- 2 Trains Approach Side By Side In A Slow Race, Crews Gives Me A Shout Out As They Cross The Bridge, Engineer Waves From Indiana & Ohio Railway Train Notching Up & Train Runs Into The Twilight. Leaking Tank Car Has Roads Closed. CSX, Norfolk Southern And Indiana & Ohio Railway Trains In Cincinnati, Ohio.
A pressurised tank car full of styrene had a severe bleed off coming out of a valve on top. This caused the area to be evacuated within a half mile of the tank car for two days. It happened in Cleves, Ohio which is about 14 miles west of Cincinnati. The 33,000 gallon tank car was part of a 29 car train on the Central Railroad Of Indiana ( CIND ). I was there on the next day but the evacuation was still going on and I could only get to the locomotive and front of train. I show this and the road closures. I also show a CIND auto racks train that was waiting to pass the area. The leak was over by the time I got there. I had no interest in being near the area during the leak.
After that I went to Canal Ridge at Winton Place to see some trains. We see a CSX train and an Indiana & Ohio Railway train approach at the same time northbound. The I&O train passes first and then the CSX train passes. Notice the old Baltimore And Ohio Railroad signals. They are still in use and if you look closely you will see them go from green to off and the first two trains pass them.
The third train is a CSX southbound local. The crew in the locomotive recognised me and gave me a shout out as they passed! That was pretty cool.
There was a long dry period without any trains and I changed locations to the Krogers about a mile or so north. We see a Norfolk Southern manifest running southbound in the last light of the day. Look how awesome that looks! It got really bright for a few minutes and then after the train passed it got dark very quickly. I have only filmed at this spot a couple of times because it is a high crime area.
Don't miss the Live Action Pets and the slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

I followed the tanker leak on the scanner Tuesday for a few hours. All agencies worked together to get this mess figured out keeping media informed. Hats off to these people and to fire departments for keeping the water flowing keeping the railroad car cool.
We dont see I&O down south but very rarely. Nice to see this train. Thanks for all you do for us fans!
That is so cool when the crews recognize you. Brian is the master of railfanning. It always amazes me how fast they can accelerate pulling that much weight.
I was thinking the same thing. Those engines must be some serious power
Close to 9000 horsepower between those two locos!💪
@@Waynestarr Wow! That is a lot of power!
I like how informative you are in your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
We had another good southbound NS mixed freight! It had 1 load of awesome, very long plate steel! Good catch, JT!@ 😃😃😃❤❤❤.
Cool, thanks!
@@JawTooth You're welcome! 😃😃
Hey JT you're a legend Sir 😊
Hey, thanks!
@@JawTooth Your most welcome JT 😉
I & O to start. Love it. Super CSX and NS. I remember when Canal Ridge was thought to be too dangerous for filming. Good to see Brandi, Loki, and Chessie. Great video JT. ❤
Thank you for another awesome video, my friend! It's always good to see Brandi get in on the live action. I love seeing your cats, too! TTYL 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤

@@michaelhewitt258 Thanks for watching!
Wow this was a awesome video JT Love the opening slow drag race great job Brian.👍👍
An other GREAT VIDEO! Thanks Brian
We had 2 mixed manifests out of the yard. The first was a short I&O followed by a lweong CSX with 2 vintage box cars, among many other cars. Both were good trains. 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
That is a cool location with plenty of action, and those old B&O signals still in use. You’ve become quite a celebrity not just by railfans but by railroaders too, pretty cool. Definitely don’t want to mess with a leaking tanker. Thanks JT!
Another awesome video, JT and man you watch out for the hobo up under the bridge lol. But anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one.
You got that right! I didn't see him this time. One time I stepped in his scat. Lol
That's unusual... two trains inching forward. and CSX wins the race.
Thanks for watching my videos!
Hey, Jaw Tooth, Amtrak ran through Hamilton this morning around 07:30.
So impressive to see that pair of CSX Gevos starting that 118-car train without even sounding like they're working.
@@beeble2003 thanks for watching!
No "What's the hurry?" today for those two trains in tandem!
They don't go very fast at this location. Thanks for watching my videos!
HI Jaw & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Jaw & Friends Randy

You’re the king of filming the trains
I love seeing the car cars carrying cars.
Yo, dawg, I heard you like cars.
Hey Jawtooth that was pretty cool. That one train sure was a long one. That was neat hearing that guy holler your name from that train window! Also love watching your dogs and cat play. Thanks. Take care and have a good one. 👍❤️
Jaw Tooth, it is my wife, Pastor Nancy and my self, 50th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, Sept. 27th. Thanks for awesome video. Have a great weekend, Brian. stay dry, you have remnants of the hurricane coming into your area.

