Welcome to the adware extravaganza! Today I am going to show you how bad you can infect your computer with ads online. I click on everything I see, everything from fake Flash Player installers up to Among Us generators, trying to get my computer infected. And I did get it infested with malware! Watch how much worse it has become in the video.
Send all the malicious ad-filled websites you find to projects@enderman.ch with the "Adware submission" subject line (without quotes). I'll pick the best ones and shout your name out in my future follow-up video! I will check every submission, please no MEMZ or any malware NOT FROM ADS.

7 year old me trying to download the entire Minecraft lore on my parents computer downstairs
Once I was 7 and i was like hey free Minecraft looked it up but saw videos on fake free Minecraft I was sad lol but at least I didn't get a virus and I have Minecraft now

I find it interesting how some of the malware had ads for advast and Norton in the installer. It's like it's a warning.
Like one Videogame develovper youtuber named Guixu said, its like a robber caling the police and another municipal service like Civil Guard that he is stealing.

I'm convinced this poor machine was begging for mercy from as early on as five minutes in. I would've liked to see the Task Manager's Performance tab on the side, as you worked through all this.

My little brother comes to me with every single thing he wants to do. Even games, I have to stay next to him and tell him what to press literally.
I keep my computer an arch linux for 2 reasons:
1: All packages come from either the AUR or the official repos,
2: Noone can figure out how to use my dwm setup

I remember getting these 7-zip installers over and over when I was trying to find some obscure program and I'm pretty sure they are malicious, according to virustotal at least.
He didn't get 7zip he got winzip (winrar and 7zip in one bc ppl are fighting whats better) why not have both
I have 7zip (my laptop came with winrar but the free version expired and i downloaded 7zip whilst downloading BTD6 preinstalled from steamunlocked)
i just use cloudconvert to turn .rar files and .7zip files into a usable zip

You know what would be interesting for a next episode? Trying to clean that machine out of all viruses, using minimal help from other programs, just come classic uninstalling. Special programs would come only if they are needed

I legit accidentally downloaded that specific installer one time on a super old computer that's completely dead now about 4-5 years back (no, the installer didn't kill it. It died sometime in 2020)
I actually had gotten the installer from a fake Adobe download page from an ad, and the file had a different name. But I remember that being the installer.
What did I learn? Don't click on random stuff.
Did I gain anything from my stupidity? Yes, I now use an adblocker because the incident made me terrified of clicking on even legitimate ads for 3 years straight. Doesn't help that Adfly increased that by 6 months after adfly showed me a fake virus warning.
Moral of the story, ladies, gentlemen, and nonbinary frogs: stay away from link shorteners and internet ads.
Edit: I forgot to mention that at the time, I didn't know what an adblocker was, was using Internet Explorer, and not to mention that after I installed the first one, I proceeded to install two more. This had made the laptop an absolute nightmare to clean. I will say though that considering how young I was, I did a pretty good job with cleaning it up, especially with having very little tech knowledge. Since then, I have learned how to be safe online and have since learned how to spot obvious scams.

The google toolbar that you had I actually found on an old lenovo laptop i got. it was used and that thing was the issue on why it took so long to start and let me use the computer even with only the classic theme (it was running windows 7)
I find it interesting that outside of advertising platforms, a lot of websites were still serving you pages in Russian despite your Google Chrome settings being set to request pages in English, so it must be that those websites check the IP address instead of the Web browser 'accept language' headers.
