    Thank you, love this idea especially because I won't have a full sheet run from big pieces that unfortunately attached to the other part of the project. Love this idea cuz I can save the scraps for other projects. Thank you again!!

    Becky, you are precious! I have learned so much from your videos. You represent your company so very well, and more importantly (for us😉), you are such a gifted educator. This video is no exception. Wow! Creating these weeding boxes and doing the "subtraction", such a great idea. I am not even halfway through this video and felled compelled to give you a shout-out.
    By the way, after the last video of yours, I bought a couple beautiful bundles from your company. Got to support people like you, so you are motivated to keep making these so very helpful videos. 🤗

    The manual option is neat! Thank you sharing! I do have the business edition (snagged it on sale for $59) but more often than not, the designs I am trying to cut defeat the automatic Weeding Lines option, because there is continuous empty space fur the horizontal or vertical lines to run thru.

    Hi Becky !
    Really cool and right on time for 2 projects designed last night. I have the business edition but I am going to try the offset plus boxes technique to spare as much vinyl as possible.
    By the way, this is so much simpler than the Silhouette 101 video !
    Merci beaucoup !

    This is awesome technique! I use the Cricut Maker and taught making manual boxes around the design within DS. I have the business edition (I purchased to use for designing for my Glowforge) -will this save in an exported file to use with the Cricut?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely! You can save as an SVG just like with Glowforge, then just import into Cricut. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Your so awesome teaching how to do what most of us think is difficult. I been doing the box but nothing like you showed us how to. I for one am going to use the boxes not one around the whole thing. I struggle with one box around the whole thing. Awesome tip love your videos. Question though when using heat printable transfers can you show us a way to keep the letters together? I struggle trying to place them correctly on a tee shirt. ❤️

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 года назад

      Hey Judy! I will add a video on this in the future, but in the meantime you can look for the same transfer "tape" used for Pattern HTV, it's often called Magic Mask or TTD Mask. You can use that masking on printable iron-on sheets to keep your design together. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    Thank you so much for this video!! As a new user with no prior electronic cutting machine, this is by far my favorite channel and go to when I’m stuck. So thank you.
    I’ve got a question though. I’m a Portrait 3 user, and I’ve only got the auto blade. When I try and cut vinyl, it either just strat he’s the surface, and I’ve destroyed the only Holo vinyl I had. Also, I once cut through my vinyl and mat-yikes. Got a new mat though. But what settings should be for which vinyl?
    The auto settings aren’t working. I’ve cut a few names but I guess they were too scripty and it trashed the font. So I just wanna make sure I’ve got my blade, force, & speed set correctly as I’m down to just the bare minimum of vinyl left.
    Thanks again! ~Alli

    first and foremost thank you so much for the videos my wife loves them,
    i just recently purchased the cameo 4 plus, now when i upload my image, i set it to cut, but when i hit send i get a message saying my cut lines are overlapping? 2nd. question how do i prevent my blade from cutting on mat? i measured my vinyl on the mat and entered the measurements on my silhouette, however my blade is still cutting outside the cut area and not staying on the vinyl. what am i doing wrong....my family really appreciates your content very motivational and educational..

    Thank you for the video. Quick question. I just tried method. I was doing a two-color design. I tried using fill and stroke colors to separate when I used the subtract everything, I lose the cut be fill or stroke. Is there something I'm missing, or once it's subtracted that's it? Thank you!

    I got my cameo 4 for Christmas (have had the 2 for a few years). I opened it in March and all was good.
    The last few times when I cut and have weeding lines the weeding lines default to 33 and cut all the way through my adhesive vinyl. The only way I can change it is if I use the line cut and need to change everything.
    Is there a way to change the default of the weed lines when you use simple cut.
    Thanks

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  3 года назад

      Hmmm, I have not encountered this yet Donna. The weed lines should cut the same as other lines and be able to adjust the settings in the Send panel. Hope this helps! ---Becky

      In order for it to stop making boxes you need to click on the arrow in the top left and that will get you back to being able to just click.

      Hey Sharriff, make sure your design is grouped as one piece, and the boxes are grouped as another piece. If the design is separate, then Silhouette Studio can do weird things like this. Hope this helps! ---Becky
