks for posing this video. it is vary helpful. I have a Kent 2600 Bayside with a SunRun 7 speed derailiur. Itdoesn't have the port hole for the cable to be removed/replaced on thshifter. How is that different? What do I do to get to the cable mount in the shifter? Thanks for any help.
hi, I'm planning to change the shifter from 6 to 7 while maintain the 6speed freewheel. Trying to adjust the high low screw to position it correctly. Do you think this will work?
Hi, thanks for your question, and I apologise for the delayed response. It really depends on your situation. Why are you switching from a 6-speed to a 7-speed shifter? Is it simply because that’s what you have available? It could work, provided the shifter is compatible with your gears. Keep in mind that SRAM and Shimano shifters pull different amounts of cable to move the derailleur. Make sure your shifter matches the type of gears you are using.
