- "I hate to say I told you so." Usually, we're lying when we say that. In this case, though, it's true. Craig has been predicting a massive price hike for Disney+ since it first launched, and now that day is here. And it's not just Disney+, but Hulu and ESPN+ as well. The least they could do, if they're raising prices on all these services, would be to at least keep it simple, right? Well, that's not happening either. So Craig will break down everything that's happening and when.
0:00 - I told you so!
0:43 - Disney+ price increase
1:40 - Hulu price increase
2:16 - ESPN+ price increase
2:33 - Disney Bundle price increase

If customers are paying for the content there should be no ads whatsoever.
No desire to subscribe to Disney+ and no longer on subscribing to Hulu. We’re done with Disney!
Same. I stopped giving disney money.
Whats wrong?
I guess that means, no abc or espn as well?
All right later mate
what's wrong with Disney+? is it bad?
Canceling all when my subscription is about to renew. :(
me2. just did
I recently just made a lot of changes in my budget with these companies that are raising prices leaving one wireless carrier for raising their taxes to join another with a locked in rate which comes with free Netflix. I dumped my Disney account because I’m not going to pay more it’s not worth it. I also dumped Hulu because it’s not worth it and I just don’t watch it anymore. You raise your prices on me the odds are I’m gonna dump you.
🤨 💭
Hmmm Oooh lord🤦♂️!…
Sometimes you have to think those PIRATES🏴☠️of streaming.
ESG, Biden administrations & Disney can count on LGBTQ+ to fulfill those seats with inflatable price tags…
No need for Disney or ESPN. As for HULU - I can afford the increase but not sure if I want to just be a compliant viewer. I might pause the service .
I would love to hear their reasoning on no annual pricing option for the with ads plan doesn’t seem like a smart choice when your trying to introduce a new ad supported tier.
They don't need to give a reasoning, they already said the sheep will pay - not this sheep.
Seems like Hulu just raised their price, now again? Goodbye Hulu.
I couldn’t imagine Disney+ with ads still have no idea what plan to pick 😶
Tesla The good thing is that they’ll have fewer ads than Hulu. Because is going to be 4 minutes per hour. Is the same amount as HBO Max.
it is time to rethink about streaming. Eventually there will be no option to remove ads and we will have to get stuck with then like with cable and local TV channels.
How many more increases have to happen before CATV is a viable option again?
Ready to drop Hulu to an "add as needed" service. My son gets Disney + and I have no interest in ESPN+. Ready to drop HBO Max into this category too. Too much money for us.
Yeah I’m not getting any of these unless there’s a Black Friday Hulu sale like usual
This is upsetting news that my Hulu and Disney Plus are going up. 😒 (I got them both as a bundle)
I'm an adult with adult children....so I won't be watching D+. I had canceled Hulu months ago and don't miss it.
I've been a Hulu (ad-supported) subscriber for the longest time now. I remember when it used to cost $7.99/month before going down to $5.99/month, and then last year it went up to $6.99/month. And just as I thought, the price is going back to where it was ($7.99/month).
I was hoping you’d discuss the bundles with Hulu + Live TV, which is what I currently have now, with Disney+ and ESPN+.
I'm on the ad-free package but it seems like they've added ads back in... with that, and the price increase coming, I'm going to DirecTV stream on their introductory deal. I'm done with Hulu, it will be either DirecTV Stream if they keep offering me deals every time I try to cancel, or RUclips TV (until they raise their prices, of course).
If Disney is going to have ads on their streaming services, why don't they do the inevitable "free with ads"/AVOD route?
I work for Hulu I definitely understand you guys frustration about it everything is increasing
Hulu better figure out there is major FREE competition (Pluto, Roku, Tubi, FreeVee, etc). They aren't the only game in town and not necessarily the most desirable compared to the free services.
All I see is piracy going to increase. Once people get used to the sailing the seas it's going to get harder to get them back.
@@SandySivits plex also has free live TV with free on demand movies and TV and asain crush and retrocrush also the same.
I have cancelled because I can’t spend one penny on anything that features Kardashians.
