My name is Dayton and I'm an airsoft sniper from BC Canada. Ever since I started airsoft I've been addicted to the long range game. that's why I play as a sniper. I have some knowledge of CQB and urban play but if you see me out in the field, chances are I'm out there with my tokyo marui vsr10 and mk23.

the handy thing is, because the child becomes the gun, the rules of gun hits then apply to said child and therefore you can use them like a shield that also fires back automatically

I’ve seen kids slay the field and dudes in there 30/40 with no idea what they are doing. Skill is about experience not age and experienced players should always help the newbies so everyone can get better

I remember one time when I was 10, I wanted to go on a ride but I was too young. Since I was too young, the only way I could get on is with an adult. My parents just ate so they couldn't go on. Lucky for me, a nice teenager went on with me. This dude reminds me so much of him.
same experience. except another time, i got scared and they started laughing at me. they even cursed at me. that was when i was really little and the ride was like really high up. so they were just jerks.

Speaking of young kids and airsoft reminds me of something that happened at my local airsoft field. One day there were two young kids that came to play for the first time to celebrate one of the two's birthday. A lot of the regulars of my local field are people who have been playing for 5-10 years, so they really know what they are doing. Pretty much all day long, the staff and the regulars (myself included) were guiding these two kids through how to do certain things, like dialing in the birthday kid's hopup, and how to set their gear up properly to be as efficient as possible (Like showing them how to put their mags in their magazine pouches to where they can easily grab and reload without having to reposition the mag). It was basically just a day of all these experienced guys guiding these two kids through the learning process of airsoft and giving them tips to help them out, it was amazing.

That's beautiful, one side of airsoft: incredibly welcoming sport with an amazing community. And the other side: "He burned my patch." With "flipouts" fights cheaters. I've only been playing for two years but I've never seen someone purposefully cheat. I love the guys that helped me through my first few games.

I took my son out when he turned 10 and he was a ninja out there, I eventually sent him out to go hunt the snipers because he could sneak up on them. He is 14 now and I'm sporting a nice bruise on my shoulder from when he outplayed me when I switched sides

In my country u are not allowed to play under 14. And even then only up to 0,5 joule
In finland the limit is that u need to be 13 or older
I live in the US and I have to be 18+ in the state that I live in. It sucks SOOOOOOO much. I want to play so bad. I dont even think my parents would let me play though because it is pretty dangerous. Almost every other state is like kids 10+ can play so I guess i got unlucky or something idk

Good idea having him as a spotter/support role. He cant go as hard as the adults so its a good starting role for him. Also it was nice seeing you interact with him and making him feel part of the team.

I once played in Hungary and a kid came up to me (i had a ghillie at that time) l. He said nice ghillie and we somehow decided to do a duo throught the whole game. Combined we got 23 kills, out of 200 enemies. Suprisingly he had 10😂❤️❤️

I've only ever played airsoft once. I went to play with some friends of mine and we were the only kids there (we were 15/16 and the rest of the players were 20-30) and i was the only girl so i was nervous that everyone would look down on us, but all the players treated me and my boys with respect and i had a super fun time. at one point i started panicking because i didn't know where to go and this random guy gave me advice on where to camp out and stuff like that. He ended up recommending me to go in a side room and from that position i ended up getting 4 kills in a row (which was more than i ever thought i would get). Everyone there was laughing and joking and it helped calm me down (i get stressed easily). If that one guy helping me out once made my day, then you helping that kid probably made his whole week. Kudos to you dude and keep up the good work.

I'm almost 14 and I'd adore to try Airsoft, but that's simply too expensive for me and there's none in my area. The closest one is 75km away. I live in Croatia
Just an idea: Maybe try an appeal to your town/city/church (whomever has the weight in your community) that the ,local, youth could use the discipline.
Maybe; give a speech. one centered on civic duty and national service. Don't be dishonest. Just "play to the room".

I’m 14 and I play airsoft with my dad every week. We get to spend time together, and have fun. While kids may sometimes be annoying, inexperienced, etc., playing is how they learn. It’s unfair to assume that every kid who plays is gonna be shit. Mad respect to you man for helping that little guy out and treating him good.
