    I have learned so much watching your videos, I never used half of these buttons because I didn’t know how to use them. I’ve had my cameo 4 for about 4 yrs lol thank you for showing all these learning tools and how to use them I’m following your videos for sure

    Thank you for your explanation. Very useful. I wish my silhouette studio was as quick to respond as yours. Mine takes ages and is very sensitive. It always seems to want to do point editing when I haven't actually clicked on it.

    Great video, I'm excited to learn each of these features so I can start designing my own cut files. Thanks Brenda.

    hello can you use the modify panel in the basic edition?

  • @studioplanetesilhouette
    @studioplanetesilhouette 4 месяца назад

    So well explained and in a different manner than I do, so pretty interesting… However the Detach line feature apart from separating is a form of duplication. Why would one use it for really ? Your feedback would be interesting to hear… thanks again Brenda ! 😊

      There is so little information out on this feature. It does not seem very useful, but it does leave you with 2 parts. Once the lines are detached, the original fill will not be cut - no red lines in the Send tab. The cut lines can be filled again with a different color. It could be useful for creating overlays that will only have one cut line? Now I'm brainstorming. LOL

      @@silhouettesuccess LOL ! Actually the only explanation I have on this feature is to have the contour without making a duplicate ans deleting the extra cut lines... Once the lines are detached, you can still use your original and activate the cut or cut contour... Laybe it's quicker when you have the panel open to use it while using the other tools in this panel...

    Very helpful. One question. When you made your arc, you had 2 adjustment sliders that you used to make the narrow arc that became the stem. I only see one on my screen so I end up with a single curved line. I am running latest version of Designer Edition. Hope you know what I'm talking about!

    • @silhouettesuccess
      @silhouettesuccess  Год назад +1

      This one made me think a bit. 😅 I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that you are using the line tool. I pulled the arc from flexi-shapes. That tool is available in Designer+, and the tab is under the drawing tools where you'd find your rectangles and ellipse shapes.

    May I inquire about how you earned the degree or certificate as a Silhouette teacher tutor? I’m binging on ALL your videos 👍

    This was great, but I have a question. I've had my portrait 3 over a year now, and I've never had the "flexi-shapes" button. I think that's what you called it. Did they remove it?

    • @silhouettesuccess
      @silhouettesuccess  2 месяца назад

      It is not a basic edition feature. You'll need to upgrade to Designer Edition+ or higher to access them.

    So what’s the difference between crop and intersect? They both take away whatever isn’t overlapping, no?

    • @silhouettesuccess
      @silhouettesuccess  5 месяцев назад +2

      There is a difference when you are working with more than 2 elements that are overlapping.

    Please please please slow down when choosing functions as it's impossible to learn where to find each function at your professional speed. Also can you explain what "release compound path " means? Thank you.

    • @silhouettesuccess
      @silhouettesuccess  4 месяца назад

      This was an older video. I think I have gotten a little bit better at that lately, and I now add arrows to most of my videos. Release compound path separates parts of an element. For instance, if you are working with a donut and release the compound path, you would have 2 independent circles.
      Would you mind picking a more recent video for me and letting me know if it's any better? I appreciate the feedback.

      I like to watch on my phone and have the software open on the computer. I always have to pause the video, work a bit, then watch the next part of the video. The most important thing to remember is that if something doesn't go right, you can use the undo button to go back and start over.