I'm curious how this is going to affect the Hulu with live tv service.
It includes the bundle, so do you have any idea about how this price change is going to affect the Hulu with live tv packages?
Please get your spies on that as soon as you can. 😉
I have the bundle through Verizon..so I will see how long the prices remain the same.
I plan on watching Disney stuff now and getting rid of it before the price increase. I don’t really watch Hulu so it’s going too. Everybody can’t all raise their prices when inflation is killing us. Interesting to see the fallout later on.
I just rotate subscription services throughout the year when there is stuff I want to watch on them. Disney, HBO, Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Starz, Showtime, Apple etc.
I second the question as to what is happening on the Hulu Live side for pricing. Can you educate us on that as well please??!!
My plan for Disney + yearly subscription ends next month. I'm going to renew it next month. Will I have the same plan now? Or will it be the new one with ad's?
Welp looks like I'm saying goodbye to hulu
I have no tolerance for ads and no tolerance for greed! Therefore I will only be using free streaming services. Finding a way to record shows and skip ads.
Thanks for all the pricing updates. I am pretty much doing what you said at the end of this video.
I dont have HULU right now, was thinking about it.
I will never get ESPN+.
I do have Disney+ annual with no ads paying yearly.
I do have HBOMax which they are soon doing a merger with Discovery+ - pricing unknown.
I also have Netflix no Ads - which I think they are doing changes.
Crazy year for streaming prices - soon we "streamers" will be back to cable pricings.
Haven't paid any attention to Cable TV - but are their prices also going up?????
Their prices always go up. You'll find no relief there.
I have the bundle but do not need ESPN so can I get Hulu and Disney only?
I have the Disney+ Annual with no ads since Disney+ started and wish to keep it that way. Like you I have no patience for them.
Good information
I have Discovery Plus and am not excited about being forced to make any changes to a channel such as HBO. I am not always thrilled with how little is actually offered by Discovery Plus but I don’t want to pay cable prices either. One way or another, it appears if want entertainment, you’ll pay too $$ for it whether you love the content or not.
I have Hulu live also so it looks like there is no price increase. But will see what happens
I hope Verizon will still pay the bundle price for me.
Great video everything proven vhs tapes don't stop playing at all like internet does in time
This was a great update, thank you so much. As for me I've been with Hulu since 2017 and the ads are sort of annoying, but tolerable. I was thinking about dropping them though because no one in the family really watches it that often anymore. As soon as I saw that they were increasing the price, I said they must go, but then they brought a really good new show on. I realize that I do like having access to the shows that I can't see on live TV like on NBC and stuff. But my heart hurts about what you just told me for Disney Plus I enjoy having them and I pay annually I can't believe they're going to put ads in, they're one of the biggest businesses around there's no way they need to have ads to pay any bills in my opinion. Anyway I'm really pleased with Disney+ so it looks like I'll be paying the increased price.🤷🏾♀️
Believe it.
I have the Disney plus Hulu no ads and ESPN bundle now and seems the price won't increase. Don't need Disney plus but my grandkids sometimes watch it.
i really wish they had a disney+ & hulu w/o ads option
When this sh*t starts to cost as much as cable I’m going to delete all the greedy bastard apps! I limit it to 3.
Anyone that has a Disney Plus account, now have to use a pin number outside their IP address. Which mean the household that has a Disney Plus account, when visiting a location that don't use the same IP address, that person will have to use a pin number if they want to watch Disney Plus. Anyone that don't have the same IP address, like family members that don't live in the same household will have to sign in with their own Disney Plus account. But, a family member that has a Disney Plus account, that is visiting family members can use their pin number. The family member household devise that the pin number was sign into will automatic delete once the person that has a Disney Plus account sign in at their home IP address or somewhere else. Which mean anyone that know their family member email and Disney Plus password that live outside of same household won't be able to use that email and Disney Plus account any more.
What about hulu with live TV? Or is that included in the price hike?
Going up to $75.
