Then he says that in the past he cried when these girl would leave him but this time when Valerie left him and in the future he won't cry.. He is cold to women. And then after the french intro The Weeknd says that he wanted Valerie for so long and that she could have gotten more from him. Now he goes on to tell her that there were so many ways this could have gone and there are still tons of ways it can go. Now in the line he says he feels horrible about the whole thing and that he always feels horrible when he doesn't have a girl at home and she could have it all back and be his "lonely star" (reference to what he said in the song lonely star). @@trpbsh actually quite decent indeed. Just like most singers singing in foreign languages. They're all sounding good but when you get them out of the studio they're shitty and for some like Mika which is supposedly fluent in french and so on, barely can talk smoothly at all to begin with. And struggles to find its words altogether. Most singers are mimicking in those moments and when they have to replicate it on live or on-the-go they cannot do it or do it poorly, they're just usually being taught on the go during the recording sessions. But in the weeknd's case I do feel like he could actually keep his accent decent fine. But I did saw some singers like Vitas or stuff like this singing in foreign languages like mandarin chinese and having perfect accents yet being unable to replicate it on live. Or just bein able to say a word at all or explain the said word meaning.

i’ve always kinda known the weeknd but this year during quarantine i really got into his music and started listening to his old songs and i’m like so obsessed with him there’s like not a song that i don’t know like even the unrealeased i love every single album he has ever put out specially triology and mdm and his most recent after hours, Abel creates art and even do i haven’t been a fan since the beginning i’m so proud of everything he as achieved and how far he has gotten and i’m so happy that i started listening to his music and that i can now be part of his fandom i personally love this song and i think it’s very underrated.

@@trpbsh actually quite decent indeed. Just like most singers singing in foreign languages. They're all sounding good but when you get them out of the studio they're shitty and for some like Mika which is supposedly fluent in french and so on, barely can talk smoothly at all to begin with. And struggles to find its words altogether.
Most singers are mimicking in those moments and when they have to replicate it on live or on-the-go they cannot do it or do it poorly, they're just usually being taught on the go during the recording sessions. But in the weeknd's case I do feel like he could actually keep his accent decent fine. But I did saw some singers like Vitas or stuff like this singing in foreign languages like mandarin chinese and having perfect accents yet being unable to replicate it on live. Or just bein able to say a word at all or explain the said word meaning.
