That green is stunning. Oris has very nice dials, and that's something I entirely appreciate. I always feel like they almost hit the mark on their cases and bracelets, but just somehow manage to kind of miss it. The hands are very Tag Heuer to me.... I used to live close by the Han River in Seoul. Just talking about it brings back memories. We used to kayak but never in the Han. The Han was just a mess. This review just brought back beautiful memories and not just about watches. Thanks, Bruce!
Hey Bruce. What do you think about doing a video about bracelets. What you like, what you don’t like and why. Considering we talk so much about how the case fits, and how much bigger the bracelet is
im actually struggling whether i should take another piece off from my shitty edifice bracelet considering that i couldnt do it myself and dun wanna be kicked out of the shop telling them to put it back if it turns too tight lol
Beautiful watch, thanks for your review. The accuracy issue doesn't move my needle. If it's +10 sec/day, I won't notice for at least a week...if I even wear it for a week straight without wearing another watch in my collection. Big Oris fan here, only dilemma is which one I should buy next. Stay safe, everyone!
I'm always of the opinion that the small seconds feature on a watch isn't there to time things etc, but more as a method to reassure yourself that the watch is running at a glance. What do you think about that theory?
As an owner for 2 Oris watches I really like this model. You are absolutely correct in that the dial is stunning. I realize that the folks at Oris wanted to make an Aquis that was more different that their current lineup. So the small seconds, the date track and engraved case-back was the way to go. I also agree that the stated accuracy in the owner's manual might leave some wanting more--particularly at the MSRP, myself included. However, I've found 2 things to make that more acceptable. First, my local AD gave me a 20% discount (nice). And second, my personal experience is that I'm getting about 10 seconds a day--roughly. My very unscientific test was to set the time on the 1st of the month and wear it every day and then see where I was at the end of the month. I found the Aquis was 5 minutes fast. This has been consistent for the last 15 months. I don't even consider myself a collector, perhaps a rookie enthusiast. But, I'm pretty satisfied with that performance. Thanks again for another great video.
I picked this up just before Christmas and absolutely love it. As you say, Bruce, the bracelet, for me, is a part of the attraction. Absolutely stunning piece. Even my ex-wife told me that I should "Never sell that - its beautiful!" 🤣
Looks like a green version of my blue Aquis Save The Reef edition. Beautiful watch. The date doesn't bother me. I wish the second hand was larger. Lune is amazing. The polished bracelet scratches easily. The watch is incredibly easy to wear. Mine runs reasonably accurate. Great review!
Great looking watch!! I'll vouch for Oris and love the green face. Almost hard to believe I've had mine for over a year now. It's an amazing watch for the money. In my weekly rotation. Where it 3-4 times a week. Very easy to set the date/time. I've worn more expensive watches, Rolex and Panerai and I think this brand offers just as much bang for the buck. Take care guys and stay safe!
Im in love waiting on mine to come in the door oris has hooked me and i swallowed hook line and sinker for the aquis & the pro pilots are my fav oris is just cool and butiefull
The green is awesome. I have the Barrier Reef III. To be honest I don't care about the seconds hand on it. It's so small that I don't use it, and realistically on a regular three hander I don't care about the seconds hand other than looking at it sweeping by. As for the date wheel, it's a bit hard to read but it gives the watch a great aesthetic look. All in all the standard Aquis dial is more practical but these just look stunning.
I’m really digging the Oris Aquis. I have an Aquis GMT date and just received my Aquis Carysfort LE. Oris does blue and green dials so well. The size is perfect for my wrist. I don’t mind the lugs. It’s their design and I don’t swap out straps/bracelets often. The Hangang looks great and in basically a different colorway of the Great Barrier Reef III. I think Oris trying to diversify they’re Aquis offerings and have different functions / complications.
In general I think Oris does a little too much Limited Editions like Omega does. BUT I think they're almost always beautiful and special! I own the Clean Ocean Limited Edition and for me it's one of my visually most stunning watches in every aspect. I also love that they put in special booklets and even boxes sometimes. The Clean Ocean also has the "Alge" box which is truly special in look in feel. This is something where I'm happy to spend a few bucks more compared to the regular Aquis editions! Dials, colors and great as well as unique limited editions is what I love most about Oris.
I bought this after seeing your review. The seconds hand and date are the very things that attracted me to it; something a bit different. Only paid $1875.00
