So professional and straight to the point!! I've been watching your videos for a long long longgggg time and I've seen how far you've come. It makes me a proud supporter of your channel, great job!
when ever i need some tips i go straight to your videos. i am trying to start a business myself. Ever since i started watching ur videos my cakes taste like angels made them
First of all I must say- YOU'RE GORGEOUS! I wanted to tell you that you're one of my favorite youtube channels, you help me so much and I love you and your channel a lot!
I would recommend an off-set spatula, especially if you're just icing the cupcake, and not going for a swirl. The off-set spatula really offers a great angle so that the icing stays neat and smooth. Oh! And if you tend to use a lot of tip when decorating, Wilton has come out with a tip container that will allow you to wash your tips in the dishwasher on the top rack. It was about $10 (U.S.) and works great.
Thanks for sharing! Would you mind giving more information on the specifics of the pan you prefer?! Please & thanks! Absolutely love keeping up with you on your blog & videos, thank you!
Would you ever consider putting together a starter kit for a beginner (amateur) cake decorator? You've listed a lot of things and I wouldn't even know where to begin getting these things. Or if you can put on a list of links to sites where I might be abel to find these things. THANKS! Love your channel!!!!
I think they're more used for art! We used to use them on art trips for water colours so you don't need a pot of water!! Really useful! Definately reccomend! especially for cake work!
Another fabulous video Elise. Thank you I have all my cupcake equipment and I just love them all! So many I have now use a blanket box as my coffee table :) Great for storage and easy to see when I need to find which decorating item I need when doing cakes no matter the size.
Fantastic video Elise, there are so many fantastic cake decorating items you can buy and this video makes that sometimes over whelming visit to cake deco shop much easier. Thx heaps, Wendy
This has been very helpful to me. with myself loving cupcakes and decorating them so simple an cheap and for my friend's that dont know I keep this to myself as I get great feedback on my baking an decorating.
I have recently found the foundation videos. And I love them. The help so much. This has been one of my recent questions is what tools should I next invest in. Thank you Elise :)
I loved how you given this information on how and what we use in our everyday baking. Thanks! I would like to know how would go about making strawberry champagne cupcakes?
This mini series is awesome! Thank you so much! I just got into baking and working on perfecting my work!! You have awesome tips!! Thank you so much!! and I think you look a little like Cameron Diaz!
I am trying to find the circle cutters you have in this video but am only finding the sets with 6-8 circles. Can you please tell me the brand you purchased?
You can buy long metal skewers, normally used to steak chunks on and then grill. I think I got mine at the supermarket. I use these to test for doneness, wash them and use again. You might also look up cooking supply stores for the equipment.
Amazingly informative video! I am just starting out in the cupcake/cake/fondant hobby and find your videos so helpful. I was wondering, what recipe you use to make your cake tiers or giant cupcakes? I've been using store bought mixes such as Betty Crocker or Pillsbury and add a little extra oil for moisture. But my Cakes don't seem strong enough to support each other, and tear easily, especially if I have to carve away the outer portion to reveal the soft inside. Good luck frosting that without it crumbling!! You're cakes just seem so much more dense and sturdy. Also, can you post a video or share how to melt down the Nestle Morsels (I'm in the U.S.) to make something like a giant cupcake patty pan? Thank you so much!
Hi Elise, you can actually buy those cake plungers on Ebay for as little as $1.50 a set. Along with many of the items you've mentioned. The only problem is they usually come from Japan or China and take a while to get to the US. I'm not sure how long it would take to get to where your at. Hope this helps your viewer, Dee
Thank you for this video. I was just wondering what to do if you want to use pretty baking cups and not have them soiled? I usually have to use 2 cups to cover the soiled one but i dont really like to.
i don't really know where bamboo skewers originated from but it's very commonly used in south east asian countries for decades especially with food like satay (that's why we call it the satay sticks) i never knew it for its name bamboo skewers until in recent years when it seems to be getting increasingly used in videos from the western countries.
also are used in spanish cuisine to cook the Pinchos and is what I always use to know if cakes and cupcakes are cooked :) really cheap and each box contains 50
Thank you it was very useful. XD I have the bamboo sticks they are indeed useful and the muffin tray and those fondant cutters (the flower cutter) and the fondant rolling pin
Elise is right in the U.S ziploc bags are thin so I perfer to use parchment paper piping bags there are so many tutoraials on that. U can do those really fine details but sometimes i just perfer to use a small piping tip like the wilton #1#1s#2 those kind of tips
