Omg! That pastrami sandwich! 🤤🤤 I would happily pay $24 for that! New York is a city you’ve got to eat your way around. Ben and I just KNEW you’d do the Meg Ryan impression too 😂 xxx
I really hope you bought a dash-cam to immediately install in Trudy before driving. No joke and not exaggerating the accidents and insurance scammers on the roads and highways. Stay safe and have fun.
Hey you ambassadors Food video of NYC was excellent 👍 Obviously, I have had those street food many times. But you know what nothing can be tastier than that greasy NYC pizza. The test of it cannot be matched in any other states! Even 3 in the morning the city is still alive: isn't it! Watching you I was feeling cold here in FL. Hurry up coming down here to a warmer neighborhood, you will like it!😊😂😂♥️♥️ Love you guys. Be safe DOSTLAR ( lovely friends)!😍😍
Very interesting video. I am enjoying it. I make my own bagel sandwich at home. 🥯🥯 I usually buy two bagels from the supermarket. I put creme cheese, smoked salmon, and lettice inside. 🥒

Hello there, I see you guys got around to visit many of NYC places also many best food spots 😎 Guess where I'm going yummie Katz but I love my pastrami sandwich with mayo or sauerkraut & chips Thanks for sharing
I was watching this before I had my breakfast and I was so very hungry after watching you two eat. I don't know if I could make my way through the streets in that cold weather, it made me cold just watching you trying to keep warm. So, I heard the news earlier; Ben, Chesca, River and Scout are going to follow you two over here to North America. Will Trudy and Sophia have another meet-up? Stay tuned, right?! Looking forward to your Manhattan video tour. Can't wait to see you in Trudy again too, hope she's right on schedule with the docking and all. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Ha Ha !! Yes we will do our best to meet up and share some more convoy videos 🙌🚐🌺 We are delighted that Trudy will be here soon and the road trip begins !! woo hoo
Great video guys… Love all the food episodes.. That place in Chinatown looked Delicious!! Plus, I love the “3 year old” in Chris obsessed with the Big Trucks 🤣🤣🤣
Another great video in movie land - now we know why Joey I’m Friends doesn’t share his sandwich…. Man that has to be the biggest ever sandwich. Glad you had what Sally had 😁😁you have sold NYC to me I want what Sally had
You are a dab hand with the chopsticks Chris - a skill I have never mastered! All that food makes my shepherd's pie look very uninteresting ! Enjoying all the little bits of history and culture you are giving us x
Another great Video, thank you. I have laughed so much. Hubby has terrible difficulties "eating & drinking" while walking about. When we were with our Son & DIL we spent so much time laughing at him "trying" to eat & drink while walking. When it’s just us we "have" to sit in. However I do love eating on the Hoof!! 🏴🏴🏴❤️
All that lovely food and im eating a slice of lemon sponge. 🤣So jealous lovely people lol . I love how everywhere is so different. Ive certainly been educated watching you and your travels. Keep enjoying the culture . Love M x
Yes for the bagels. New York is famous for them. New York is a changed place, too many restrictions since the pandemic, I rather be in Florida. I don’t miss the winter times. I don’t miss the crowds…but I do enjoy the mix of different people living and working there…
We stayed at the same hotel. What a great location in NYC and it was one of the cheaper hotels to, when we stayed there. Tik Tok cafe next door. Great for New York cheese cake and coffee after a night on the tiles 😈😈. NYC one of the best cities in the world IMHO. So far your itinerary is very similar to ours 😀😀😀😀😀😀. Tips for others in NYC . Go to a baseball game at Yankee stadium if it's the season and Gotham comedy club, it's pretty much next door to the (New Yorker) Wyndham hotel. Cheers guys stay safe.
