      it not simple theft this was preplanned even the call center was a set up.the post office federation not fit for purpose but took people money for years in subs to be told get a solicitor .it's just like c.a.b. make you wait hours to be given a apointment in 2 weeks time to be told what you already new .giving you false hope and what you get is your time waisted .evey one rich made money and had a part to play to get it.

      They are due to yes, This is why they are being approached for comment (by media) but not engaging.
      They should play the filmed 2015 Commons Select Committee Hearing where Vennels claims there were no problems with Horizon....she is perjuring herself - as CEO she knew the layout of the land (Second Sight Report etc). Her raison d' etre seems to be "protect the good name of The PO"..at all costs.... literally at the expense of hundreds of lives - their finances, home lives, reputations in their communities.
      She will no doubt be being schooled VERY cleverly by an expensive legal team (well she can afford it can't she ?) on how to have selective memory / not recall etc / obfuscate / etc. That said, the Enquiry Legal Team are impressing me in terms of their probing questions.
      I hope The Police are not too far away from that knock on her door.

    It annoys me so much that Post Office still has a voice in all this, and are allowed to "oppose" oppeals. If anyone should be arguing that any appeals should be refused, it should not be an organisation that has lied and cheated and gaslighted and spent millions of taxpayer's money opposing justice. They should be in the dock themselves.

    • @probro9898
      @probro9898 7 месяцев назад +6

      @terryb4547 my replies are going missing again so I'm going to reiterate this one. I have no problem with the notion that perhaps a few of the postmasters are genuinely guilty. What I object to is the Post Office - which has proven to have acted in bad faith - should be pointing the finger at them. The accuser needs to have some claim to a moral highground over the accusee, and right now the Post Office has no moral highground over anyone.

    • @probro9898
      @probro9898 7 месяцев назад +6

      @terryb4547 And another thing: if this was the work of "clever people", they couldn't have been all that clever because they got caught. And it's not even like they were caught by clever investigation. It boiled down to (a) money seemed to go missing, (b) it couldn't be a computer error "cuz Fujitsu", (c) no one else could have taken the money "cuz Fujitsu". Therefore the postmaster must have taken it.

    The more I hear these heart breaking accounts from the PO victims the more disgusted I feel. Those responsible need to be named and shamed, be stripped of any honours, lose their jobs, be made to pay reparations out of their own pockets and serve jail time. Words cannot express how vile both Fujitsu and the Post Office are.

    With so many current and former Post Office employees saying - in response to Inquiry questions - "I don't recall ..." - it begins to sound like they have all been coached to say that. Now where have we heard of that sort of thing going on before ? - Ah yes: "You're the only one who has ever had problems with Horizon ...".

    So the Post Office Northern Ireland were provided with an independent forensic accounting report in December 2004 for a defendant's case, which showed inexplicable serious Horizon computer errors, and this must surely have been distributed within Post Office London HQ - but did not initiate a wide thorough investigation.
    So a 1,000 prosecutions plus 3,000 repaying false shortages continued (and probably the remaining 4,000 postmasters repaying, secretly in fear) for a further 10 years.

    Here is the thing, apart from all the other aspects of this affair the role of Lord Neuberger in the Recusal seems to have escaped attention.
    I have therefore pasted the following ‘The role of Lord Neuberger in the recusal fiasco (Justice Fraser) should be investigated’ on as many RUclips articles as I could, about ten, but when I checked to see if there was any response I discovered they had all been taken down.
    This Kafkaesque episode staggers one at every turn, even when Big brother has been outed he seems to be still working away!
    I really want to know why Lord Neuberger interfered , if the recusal had succeeded the whole noble attempt at taking on the stinking system would have failed
