Took like 20 minutes to wrap my head around the rhythm of the first verse, your vid helped a lot thank you. And Hetfield can play this while singing? Damn
It's crazy how I can play the "complicated" Metallica songs but the timing on this one has always messed me up. Appreciate this so much. Amazing song & amazing job 🤘🏼
Thanks for this! I appreciate you figuring out all the separate parts. I wish Metallica still did this, with Hetfield's guitar in the left speaker, Hammett's on the right. It makes listening with good headphones worthwhile, just to hear the different harmonies.
a year ago i tried to do a full detailled cover of this song i didn't have the resources was basing myself on what i was hearing and im happy to see that i was close this was a great video in all aspects, editing, guitar playing and documentation wise youre a great player and musician cheers
Hot damn, I always knew this song was fairly complex guitar-wise, but this tab really showed me how bizarre it got. Not to mention I had no idea about the variation in the 2nd verse.
The last part, the "descending-ascending" /10 12 8 10 ... part's rhythm is from hell, I am always late. I guess the Db is coming before the first beat and maybe the Eb is on the kick, but my brain always wants to put the Db on the kick.
Could be, It sounds more like a modified version of the main riff to me, as opposed to just a straight reversed version, but you got me curious so I'll try checking It out in editing when I have the time this weekend!
@@Fernus8 it's difficult to hear it but if you zone into the guitars behind the wah wah track you can hear it (in reverse), although it is difficult to tell it sounds off beat and the low track sounds behind the high track.
@@SideGateStudios Yeah, the off beat part is what makes me think It could be a very similar but not 100% equal reversed take. It could also be kinda sped up, but I'll have to check that later.
Right on time, I've been binging this amazing song recently. The lyrics are insanely dark and personal and I cry every time I listen to it
The lyrics are a highlight in this song for sure.
Glad I could help!
I rate Fixxxer as one of Metallica's most underrated songs

The art of your hands appears to be have sent from heaven, my dear son.

Cool, the best video of fixxer!
Why am I even watching this since I can't play guitar?...But it's awesome
Please learn it. You'll be happy with your decision
This is awesome. Not a guitar player but all the craziness in this song intrigued me. Which guitar is doing that little strum in the chorus?
Very good job
I’m gonna do an updated cover of this song with all the guitar parts in April
The verse rhytm feels kind of... weird. Like even with tabs I can't quite figure it out. Amazing song though and love playing the main riffs!
You should do a full carpe diem cover with solo. 👍
Amazing job man, thanks!

Good work
nice.....
So I think the intro is actually the main rhythm riff in reverse (like blackened) and not actually played how we think it is.

@@Fernus8 It is absolutely sped up. I started fiddeling around with the idea in pro tools in attempt to recreate it. I should revise it....
