Tyson was built like a football player but he moved like a flyweight. He was a boxer in a wrestler's body. If he lands one shot with the 4oz gloves then it's all over. If you taught him some ground game and Muay Thai you would've created the deadliest organic weapon in history.
***** Those couple of ounces make a huge difference, even when I'm fresh I feel like im swinging bricks with 16 oz boxing gloves. I feel light as a feather with MMA gloves, it's weird.
@@khonyeleaglefergumedov9175 Yeah you try to get a 19 year old Tyson on the ground 🤣🤣....the man with 4 oz UFC gloves would have knocked heads off...and your ribs and other vitals wouldn't fare so well either...
@@tiredox3788 Yeah it's possible to get him on the ground...but you are talking about a dude that was taught to punch in boxing gloves. If you look at the UFC there has never actually been great boxers....because if they were great at boxing they can make a lot more just boxing. Like I said a 19 year old Tyson never went backwards...he was incredibly aggressive....if he hit you....even if you were an expert/experienced UFC fighter...you are definitely going to feel it....and it is probably going to be the hardest you've ever been hit. Good luck getting the guy with breathtaking anger issues on the ground or even trying to block him...imagine if Tyson could actually hold someone and hit them and that was completely legal in the sport...he would seriously injure someone.

Hmm, I disagree. Tyson was crazy fast if not faster than Ali. Ali was better at the game though, more creative, more intelligent. But no heavy weight ever, could put combinations together with the speed and power of Tyson.
tyson was a great fighter but he lost everytime he faced elite competion like lewis and holyfeild. If tyson didnt take u out in the first half of the fight then u had a pretty good chance at beating him. I think tyson/Ali would look a lot like the Ali/foreman fight. If Ali was able to lay on the ropes and take punches from prob the hardest puncher in the history of boxing then he could easily do the same thing to tyson
+LikerPenger Yes, thank you. Also, on top of all the bs surrounding Tyson in the Buster fight he still in my book should have won that fight, Douglas went down for a 12-13 count. Tyson was a shell of his former self in that fight and all after. Timing was off, couldn't string punches together, flat footed, killer instinct was gone.
Look how badly Anderson Silva, Mark Hunt, Wanderlei, and Cro Cop schooled people with their striking. None can move or punch like Mike. 1. Tyson's uppercuts will take out a lot of wrestlers once he learns to time it. 2. His footwork will make takedown defense progress faster.
Polarcupcheck he literally probably would have killed people fighting with 4 ounce gloves. His striking was so far superb It would be enough to cancel out his weaknesses. Jiu-Jitsu would be his biggest weakness in my opinion so if he could keep off the ground im sure he'd be golden.
tyson's style (not relying on jabs too much and relying more on overwhelming people with big strikes) would work really in mma because the small gloves make blocking really difficult. if he had a team of coaches showing him in his 20s how to wrestle and train in jiu jitsu, he would wreck people.
What people tend to miss out on,is how little we got to see of the best Mike Tyson had to offer,he wasn't even 22 when he stopped training with rooney and hired some clueless trainers of don king who knew nothing of his style, plus with all the turmoil in his life overall from people trying to epxloit him, from his wife to his manager and a random wanna be model,he simply was never perfomring at his best due to all of that and more...
Like the guy said, "4 oz gloves"... Tyson punching you isn't the same as a talented mma fighter hitting you with a nice punch. You get hit by a punch from a very well trained MMA fighter, you're going to think, Damn, that hurts.. But no hit you receive from them will equal the damage of a Mike Tyson hook, uppercut, jab, whatever... How naive some people are, if a Boxer was going to prep seriously for the MMA then it only takes a few months of leg conditioning. Any fool stupid enough to to hyper extend a roundhouse to the thigh is going to be met with a punishing retaliation from the Boxer after he just wears it and brushes it off and once you have a Boxer in your face unloading combo's its pretty hard to fire off your kicks. Aside from punching power, he was Naturally strong, Not very tall, has a low base so he would probably be difficult to shoot/takedown once he devolped some wrestling skills/a defense...wonder how he would kick...
Imagine Mike tyson with cormier's wrestling?
We should all be THANKFUL Mike NEVER got to fight in the UFC bc he would've killed someone and the sport as a whole would have been banned or possibly never existed!
for reals tho
Tyson prime he would of win anything front of him period
i know obviously he would suck on the ground just saying if he had decent wresling training he would be a beast, remember how he destroyed everyone with 1 punch in his prime
UFC glove fitting Mike Tyson's hand times the velocity of his muscle mass connecting to another one's head would equal 1 less idiot
"imagine" a young mike tyson in ufc trained by Cus d Mato and Masahiko Kimura
Tyson already has the boxing skills. All he would of need is to learn wrestling takedowns.
Dc submits Tyson every day of the week
Still the best
