A fine effort. Even the seatbelts. I recall specifically that it didn't come with seatbelts. I made this in 1993 - yes, the 1:12. I lent it to the model shop, where I'd bought the kitset from. Someone stole it within a couple of weeks, and I never saw it again. I don't know why I'm watching this. It brings back sad memories.
I have 2 of these kits that I found in a computer place several years ago for about 40 bucks each! Cant wait to build them now after this video. You did an amazing job with all the extra detail.
I made one of these in '92, in our country's police car colors - complete with red-and-blue lights on top. The local model shop put it on display. The next time I went in, it wasn't on display any more. The reason? Someone had opened the cabinet and nicked it. Bugger.....
Very nice ive a 124 scale one and couple other builds on work table at the moment this turned out beautiful great job👍 im just after subscribeing to ye keep up the good work,, Keith 👍
@@jasonmaiden5026 I got my kits in the 80s !!.. managed to do the engine and started the interior even using beige cloth for carpet...then stopped doing it...
I always wanted one in the 80's but didn't get one until the late 90's when I found one in a discount catalog. Was too intimidated to start it though! Found another on Ebay & figured since I had a spare that I'd build one. So far I've built 2 & have several unbuilt kits. A couple in pristine boxes. Love these kits but they do take a lot of time to build so I haven't started a third yet.

Lovely, particularly like the attention to detail in the engine bay... I've just started building my kit. Have only had it for 20 years!
Thanks! I did add a few extra details
Along with Otaki's BMW 3.O CSL, the finest 1/12 scale kits I've ever built.
Wow, such amazing details and paint finish! It's fantastic! Great work!
Doug Napoltes Thank you! It was quite a big project!

They are great kits but they do require a lot of patience!

@@jasonmaiden5026 I remember at the time the kit cost £45 😁
@@PompeyMatt17 if I remember correctly, they were advertised for $150 but I was just a kid at the time. I paid $50 for my first one!
How did you give the model that texture look on the dash and under body of the car. Also where you get the carpet for the car
I used textured paint. On the dash I sanded it down to the finish I was going for. The carpet is flocked with a blend of different colors.
Omg Jason what this is cam
