I'd love to see a sit down with Todd Friel and Jordan Petersen. Petersen needs to ravel further down the path, but he's heading in the right direction... I think.

He's started to realize that the Bible works. Its systems of laws and morality works. But he's yet to ask himself how and why it was that these ancient writers got it right.

But he’s focusing on it from the perspective of a psychologist. JP intellectualizes Christianity and misses the central core message: that Christ died for our sins.

Permit me to correct a grave discrepancy, that I committed to writing, in the previous comment. The word "incarnate" was intended to indicate "preincarnate", in reference to Jesus. I felt, in order to be completely honest in this regard, that it was necessary to correct this error. Thank you for humoring me and putting up with this little dissertation.

What in the world does Ken Ham have to do with anything mentioned in this video?

That would be an awesome transformation if God sovereignly saved Jordan Peterson.

Jordan Peterson may be a smart guy but I don't get my theology from non-believers. " But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14

Peterson isn't objecting on any intellectual basis. I think he's just struggling to accept it because the truth is so miraculous. He can't wrap his big brain around it. Moses wrote the Pentatuch, but it was transcribed many times by the ancient Jews, as was most of the Old Testament. It is not beyond reason to deduce that those scribes applied their own literary style to the text without changing the meaning at all. From what I've read, Jewish scribes transliterated the manuscripts often, and it was an acceptable practice. Jordan should try reading Moses's original writings. Oh, that's right, they were almost 4,000 years ago. Of course, the copies will differ. After all, language evolves, and the scribes were responsible for keeping the text contemporary in order to be read in the synagogues.
I like Jordan Peterson, but he is missing the whole point of scripture.

Why can't people just give God the credit for the writing of scripture. ALL SCRIPTURE! Is that so hard? Sure Jesus recognizes Moses for the writing of the first five books, yes. But how could Moses know, with such intricate detail all the things that happened in the Garden when he wasn't there? I always like to use this analogy... I am a CEO of my company, and I want a letter drafted. So I call in my secretary to dictate a real nasty letter from me to my competitor. Who are the words of the letter coming from, me, or my secretary? If you say my secretary, then I feel sorry for you. Point is, God gave us 2 Pet 1:21 for a reason and still you Christian teachers refuse to understand, and give God all the glory for HIS Word. Really, this has been a test, and people have failed drastically.
Every man that had a hand in the writing of those 66 books we call the Bible, was used by God to say exactly what God wanted him to say. Every "jot, and every title." Peterson isn't convicted of this because God hasn't saved him. His strength is in his intellect, not Eternal God. But all kinds of Biblical teachers, that should know better...don't know better. Moses wrote NOTHING that God didn't want him to write. You also might want to read Jer 36:4-6. There, God shows us exactly how the Bible was written

Jesus was around way back before the time that the book of Genesis was written, in his incarnate state, because he is God. Jordan Peterson , on the other hand, was not going to be born a long long time later, because he is a mere man...not God. Jordan also wasn't an eye witness, because he didn't exist yet. Grant you, Jordan is a smart man, I certainly attest to that. Jesus is God the Son, and cannot lie. Then again Jordan, though extremely intelligent, still does not know everything, because he is a mortal. God is immortal, and knows all things. Jordan is basing his theory on conjecture. A theory is a supposition based on the ignorance of the subject under discussion...that's why it is a THEORY, not a completely known fact.