Looks like you're having fun. The first time I visited I was blown away with the streets and noise. Know Hell's Kitchen. Watched a TV programme many years ago where it showed One Worldwide Plaza being built. Fascinating - and got to see it on my last visit to NY (many years ago now!). Keep up the good work. 👍
Loving the vlog and the food tour china town is the winner. I like the NYC of the early seventies yes there was real social and economic problems and the cops were so bent the pictures wouldn't hang straight on the precinct wall but I'm talking from the movies French Connection and Serpico and 2014s A Most Violent Year a gritty portrayal of the underbelly of NYC when a going to town car was 18 foot long and 5 foot wide with an economical 4.5 to 6-litre engine normal measured in cubic inches just to confuse anyone in Europe gave about 12 mpg.....lol great films though .... let's not mention When Harry Met Sally the time period I'm talking they'd still be in kindergarten.
Next time you come you must go to Jackson Heights in Queens, the most diverse neighborhood in NYC, and do a food tour there. 160 different languages spoken there, little Nepal, little Tibet, little Colombia, among many others. It is the melting pot of the melting pot!
If you guys are in NY for a while, I highly highly recommend a legendary family run bistro in Sunnyside called 'Firefly New York'. You won't regret it.. Just saying. (45-12 43rd Ave, Sunnyside, NY). As always safe travels. 🖖 🧿
Ooooh, that pastrami looked like the good stuff! We have a couple local butchers that we occasionally get specialty meats from, and yes, much better than from a packet! 😆 Mimi and I think you might have visited a bad pretzel stand -- they're supposed to be soft and doughy at that size rather than hard and tough. The cheese sauce might be authentic, though, I don't really care for it myself. I'm more of a stone-ground mustard guy! ❤️❤️😎👍xx
I am going to give them another try based on this !! But for the record .... the cheese will never be added again !! LOL Thanks both and we are looking forward to going out for food with you guys xx
Mmmmmm 😋😋 The 2 of you are naughty 👿 I waited till after my dinner to watch this one as I knew I would be so disappointed in what I was having and I was right. Food looked amazing 🤩. Looking forward to watch you eating your way across America 👏❤️
Food looks amazing!! You can acclimate yourself to enjoy spicy foods, I had to when I moved to Texas where they put heat in almost everything. I went from a person who couldn't take it to one who really enjoys it. I'm back in Michigan and now I am the one who puts heat in everything :) You just have to challenge yourself to eat spicy foods more frequently and allow yourself to be okay with the heat and it will come. If it gets too intense milk helps but not water. Loved the video and congratulate you both on navigating the big city so well.
Brilliant experiencing those places with you - after all that in one day, i'd probably end up not needing to eat again for another 24hrs! The chuck wagons (food carts) are great, though we found that the ones nearer the popular places were a bit samey. Get off the tourist bits and they got much better. I love the savoury stuff, but did you try fresh donuts? Back down in Philly, the trick was to catch them just as they came out of the friers - a lot of the donut stores had a red lamp outside that they switched on when the next batch was fresh. We were being shown around by friends over there, and it was like some weird type of kerb-crawling at times, with all these cars slowly cruising about, followed by a mad dash to get to the next red lamp before the others saw it... 🚗🍩😋 Cheers! Ian
Hi Ian - we are here for a while so we will spread out eating out over the videos and share it as we go - doughnuts are my thing !! So I will be eating some of those for sure !! LOL 😂🌺
The best way to eat a bagel is to eat it with only one filling: cream cheese. If you put anything else in your bagel other than cream cheese makes it a "sandwich". If you are still in New York, it is a rare opportunity to taste a real Jewish deli, you should try 2nd Ave. Deli., because it is truly authentic. The place smells vinegar, I guess because mainly everything is sanitized with vinegar. It is an authentic place. If you want to try a more touristic deli experience, you can try Katz Deli in Times Square. Also New York style pizza is a delicacy, but there are more than 40 different Ray's Pizza which claims to be authentic, but I guess, anyone of them is authentic enough to try a simple delicious NY style pizza. I know New York is far more expensive than Turkey, but you should not deprive yourselves of the good food, because you may be in New York once in your life - twice in case of Chris. By the way: Katz used to be $15 a sandwich when I last visited them.
What a realistic nyc food tour, he even gave the street garbage a platform lol.
Marianne just made my day with her imitation of Sally 😂😂😂
Same 😂 I was waiting for one of them to do it
All the years that I spend in NYC, I miss the food.