Thank you for the Super Thanks! I will use that for gas and it is definitely appreciated! Thanks for your support Ronald!
Awesome catch of trains, Jawtooth. Thank you. Love the salutes and recognition. Wow, you were right. The coloring during the NS manifest was FANTASTIC-especially the boxcars! You do entertain!

Some serious acceleration from that I&O!
Yes, that was cool!
What a great video? I really enjoy seeing and hearing these vast freight trains starting off, especially a big GE on the point.
Perfect entertainment on a wet Thursday evening.
Much appreciated JT.
Thank you very much!
The great train race of 2024😂😂😂😂😂
That location never disappoints!! Thanks for the vid.
Great action thank you Sir !!
What a fab shot of the slow train race! Awesome footage & sound of the I&O pulling awayI it soon gets some speed up JT. like this location usually the trains pass pretty slow so you can get a good look at them. Cleves looked like a ghost town! Beautiful filming of the last train the light was stunning & fab close up of the train. Be safe out there. ❤😊👍
Nice catches JT! Fantastic video with super nice sunset lighting at the end!

Nice video my birthday was on the 23rd few days before you filmed this video and I love it
You caught all kinds of awesome live action in this video, Brian.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank You Jaw Tooth Kool Trains indeed and Pets too!
Thank you too
I worked in the east end of Cincy in the mid 2000s when a styrene tanker leaked. I was off work for a week. Met with RR peeps at hotel in eastgate, asked me what i thought was a fair $ amount and I jokingly said "six large". He didn't bat an eye, cut me a check right there
Absolutely at your best great shot thank you!!!
Thank you for another action pack railfanning day at Winton Place on 25 September 2024, Jaw Tooth! The opening sequence with the Indiana & Ohio Railroad and the CSX trains was a great way to open this video. Those old Baltimore & Ohio signals are historical relics that should be saved and donated to a railroad museum for preservation when they are replaced. That was a delightful surprise that a crew member on the CSX train that came along at 23:26 recognized you with a shoutout. (Posted 26 September 2024 at 1438 CDT.)
Thanks for your comments Thomas! That is a great place to watch trains. I got some more trains that day to post for part two. Thanks for watching!
Hi JT. I haven’t seen Norfie in your videos recently. Also, I spied a cute little gray tabby in your last video. Time for some pet updates! 😊
UN 1837 is thiophosphoryl chloride. As far as I can tell, it's an ingredient in certain insecticides. It's bad stuff, JT! 😃😃❤❤
Thanks for the info

Good to see CSX locos! I like them!
The evening shots are awesomely!
Glad you like them!
Very cool catches on an amazing video
9:15 The locomotive behind that one (798) led a superfast IM through Jesup, GA as it ran over a Moto X smartphone I placed under that train back in February 17, 2014 - more than 10 years ago! I went over the video at the time and I was thrilled to feel the speed!
Hey Jawtooth I watch your videos all the time. Just wanted to drop a line to let you know my 73rd birthday is Monday Oct 7th 2024. Keep up the good videos.
Happy birthday! I will give you a late shout out lol
The last two cars on the last train looked brand new; the railroad should do an unboxing video! 😆
That would be cool!
Awesome video with a horn salute but wait there’s more to come 👍🇺🇸😎🚂👍
Thanks for watching my videos!
Jaw Tooth, last week I saw a parking lot running train in the 9800 block of Kenwood Road Cincinnati! Just a locomotive and one car but still very cool!
I know exactly where you are talking about. I think it's a law firm with the track crossing right in front of their parking lot and building. I have filmed there a couple of times. It's Indiana & Ohio Railway. thanks for your comments!
Like the side by side footage and the shot of tank car ,alot of ex BNSF power, nice NS manifest!🛤🚂

Nice job catching those trains jaw tooth Keep it up and be safe while you’re Railfanning out there please
Thanks! Will do!
Interesting six-axle trucks on the CSX locos at the beginning of the video. I've never seen them other than on this and other Jaw Tooth videos. I railfan frequently very close to the CSX Barr Yard in suburban Chicago and see big CSX power all the time, but never those type of engines.
Awesome live action
Thanks for watching my videos!
Hey brother I appreciate you not zooming in on me. Glad to see you out there. Be safe man :-)
For sure I won't do that. Good to see you also! Thanks for being awesome and thanks for your comments!

Love the side by side run amtrack in connersville witch I believe is on same rought to indy runs 1 am only caught it once on a emergency no heat call good vidios as usual
I have only got them a few times. I got them in Glendale once, I got them in Maysville, Ky and I got the Amtrak Cardinal in Goshen Virginia. I wish they came by in the light more. I also got them a couple times in Thurmond, West Virginia, I just thought of that one
I did drop my sister off in indy to catch a amtrac they allowed me to escort her to her seat that was fun she would have caught it in connersville but conection in indy going north would have ment a long lay over
Be safe out there driving around looks like u all got some rain finally to