With those price, I believe it time for Star to come to USA, Now price feel like it not worth the price
I got Hulu for free w my individual premium subscription to Spotify. No longer offered but I'm grandfathered in. Going to hang onto that.
Disney+ price hike was enormous. Cancelled subscription same day.
Sorry, Hulu is out and ESPN too. Will drop Disney when it expures.
Why not keep existing customers at current rate ? Bye-bye Disney 👋
now its 9 dollars for just hulu and disney was looking for these types cus we have disney but not hulu so we are gonna buy it bc diney by it self cost 10 bucks
Corporate greed in 2022 knows no bounds
I have the Disney, hulu espn bundle have had it for over a year now . I only really watch the ad free Simpson's on Disney and I was with ads on hule Bob's Burgers, The Great North and I watch a lot of out of market Penguins hockey gambles on ESPN+ . I have told my adult kids that when Disney moves to ads I'm out I would probably just have ESPN for hockey. My main streaming service is RUclips TV
What about Hulu live tv?
Is Hulu live going up too?
Yes. To $75 a month.
Dude hulu being 17.99 is crazy.
They have to pay those Kardashians 😂🤣😅i knew it as well
so is Disney plus monthly pay still 8 dollars a mouth now can anyone confirm
I hope these 2 don't go up on price too much or I might have to cancel subs.
i still have a hulu+spotify bundle
Canceled disney plus for the last time. Done with these clowns. The worst value in streaming just got worse.
yep
i purchased the bundle in august 2022, as of october 10th, my bundle stopped working and hulu wants me to resubscribe and pay them separately. disney has gone full blown scammer
I email say we’re going to be add free tear .
No problem with ads. Gotta' get snacks or go to the restroom at some point. Usually do it during the ads.
I hate ads so I’ll rob ably buy the. One year of Disney and Hulu plus right away! Thanks for the tip on that!
lets see everbody who ditched netflix for disney plus react to the price increase. iam just waiting to see them suddenly ditch disney plus.
I'm thinking about getting rid of Disney, Hulu & ESPN cause I don't watch ESPN, seen all of Disney movies & Hulu is okay the reasons I kept it
I got rid of them months ago.
So the ad-free/3 streaming bundle is gonna be the same price at $20? That’s what I’m paying right now until I probably go back to ad supported Hulu ($6 less) 🤔
Hey ruining childhoods is expensive bra
I have been a yearly subscriber since day 1 and you betcha I am not renewing in January.
I will get 1 month to watch Daredevil to see how much they destroy that.
I love adds but mine is included with my cellphone plan I need to call them
Nice post!!! First of all is your name and you don't know how to spell ads. And who the hell is ever heard of a cell service offering up ads? You're a joker. It is funny though!
It was the end of espn plus for my wallet, it seemed like worst service of the three.
So are the people that currently pay for the $80 yearly D+ plan won’t be grandfathered in? We’ll have to fork over for the $110?
If you sign up again before December 8th. You get to keep the price for one more year. After that year. I'm sure they will have another price increase.
I have ESPN+ and pay whatever the normal price is around $7. Bought the Disney+ for 3 year price lock and my mom pays for Hulu. Once I got an email saying that my ESPN was going to $9.99. At this point, I just upgraded to the Disney bundle for the like $13 or $13 dollars.
Disney+ is just not worth it at all imo. If it's because the Marvel shows, they've all been mediocre at best, so no, it's not worth it.
Paying 75$ for live tv lmao
Just HULU for me!
I rather pay disney+ itself witt out Hulu lol + love new movies they added ♥️🥰🥰♥️
where you getting 57% from craig 😂
Bundle now Hulu + Disney + dont need ESPN +
Are you serious I watch both apps oh man this is horrible man.
For free
Ads suck and I'm not dealing with ads on a pay damn streaming service. This Disney+ increase sucks too, to be honest. I mean 3 bucks, why not an even 10? Ah it all just sucks in my opinion. Disney+ is a great service but this just sucks, no way around that.
