Yo this guy is an absolute legend. Speaks clearly, knows what to do and how to do it. I knew absolutely nothing, but now I feel like I can do this 1000 times because of this guy. Keep making these helpful content bro 🎉
You are so kind! Thank you, glad the video was helpful.
He is a legend.
Below are words I son’t want to delete after like 15 minutes effort typing.
A sec I thought this is scam and scroll through comments checking to see if anyone f up and on and on and on. Until I finally decided to give it a try after countless attempts to change my D disk into the where all downloads go, but the system is just not listening. It’s downloaded into D disk but the programs all install and run in C. I am not a professional one, and I spend hours that frustrated me much much much. And like a minute ago, too much frustration kicks in that I decided to go for a risky try. Like if this laptop’s gonna die, I rather spend another 10 buck for the tec guy to factory reset it rather than I still can’t god dang fix this D disk problem. Yep, I decided to try this method in the video which solves mt issue.
So nice to find videos that get to the point with clear concise instructions. So many other vids have a bunch of random stuff in between steps and draws out the whole process longer than it ever needed to be
Thank you!! Glad the video was helpful. 😊
@@TechGuyCharlie Glad I saw your video or I would've gone crazy
Fantastic job with process and details. I just installed a new M.2 SSD into my laptop and ran into a problem you identified. I had to delete my recovery partition to fully benefit from the larger drive I just installed. Thanks to this video, I was able to accomplish this task. Very Grateful to you and this video.
Ah, bless you! I used another of your videos to upgrade (clone) my 1TB SSD to a 2TB SSD and it was so simple, following your clear instructions! Unfortunately, it did such a good job cloning it showed only 1TB on the new 2TB drive, with the option to Extend Volume not available (greyed out). Another of your videos (this one) to the rescue! Thank you so very much - there are so many instructional videos out there generously uploaded by various folks, but yours are always the most informative and easy to follow - as well as encouraging - you make us think it just that easy - and after following your steps, it is! AND SUCCESSFUL! Thank you so much.
i just got to say man, i have never been as impressed as i am after watching your videos. Your care and thurough thought process really saved my day.
What an awesome job, Charlie. I was able to upgrade successfully with the 2 videos when the 'Extend Volume" was grayed out. I really appreciate it.
Thank you Joe! Sounds awesome, glad the videos were helpful.
This helped me so much! You have a real talent for explaining things clearly. I wouldn’t have known what to do
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much Charlie, like everyone has said. Your two videos, especially this one was very well put together and explained perfectly. Got my subscription 👍 keep doing what your doing man.
Charlie you saved me from tons of unnecessary work! Thank you so much for the content and help! Please keep uploading videos for us!
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, you have no idea how long it took for me to find instructions for how to fix this issue anywhere else.😁
Glad the video was helpful! 😊
by far the best tutorial I have used for my PC. used both this and the tutorial for cloning an SSD with the m.2 enclosure. 10/10
Easy to follow, straight to the point. YOU DESERVED MY LIKE.
Great video, nice step by step. I recently upgraded my hard drive from 500 mb to 1 tb but couldn't figure out how to extend it and both my college kids with tech background were stumped. The process was easy and it worked, thanks for the video.
Charlie, you are THE MAN. I used your other video to copy a 500GB SSD to a 2TB SSD, and then installed the new 2TB SSD into my PC. No issues at all, except this one...I couldn't extend the volume. But you my friend had a link to THIS video, and it worked perfectly. THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Anytime!!! Glad I could help! 😊
Thank you so much. I ran into this problem today and your video was straightforward and worked like a charm. Much appreciated.
You are the best....the only video teach this throughout the internet!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Charlie. Plain and simple, great video.
Excellent video. Clear, to the point, and you solved my problem simply without telling me to go download some other software. THANK YOU!
Anytime man!! You know, 3rd party software also do the exact same thing, its a little cumbersome via command line, but I'd rather do it this way than to install additional partition software.
You are a legend man .. thank you so much for both videos on the clone and the extend .. it took me a long time to figure it out and you just nailed it for me.
Thank you! Glad the video was helpful. 😊
Your videos are a life saver. I've already watched 2 and those helped me a lot. Thank you so much. Forever subscribed now.
Thank you!! Glad the video was helpful 😊 and welcome to the channel.
Thank you so much, I watched you other video on cloning/installing the new SSD and freaked out when the extend option was greyed out. This was super easy and fixed my issue.
Glad it helped 😊
Hi, wouldn't extending the recovery partition to the unallocated partition make one single partition then the C partition could have been been extended...!!!
has any one extended the recovery partition to the unallocated and then extend the primary or C partition...????
The extend option was greyed out but the erase option was and is not for any one that wants to delete the partition in question.....without using command prompt.
Thanks you so much Mr Charlie. That's what I wanted to do with my HDD after a recovery. All videos I've seen are explaining the procedure ignoring the case in which the option "Extend Volume" is disabled "or grayed", until I found yours. Very well and clearly explained. Thanks again my friend. 🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👍👍👍
I am really glad I could help. 😊
You are a legend man .. thank you so much for both videos on the clone and the extend .. it took me a long tome to figure it out and you just nailed it to me. Keep it up man

Hi, wouldn't extending the recovery partition to the unallocated partition make one single partition then the C partition could have been been extended...!!!
has any one extended the recovery partition to the unallocated and then extend the primary or C partition...????
@@legendcanibal9642 I don’t think u can extend the primary into the recovery partition which is the whole point of deleting it to extend
@@rage2045
No.
With windows navigation of any software...
Un allocated portion can have the allocated on the right extend to it.
Recovery partition or drive partition.
Now. A drive or recovery portion having an allocated partition on the righ can not extend into a unallocated partition on the righ of the allocated portion.
But can extend allocated to the unallocated then extend the drive or recovery to the new allocated partition that includes the previous unallocated portion.
Thus doing this let avoid erasing a partitions on the way to extend.
After this you can create a partition that includes the recovery but leaves the unallocated partition untouch.
The issue on my post was to follow these steps and have the greyed extend option able to extend without using command prompt and not erasing anything.
God fortune amigo.
Last the erase option is able without going to command prompt ....in right click.

Awesome! Worked great. Video was short and straight to the point. Thank you
Brilliant. My only problem ... I had two recovery partitions standing in the way. But I felt confident to improvise! Many thanks.
You delete both? I have the same problem
@@jkwon85 it's a while ago, but yes I think so.
@@johnlyon326 Thanks,I ended up using a paid software to migrate the data and that one worked out for me.
Hey this is great and good job with the videos. I wanted to add one thing, if you want to add the recovery partition back to the drive after you have deleted it and extended the drive, what you can do is install windows 10 or 11 (at the time of this comment) and select the option to keep all files, settings and apps. This will keep everything the same and add the recovery partition to the drive. I literally just did this today. Thanks.
It won’t let me reinstall without the recovery system
Can you please elaborate on how to add a recovery partition after merging
I could not help but to subscribe, man you kow your stuff.
Recently discovered your channel - brilliant work and so easy to follow and understand. Thank you.

How do I extend a healthy recovery partition?
If the recovery partition is between the partition you want to extend and the unallocated space, right-click on the recovery partition and select Move Partition. 3. In the Move Partition screen, click and hold to drag the recovery partition towards the right hand side and then click OK.Apr 21, 2022