Enjoyed your video as always Bruce. You’re enthusiasm draws me in every time. I agree that the watch is stunning. Not the greatest power reserve & I agree that a sapphire coating is a must especially with a dial that is so striking. “Stay Safe”
@Bruce Williams how do i find you on Discord? You and Rob are both doing this and i can never find a link or info on how to find you. Thanks man, keep it up!!!
Great review, Bruce, thank you. Nice looking watch, but Man it's a tough, competitive price area. Guess I'd rather get the TAG Aquaracer green or save for an Omega.
I think the Oris Aquis is the most beautiful diver watch in the market. The case, dial and bracelet of the Aquis are beautiful and have a modern look. The Oris Aquis is more beautiful than the Rolex Hulk you are wearing Brian. The bracelet is a continuity of the watch design because of that I will not replace my bracelet with a strap. The bracelet is also more comfortable and long lasting than the strap. I prefer the big second in a watch than the small second.
Thanks for another terrific production. A real looker from Oris. If they insist on an off the shelf movement, why not at least give it some regulation. Often one hears reworked in house, but rarely sharpened tolerances, OR why not their own in house movement for a brand new model. I have always liked the aesthetics but the movements leave me wanting.
I rather have the Oris Aquis over the Rolex Hulk. Amazing looking green at 1/3 the price, available, will survive the Rolex 5 years warranty and service much much cheaper what more can you ask for.
Bought this watch, at first because it is a "Korea" watch and overall this watch grows on you....however, I do agree with u on date wheel, it looks great but i am afraid in a few years, i may not be able to read them...🥴
On the whole I think its good. A couple blemishes on the hands. Lume a little rough on the sub seconds hand. On par with others I've filmed at this price
A practicality issue, though it shouldn't matter to most, is without that second hand to take advantage of the timer bezel, it seems they missed it right there. It works have been better had they made it a dual time bezel imo. Still though a stunner!
I just bought one, got a good discount but I would have bought it at regular price anyway. The Han river is near and dear to me; I had to support the effort and I will probably never use the watch. I have several watches in my collection that I never use. They were either gifted to me and I appreciate that or they are not expensive but unique like this one. As tight as the calendar is on it, it is infinitely better than the calendar on my Orient Journeyman which was my daily beater until I bought an Oris Aquis GMT Diver.
Attractive watch. The green really pops. Don't like the functionality of the date system. For some reason I don't understand, Oris just doesn't quite do it for me. Perhaps they will in time 🤔
Saw in real life and was kind of dissapointed by the green. But that's the theme for me with oris and green, they seem to not be able to hit the mark, like they are able to do so in blue. Standard blue aquis, baikal lake limited edition, reef lim edition, all different, all gorgeous. The reef example also destroys the Hangang LE on the date. While on Hangang it's very difficult to find it quickly / without too much effort, the reef with just a little of yellow accent worked perfect. Sorry oris, I am a big fan of this date complication of yours, but you gotta give it some color. Where on reef it worked great and moved it in my eyeys to another level, here it's moving it even below standard aquis.
Oris fanboy chiming in: great review. to be honest this is not one of my favorites of their LEs. I really find that color not for me. a little sickly green. kinda cool on the small seconds, but can't decide if i would not love it after a while.
The green dial is mesmerizing but that small seconds hand does not work. It looks like an after thought. And the date system is odd. I’m trying to like this watch but it misses.
Off the bat - it looks gorgeous, the green looks amazing.......very nice dial but then you clock the micro seconds hand and my smile goes from 😀 to 🥴 - shame about the movement and lack of ARC
I'll pass on this one, not a green guy, though I've tried. Had an Alpinist and appreciated it but not on myself. Also don't care for the small seconds. I do like an Aquis though. Might track down a Staghorn idk.
I'll never buy an Aquis as long as it has that integrated bracelet. Which means I'll probably never buy an Aquis, because it's pretty much part of it's identity.
Compared to the hulk it's blingy. I have a captain cook in green and although it's blingy too, it's not as bad as this oris. I prefer my captain cook and it's a similar price point. More refined than the oris. The oris will appeal to the younger market because they believe in the robust macho case etc. It's a nice watch but it's a big chunk of metal on your arm. If I were buying an oris then the 65 is the way to go. Or even a big pointer if u like a dress watch. I do think they offer good value for money though on the whole .
That green is stunning. Oris has very nice dials, and that's something I entirely appreciate. I always feel like they almost hit the mark on their cases and bracelets, but just somehow manage to kind of miss it. The hands are very Tag Heuer to me....

