The environments look nice and stylistic, but what happened with the rest? The character animation looks like it was made 10 years ago. Avatar is getting a renaissance, don't waste it with half-baked products.
Im really upset out the outcome of the graphics and animation, its been development for how long? They hyped it up talking about "Breath of the Wild", I understand their games never did good but this was their chance to show that they CAN compete with other companies while this hype is still here. Its not money is a problem since ATLA as a series is huge, I just hope they were cheap on the game mainly because the actual shows and movies in development take A LOT of money and the animation/ effects will be CRISP.
the most amazing part of Atla for me was the bending. It felt so ingrained with the world and so grounded. As a kid i always fantasized about bending elements myself. Games come pretty close to that. An avatar game has so much potential, but all we've been getting is some soulless mobile games and now a soulless rpg game.
We need a battle Royale that combines the skill tree of Avatar Legends of the Arena (the old Nick Arcade MMO) And the gameplay of My Hero academia rumble

I'm skeptical because I've seen lots of ambitious fan projects before and majority of them got cancelled even after months (years) of active development. This guy's work is impressive so far, that I cannot disagree with, but as far as I know he works mostly, if not only, on maps, characters and animation which is ance again an amazing work, but not enough to make a good game in my opinion. Plus, he also had some problems with getting his yt account hacked and the Dreams itself (if I remember correctly with it's limitations and Dev's decision on abandoning it's support/updates) Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be wrong on this one, but I'm not a man of faith.

I remember years ago there was an Avatar RPG that let you create your own bending character (either water/earth bender) where you basically went around and fought creatures and the fire nation. Imo an open world avatar game set during the outbreak of the 100 year war would be amazing (edit: name of the game was called Avatar Autumn Twilight)
The problem that I see coming, that I don’t know can fixed is the avatar state, once you get control of it, the difficulty of the game will no longer exist

As for the hypothetical game that I was talking about, imo the characters wouldn’t be avatars, just regular benders.
I hope in a few years we get a avater game like a mixture of hogwarts and genshin Open world, pick your element, missions, looting, customize character, co-op, story based. U learn a new sub bending technique the high level the character, and best of all clean graphics. 😞

I'm just gonna let this slide under the radar. I checked up the game studio (Bamtang Games) and it looks like a classic case of mediocrity and tied to popular IPs. On steam they have 4 games, all of which are from the same franchise, tied to Nickelodeon: Spongebob kart racing games. Their homepage isn't showing much promise either. You can keep this under the radar, but I'll show no interest in it after what I've seen from Bamtang Games

I think the developers probably know what to do, the different shots showing how they are telling the story looks very well balanced, smooth and unique. I agree that tophs movement is lacking a bit Roblox alike😅but non the less it looks very promising and I legitimately can’t!!!
I think it’d be cool if u could play through it normally with the potential what if scenarios and then after beating the game you could enable a setting to where u can play on a new save file and play it normally as everything actually happened in the show.

You're thinking of games that were made back in the day. Nowadays, I doubt some developers even think of rewarding players for playing through the game. It's rare for you to see a game that does stuff like that now, and it's mostly just indie games. This Avatar game isn't, most likely Nick is gonna have the final say in most stuff.

The whole frame narrative could be interesting if they handle it right, like the White Lotus assume that the main characters did one thing that is technically correct like Katara infiltrating the Earthbender prison involved her actually sneaking aboard Solid-Snake style, or Bumi intentionally misleading the other two by claiming he had Aang fight an entire army of Earthbenders when he came to Omashu. It would be like in Gears of War Judgement where you could choose additional challenge that changed the type of enemy or weapons you used, like Iroh wondering aloud about him teaching Aang instead of Zuko which makes Aang's firebending training totally different (and probably involving tea.) Seriously, if I can think these up, surely the developers can, right?

To me Dragon Ball Z Kakarot's graphics and animations are like the minimum I expect out of a proper modern anime like game (Yes, ATLA isn't technically anime or whatever) and this falls short by a lot. This unfortunately looks like an early build of a game that still needs at least a year to develop.
I legitimately would rather go play the old PS2 games than this, based off this trailer. Those were great for the time, and this definitely looks worse than those. The Co-Op & ability to play through the entire storyline is cool, but honestly doesn't look worth it.

This game isn't coming out until November. You can almost guarantee that Aang's animations give a good idea of what the other character animations will likely be like in the final product. Not to mention we have no idea how old this trailer is. They have been working on this game for a few years now and this trailer could be outdated.
Also, the "what if" sort of thing... What if this ends up like that Samurai Jack game where you can play through Jack's story, but make choices that actually change how things play out? That would be awesome. I have nothing but optimism for this. I think Nick understands just how big a deal this IP is and are throwing a lot of money in on this one. People saw some jank animations in some probably outdated footage and hardly any gameplay and are already dismissing it as if video games are entirely about the quality of the animations.

That's why I say THANK GOD this game isn't open world. I can guarantee you that if it was it would come out just like your typical Bethesda game. A big, glitch infested dumpster fire. This game isn't coming out until November. You can almost guarantee that Aang's animations give a good idea of what the other character animations will likely be like in the final product.
Not to mention we have no idea how old this trailer is. They have been working on this game for a few years now and this trailer could be outdated.
Also, the "what if" sort of thing... What if this ends up like that Samurai Jack game where you can play through Jack's story, but make choices that actually change how things play out? That would be awesome.
I have nothing but optimism for this. I think Nick understands just how big a deal this IP is and are throwing a lot of money in on this one. People saw some jank animations in some probably outdated footage and hardly any gameplay and are already dismissing it as if video games are entirely about the quality of the animations.
Character animations are cool. But some anjmations are missing.

I get we don't know how old the trailer is, but this was your introduction. This is what is supposed to make people interested in your product. If you choose to put out a half baked trailer, a half baked response should be expected.
@@YoungProfessorUtonium Except it looks literally fine. There's a lot of stuff in there that looks good. Look at Aang's fighting animations. He looks like he's going to play like Korra in that game Platinum made. That's great. But no, everyone's too busy focusing on a couple of unfinished animations and going full judgement based on almost zero gameplay.
Not to mention all the people who are upset that this isn't just Breath of the Wild for the 3rd time. BOTW was made by Nintendo, a company known for having what people call Nintendo polish. TOTK got delayed for an entire year just so they could tweak the physics.
You know who doesn't have that kind of touch? Literally any other company. That's why I say THANK GOD this game isn't open world. I can guarantee you that if it was it would come out just like your typical Bethesda game. A big, glitch infested dumpster fire.
The real problem this game is facing is people having way too much expectation out of Nickelodeon and throwing a piss fit if it is anything less than the Citizen Kane of video games.