Hate Commercials…. So if I retained Disney (I got it for 3 years way back when) then I would go for the commercial free plan. Since I share it with people… I might have to just ask for some money up front from people. Otherwise I don’t actually watch Disney + Much. Hulu is currently a only watch when stuff is on. So doing that for two months right now, binging stuff and leaving. ESPN doesn’t have much in the way of good Rugby, so its a wash for me. So no bundles. If Netflix goes $3 more per family member (and that is what I am paying $20 a month for plus 4K…. Well Netflix might become a “As I need it” as I don’t really watch stuff in dribs and drabs on there. I just started The Queen’s Gambit. I am that far behind. And I already am on Apple + with the whole Apple Bundle. So that stays.
So if u do want all 3 just minus well get 20 bucks and get all :)
Yeah....I think I'm done. Barely watch them. Not enough content to make it worth it..
It's ok piracy will just increase with all these increases. Jellyfin is free after all
I’ve had ESPN plus for the past year. I already had planned to let the subscription expire and possibly get Disney plus. When I found out they’re raising the price of ESPN plus from $70-$100 it was pretty much a no-brainer to get Disney plus. I even got the upgrade so I won’t have commercials on Hulu. I think eventually you’re gonna be forced to get ESPN plus as part of a package deal. The more things change the more they stay the same.
Cancel and go Pirate
Don't mind ads if they would just run before the program actually starts and not interrupt every 5 minutes.
I have for now avoided the increases by subscribing early on all 3 - that however may change next year when I will do like u & decide if & when I need the content on offer
It’s sucks but it’s not bad guys. Better than paying 120+ for cable
amazon prime video netfix basic amc+hulu basic paramout plus
Goodbye Hulu Disney espn hello antenna. Love it free tv for me. I get 28 different channels free and I can eat steak while a watch with a nice glass of wine. Movies are free everywhere nice to have $0 bill
I only subscribe to Hulu when they offer a free trial. What a pathetic streaming service. Disney+ is even worse. I wouldn’t even get that one for free.
The only ads that drive me nuts is RUclips. It's insane so I signed up for YT Premium. Currently I have the bundle of $15 a month. ( D+, Hulu , espn+) . Hulu might get downgraded to " as needed" and Espn is absolutely useless. I might ditch that completely. Also HBO Max hangs in the balance depending on this Discovery merger. It's going to be a juggling act. I draw the line on any app going $14 and up so we end up there in 2024 I'm just gonna go back to buying content on Vudu 🤣
I spoke with a Disney rep. regarding Hulu & $2.99 Disney bundle , She "said", it would be up to Hulu to raise prices since it is bundled as a Hulu promo. we'll see . lol
Nah f disney I am good
hey dude!! u cant say that because disney have toy storys movies The Incredibles Finding Nemo cars coco meet the robinsons bolt Tangled Wreck-It Ralph Frozen 1 Zootopia Moana Frozen 2 Wreck-It Ralph breaks the internet
I have already cut Hulu and Disney, one word, Kardashians😡
Canceled my account.
I have Hulu for the Christmas pricing of .99 a month. That is usually the only way I get it. I did have Disney for year on a special price but as soon as it ended I didn’t resubscribe. If Hulu doesn’t do the special pricing at Christmas I won’t be subscribing.
So you are saying right now that you can get Hulu and Disney+ without ads and ESPN plus with ads for $15 a month? That does not sound right. I had the Disney bundle and it was Hulu with ads, Disney+ and ESPN plus without ads for $14 a month. I am confused.
Thank God February this I decided to pay the $80 yearly subscription so its until next year February I have to pay the $110 per year deal no ads thats with out counting taxes so I’ll need to have atleast a $125 dollar on my itunes giftcard in my balance to pay for the service
We just signed up for the Hulu + Live TV/Disney+/ESPN+ bundle for $69.99 per month. We HATE commercials, but this was just an experiment to try Hulu after we lost our DirecTV two weeks ago. We still get ads here and there which is really irritating. Hate it when I'm watching old episodes of "The Handmaid's Tale" and I'm getting commercials in it. Since I didn't DVR the episodes because we weren't subscribers, we can't fast forward. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks.
