I had a great experience building my YT Capra out of the box, very similar to this process. Obviously you know what you're doing Sarah so this message isn't for you, but for others watching, I'd recommend you take it for a tune up with a qualified bike mechanic before you take it out on the trails. Rotors typically need tweaking yadda yadda yadda. :-)
Faszinating tool - hadn't seen it before, was wondering for one second how this works - then you realize how simple it is... a genius who came up with this ... :-)
The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
Nah not rich, I knew what I wanted and worked towards it. Took a few years, also got a great deal, I was going for the EVIL Calling, then the 5010 came along cheaper so I took that.
@@robygoncalves4348 Much lesser quality components on the SC. I went for a Canyon for that very reason. Wasn't going to spend thousands on a SC then have to upgrade components to meet Canyon's standards. To each his own though.
6 minutes to build a Canyon. 6 months to get Canyon customer service to sort out even the simplest of issues that will come with their bikes. Bought once. Wouldn't touch with a bargepole again.
gio Va sorry just saw this. My sender kept having small issues, which is to be expected of a DH rig that's getting abused. But every time you contact Canyon for anything it's a disaster. Months for small parts to come. Getting double charged for items. 2 weeks for a reply etc. In 1 year the bike was rideable for about 30% of the time till the chainstay snapped. It was deemed a production issue with my frame but took months to get the new one sent out. Avoid at all costs
Same here. Shock misaligned (wearing out anodisation on the stanchion), rear triangle misaligned, non-drive side bolt connecting the rocker to the seatstay destroyed, headset cups non-parallel and non-concentric. Several people I know have the same and even different issues. Avoid like the plague and buy yourself a discounted Santa Cruz.
I know I'm kinda late, but whatever. The frames are made in China, transported to Koblenz, Germany and CT scanned. Bikeradar did a video in their factory.
Really enjoyed the honesty and openess, my wifes new Spectral is in the post and now we know what to expect, cheers
Interesting... my canyon torque came with the back wheel off and the dropper seatpost wasn't connected to the cable.
I cannot figure out the rear wheel assembly
@@adamlake9507 where is your problem assembling it?
It depends on bike size, large and up rear wheel is off medium and smaller it's fitted
4:45 Who else cringed when she so violently put on the front wheel?
i had to skip that part
She’s crazy
Had me gasping for days... it should be a fireable offense at PB to handle bikes this way...
If I assembled my bike in the living room my parents would kill me
I got a YT..no shock pump..no tools...no stans valves...no carbon paste. Did get some stickers though.
SteadyMTB should be equal😂😂😂
Hans Peter hmmm... equal would be stickers and some packets of harribo :-)
Steven S Maan I forgot 😌
My YT did comw with tools and a shock pump
in my canyon, I got some RockShox stickers

she has the greatest laugh ever, it alone was worth watching the vid for
Nice video Sarah and Pinkbike! Good job keeping focus, too, as I'm sure Paul the Punter was heckling in full force! hahaha!
Jeff Kendall-Weed he was offering nothing but support and encouragement :)
Jeff Kendall-Weed
you are a very professional bike builder
It always looks easier when someone else is doing the work 😃
Doesn't assembly paste also go to the carbon handlebar?
That dejavu feeling of building your own bike
Fun video to show ease of assembly Sarah looks like she could be a niece of mine from Roswell NM?
So sad Canyon don't ship in Canada ...
Timothee Danella Cloutier damn
I think they're supposed to start come this July
So they ship in romainia but not canada whatt???
@@mihaic6253 Romania is close to Germany.
What is the brand of that torque wrench? Looks cool
David Kernaghan it's essentially a topeak one, just orange with a canyon logo

They are pretty crap only to use once then throw away and buy a proper one
Happy bday merry wismas.
Whats it weigh?
And congratulations.
I got a spectral this march and building it took no more than 30 minutes
Sweet! Thanks for sharing and hope you get out for some shredding soon.
yup, been shredding alot this month and really impressed about the bike for the money i paid

Did you get all of the tools in the box or you have it at home?
hahaha, i'd have to switch arms when i was pumping up the fork!
nice video guys
Thanks Andrei!
what is the name of the site that l bought for bike??
I’m late to this vid but what size is that
How could you get this bike in North America?
How do we get these in Canada????!!
hi, this bike is S or M size? thanks
Now you just need to do a tubeless conversion and your done.
Sarah did this that evening, she said it was a super easy job on this combo.
My Santa Cruz came pre built, Santa Cruz for the win
It was also probably twice the price. It's nice to be rich, I guess.

Are those 26” wheels ?
I had to install the cable to the dropper post. took me more than half an hour. the rest wasn't that hard. luckily you didn't have this problem
How much all of that?
I think fox use kilo bodyweight in the front and lbs in the rear.

john barlow what happened
Just got a strive and it came super fucked up so I understand this struggle

It looks cooler when the forks aren't pumped up
The "building up" is the easy bit, the hard part is actually getting the bike delivered.... Customer service of canyon sucks!
"10 seconds..." 😏
7:18 why you yanking on the brakes when you haven't bedded them yet.
Great lookin' bike... 8] (GREAT lookin' Lady...*Epic Wink* #Hello)
What the size of your frame : and how tall you are,🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So let me get this straight... you don’t need to bleed the brakes straight out of the box?
This is more assembling than building but sure why not
Is this bike made in Germany or made in China? Thanks in advance for your honest reply.
I know I'm kinda late, but whatever. The frames are made in China, transported to Koblenz, Germany and CT scanned. Bikeradar did a video in their factory.
Spain 🇪🇸😎👍😂
Shit video, I want to unpack a bike now as well. 😂👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Who else is getting the canyon torque 6 2021
Huhuhuhuhu
Not cycling her suspension as she inflates it makes me cringe so hard
it always takes longer...
I cringed when she was slamming on the brakes before bedding them in 🤦🏼♂️
I always thought it was “pin bike” not “pink bike”
A bit croaky
my god what an annoying voice, but nice video I persisted
This wont make me buy a Canyon but thanks ... I guess
That was only slightly annoying... Just don't put her on RUclips again.
Brandon Sheldon she was fine
Or just don’t watch it if they do put her on again
I think she did awesome! 😀
How is this a build? 😂😂😂
the title is a little missleading i thought it ment choose parts to build instead of assembling a new canyon out of the box
Al caholic I was expecting some carbon layup myself.
you beat me on building my Spectral 9.0 pro and Im a man. lol
WOMAN!
ON A BIKE!
WITH PANTS!!!
O, God save the Queen, what time we are living...
#fuckconsumerdirect
if you got to watch a video on how to assemble a bike then you should not deserve a bike like that
If she has the money and can afford it why not?
you just are jelous because you done have the money.
Gatekeeping..
Why you care?
Why are you laughing ?????
Because Sarah is a very happy person. Possibly the happiest person you're ever going to meet!
Probably because she couldnt think of an outtro for the vid, but felt awkward not closing the video out lol
Why are you asking stupid questions
RichardChick why are you breathing? Because you’re human like Sarah.
Man, is that Cheeshead annoying! Get that hat off. You put the seat, handlebars, wheels and pedals on. your good to go.
