Thanks for your video. I like the fact that you go through all your images, its honest and provides insight into the cameras shortcomings as well as the benefits. I found puffins really fast moving on Skomar S.Wales. Using an R5 quite a lot of mine dropped focus when background rocks distracted the AF. I switched to an Olympus and set the focus range short of the ocean below (its programmable on olympus) This helped keep the rocks and water from distracting the AF. The results were too high iso to work well. Once again thanks for a great demo that has genuine honesty.
Super recording and material! Thank you for the review of the R5 Mark II. The R5 Mark II is already on its way to me. I am mainly afraid of the ventilation holes when taking pictures in the forest, meadows, on the beach, etc. (small bugs, midges, sand, dust and other dirt). What can you say about it? What is your opinion? Nikon Z9/Z8 and Sony A1/A7xxx / A9xxx do not have such holes. These holes seem to be isolated from the electronics. However, I am wondering about cleaning it, e.g. removing dust particles, small flies, dirt, etc.
I think part of the problems you were having with the focus may come from your depth of field. If you had a lower f number, say 11 or so, the camera wouldnt have even been attempting to focus on the rocks in the bsckground. It also seemed like your focus problems only occurred when there were moving elements in the rocks such as a whirlpool or crashing waves, and with your DoF so wide, the camera got confused. Great video, I feel like i learned alot from it
I’m curious would you put the R5 mk2 over the R3 for your work?? I’m on the fence upgrading from a 5Dmk4. I was leaning towards the R3 bc my work can’t have any rolling shutter. But maybe the R5 mk2 is fine?
Thank you for this video! I have been shooting birds for 5 days now on the R5m2. I found your video very interesting, mind-blowing birds by the way! In the Netherlands we don't have birds moving that fast, I think, but of course there are many small birds here as well. Had no problems with smaller birds here.. but I changed my settings of tracking etc to -1 and +1 to find out birds in flight is better in this setting for me..
Really enjoyed the video seeing all of the shots that worked and the ones that didn't. It's nice to see the results before culling and editing to see the noise and focus. Low light is a fact of life on Prince of Wales, along with busy backgrounds. Thank You

Incredible man! Photographing puffins is so much harder than most people would think. They’re fast buggers when they want to be
Thank you!!

For a moment i thought the camera was mounted on a drone or smth.
very good video anyway!

Thanks for sharing. Do you mind sharing what your focus settings were for these shots? I am curious
I am new to this camera and have the Sigma 150-600 contemporary. I am hoping to get some birds in flight to see how it works. Great video.
I started out with that lens, it did very well for me when I used it
This is awesome bro.
Thank you!!

Man your photos are just BAD! You need to study how to shot wildlife but no new camera!
Hahaha and there it is
