She released fancy and work for her non-listeners so they could start to know who she is, but the rest of her album was very much her style. So we should have the same expectations for Abel. These songs he are releasing right now are for the hype, but I'm sure the album is gonna be the shit. You can't just lose genius like that imo.
I feel ya, but like I said, a song here and there with the vibe of "Thursday" or "The Zone" or even "High for This" would be amazing. And he used to do cover songs (Trust Issues and "Dirty Diana), but that stopped. Personally, I didn't feel KissLand like that, but that's because I was really saturated in his 3 mix tapes that I walked into KissLand with high expectations that it'll incorporate styles from it, and I was disappointed. I mean, I'm sure his sophomore album will be great! But I'm sure his fans wouldn't mind another collaboration with Drake that either: is on par with " The Zone" or reminds us of that, via the vibe. Because honestly, "Live For" wasn't that great, but it was dope. Don't get me wrong, "Often" and "King of the Fall" are great songs, I love the tempo, but you should never stay "So Far Gone" from your roots of what made you "The Weeknd". You know?

I have only known about the Weeknd since he became more famous, his first song I heard was Wicked games and then never thought about him again until I heard him on the Ariana Grande song. I checked out Starboy and honestly not a fan really. I like Secrets & Die for You. thats about it...then I found Trilogy and I'm in love. so I don't think its about being used to his old songs....I think they just had a lot more substance. It just sounds so much more emotional and the lyrics are so much deeper...and the long ass intros and outros. just magical.

you gotta understand that he's putting out all his hype songs to appeal to his new listeners. EVERY artist does that. They release their hype songs first and release the whole rest of the album which is usually bomb. Like (bad example) iggy azalea. She released fancy and work for her non-listeners so they could start to know who she is, but the rest of her album was very much her style. So we should have the same expectations for Abel. These songs he are releasing right now are for the hype, but I'm sure the album is gonna be the shit. You can't just lose genius like that imo.
I feel ya, but like I said, a song here and there with the vibe of "Thursday" or "The Zone" or even "High for This" would be amazing. And he used to do cover songs (Trust Issues and "Dirty Diana), but that stopped. Personally, I didn't feel KissLand like that, but that's because I was really saturated in his 3 mix tapes that I walked into KissLand with high expectations that it'll incorporate styles from it, and I was disappointed. I mean, I'm sure his sophomore album will be great! But I'm sure his fans wouldn't mind another collaboration with Drake that either: is on par with " The Zone" or reminds us of that, via the vibe. Because honestly, "Live For" wasn't that great, but it was dope. Don't get me wrong, "Often" and "King of the Fall" are great songs, I love the tempo, but you should never stay "So Far Gone" from your roots of what made you "The Weeknd". You know?

The song was taking over our body, the mixture of high and weeknd ratio was immaculate.. we start touching, slowly making out and taking things to new heights. Its getting hot. We do another line.. things are getting intense. We take it to the back seat, we start taking eachothers clothes off and start making mad love. the feeling was out of this world, my body was taken to new heights.. things were much simpler back then, why does time have to go by so fast?

I have only known about the Weeknd since he became more famous, his first song I heard was Wicked games and then never thought about him again until I heard him on the Ariana Grande song. I checked out Starboy and honestly not a fan really. I like Secrets & Die for You. thats about it...then I found Trilogy and I'm in love. so I don't think its about being used to his old songs....I think they just had a lot more substance. It just sounds so much more emotional and the lyrics are so much deeper...and the long ass intros and outros. just magical.
Used to listen to him when I was 13 not really the understanding the meaning behind the songs but his voice was that made me comeback, and now everything in his music makes sense since I grown up.