I have this watch, and I really love it! The color is something else! Sits great on my wrist! Really comfortable link! Again, I love it!
This green is amazing. But I don't like the small seconds in this position.
Hey Bruce. What do you think about doing a video about bracelets. What you like, what you don’t like and why. Considering we talk so much about how the case fits, and how much bigger the bracelet is
I'll keep it in mind. What makes a good bracelet is so subjective to everyone
As someone who isn’t much of a bracelet person, but is looking into getting more familiar with them, I would love this type of video!
im actually struggling whether i should take another piece off from my shitty edifice bracelet considering that i couldnt do it myself and dun wanna be kicked out of the shop telling them to put it back if it turns too tight lol

Holy crap that Oris is stunning!

Beautiful dial color is what Oris is best. I love this watch.
Wearing my green Aquis watching this. They are so nice.
Above everything that Oris does well... they do “green” the best.
Love it. Prefer this date than a window, & like the small seconds too. Definitely one that's going on my list. Cheers mate 👍🏻

I too have a green aquis and I love it. A solid watch and it's in a rotation too.
Im in love waiting on mine to come in the door oris has hooked me and i swallowed hook line and sinker for the aquis & the pro pilots are my fav oris is just cool and butiefull

proud of as a south korean :)
Great review as always Bruce! A subscriber from the Philippines.
Oris is hitting them out of the ballpark
I've been looking at that watch for awhile. I have the Oris pointer date and I can never see it cause it's so small
Great video as always Bruce. Greetings from Poland !!!
I’m really digging the Oris Aquis. I have an Aquis GMT date and just received my Aquis Carysfort LE. Oris does blue and green dials so well. The size is perfect for my wrist. I don’t mind the lugs. Hi Bruce, how do you think this compares to the carysfort and whale shark limited editions. I’m struggling to decide between the 3.
I have 202/2000 I love this watch so much.
Love your intros. All of em
In general I think Oris does a little too much Limited Editions like Omega does. BUT I think they're almost always beautiful and special! @@sammckeown909 No, amazingly!

Thank you John
Bruce where can I buy that mug with the Oris bear on it?
Does that bezel turn? Because mine doesn't
@Bruce Williams how do i find you on Discord? You and Rob are both doing this and i can never find a link or info on how to find you. Thanks man, keep it up!!!

So there is no 31 for Date?
Wish the bezel was a bit greener. Oris green watches the bezel always seems almost black.
The green is nice but the dates are quite small and not good for my old eyes.
I rather have the Oris Aquis over the Rolex Hulk. Amazing looking green at 1/3 the price, available, will survive the Rolex 5 years warranty and service much much cheaper what more can you ask for.
1/3rd? Where can I buy a sub hulk for 6k?
No offense to your Hulk, because I know you love that watch, but it's dial pales in comparison to that Oris! That thing is stunning!
Bought this watch, at first because it is a "Korea" watch and overall this watch grows on you....however, I do agree with u on date wheel, it looks great but i am afraid in a few years, i may not be able to read them...🥴
리뷰해주셔서 감사합니다.
Bruce Williams I loved you in Unbreakable
Interesting look. No "10" on the bezel annoys me a little. Thanks.
Nice review Bruce. Macro shows some of the finishing a bit rough... what do you think? Cheers from England

Btw Hangang (Han River) is not in a bad shape and its quite clean given it cuts across Seoul. Though they are making sure it stays that way 👍
Nice, but I've got watch burnout after 5 years of really buying, selling, collecting.
P.S. My kid got into the "U"; found out yesterday.
Excellent!!
I just bought one, got a good discount but I would have bought it at regular price anyway. The Han river is near and dear to me; I had to support the effort and I will probably never use the watch. What, no lume shot?
9:26-9:40
Nice green, for me the top of green is the one by Blancpain Batyscaphe Chronometer. Farvawsy better than the Rolex Hulk.
Thank you for saying "Han Gang" right.
One day there will be a green gmt..... one day.
Why would they name their watch after a cow?
It's not a matter of the movement quality here. It's whether the watch has been regulated or not. I guess this Oris hasn't been.
Not another sales gimmick with a limited edition!!
Attractive watch. The green really pops. Don't like the functionality of the date system.
For some reason I don't understand, Oris just doesn't quite do it for me. Perhaps they will in time 🤔

The Oris Aquis Predator Blood
The green dial is mesmerizing but that small seconds hand does not work. It looks like an after thought. And the date system is odd. I’m trying to like this watch but it misses.
phecond will do me for now.
I’m over green dials. Blue or black!
Off the bat - it looks gorgeous, the green looks amazing.......very nice dial but then you clock the micro seconds hand and my smile goes from 😀 to 🥴 - shame about the movement and lack of ARC
nice video

What I do so well... PHIRST

If they ever fix those nasty lugs I am on board
I'll never buy an Aquis as long as it has that integrated bracelet. Which means I'll probably never buy an Aquis, because it's pretty much part of it's identity.

You’re sucking up to Oris now cuz you gave them a bad review on their new calibre 400 movement.
Oris is not good watch brand! there i said it!
Meh...Another green ORIS.
Formex Reef...much better!
