This man is not just a great musician, he is an artist. The first part of this song is about someone who has ruined their lives partying, taking drugs, etc. Then the second part, connected by the line “if they don’t let you in, you know where to find me”, details this same broken individual taking refuge and slipping back into her old habits after the cold reality illustrated by the first part. Thus contenting the cycle.

I remember getting really into him when I was junior in hs in 2014 . None of my friends cared for his music so It was like I created my own fantasy world listening to his jams. No alcohol or drugs involved, it was the music itself that made me feel high like I was floating and depressed but oh I fuckin loved it! N I was comforted to see other ppl on RUclips commenting the same things I was feeling...Man time flies. Nostalgia to the max.

I used to listen to this all the time in 2012, one of my favourite songs. I've just got back into The Weeknd. Starting with his newer stuff which I love, the direction he's taking his music is incredible but it doesn't compare to this, Thursday HOB and Echoes of Silence are on another level. There's an incredible atmosphere on his older stuff
