- The Conservative Party as a political force is dead, Nigel Farage claims today, insisting he would deliver a better opposition to Labour than the Tories after the general election.
Speaking to The Telegraph's Political Editor Ben Riley-Smith in Clacton during his first visit since announcing he would run to be its MP, the newly installed Reform leader warns of more Tory in-fighting to come.
#Farage #milkshake #clacton
He says different factions in the Conservatives “hate each other” and predicts “worse” internal battles after a defeat than the recent feuding which saw two leader switches in 2022.
Mr Farage forecasts that Reform will win more votes at the election than the four million which Ukip, the insurgent party of the Right he once led, secured in the 2015 election.
And, in an attempt to end doubts about his trust-worthiness after his volte face on standing in this campaign, he vows to serve every day of the five-year term if elected as an MP.

To be fair to Nigel, he's the only politician that can sit in a pub with a pint and it doesn't look forced or gimmicky
and that's why he has my vote. don't know much about his policies but the man can sink a pint and i respect that
that would be one way to clear a pub after last orders. Send him in.
Corbyn, Galloway. This guy is a islamaphobe.
Rishi with the pint of Lemonade the other day did crack me up
The sarcasm is noted.
Love Nigel vote for reform
🤢🤮 friend of a convicted felon.
Parliament needs someone like Nigel. He’ll definitely hold that slippery bunch to account.

I disagree with him a lot, but at least he comes off genuine about his beliefs. I can see why so many will vote for him.
Nigel Farage helped Kreir Starmer help with the cost of living crisis haha
> he would deliver a better opposition to Labour
He's failed to be elected as an MP SEVEN times. This loser isn't wanted.
Got Brexit
No seat needed.
Give the British people what they want.
Win, win, win, win
He'll wipe that smirk of your face on July 4th make no mistake. . up yours 😂😂
I hope he wins as we need someone in Parliament who will shake things up
Everything comes to he who waits…and now is the time for change
@@gaillomax 💯💯
Love him or hate him at least Nigel Farage says what he genuinely believes, unlike every other politician.
Vote reform
Im voting for REFORM.
That woman who threw something at him should be arrested and prosecuted. Disgraceful.
Hate crime!
The radical left are violent and abusive and project their actions onto others who disagree. These are the types who set up the Gulags, fill the mass graves thinking themselves righteous. They are an existential threat to freedom, we can see this, and so can Nigel Farage.
Farage said on 24 February 2022 that the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine was "A consequence of EU and NATO expansion"
and he supports Trump.

🇬🇧 Gratulations from Norway 🇳🇴
Anybody voting for either of the two main party's will deserve everything they get over the next 5 or 10 years. It's your vote, think about it.
Labour's support is basically deluded students and 'those from elsewhere'. Reform is the only choice for patriots and working people.
The Tories and Labour are the same party - vote them out!
Cut off point for registration to run for election will end on Friday..... there after if a Tory MP switches to the Reform Party, the Tories will not be able to have a candidate in that constituency, so watch out on Saturday morning and there after for Tory MPs switching to Reform, the Conservative Party HQ will be very nervous at this point.
I am 72 ive always liked Nigel my vote goes to Reform
There were many more than 'a few hundred people', there was well over a thousand.
Reform ❤
Oh yes there is a movement
Remember Brexit
Vote REFORM 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
A proper pint. Sunak pictured madly waving a pint of lager about just make me laugh.
He's about as tall as a pint! In every respect.
Sunak’s nightmare.
I'm guessing Nigel farage likes a 5 mile walk to the toilet 😂 bloody weather spoons , I do like what reform wants to do on their website, support small farmers, fisheries ect ect, bringing work to the youngsters to carry on ( yes they have to get off electronics) it will be good for them
i could sit and chat with Nigel all day long he talks openly and honestly....
honestly?? Hahaha he lied his arse off in the Brexit campaigning
Quote 1 lie
This was actually surprisingly journalistic, refreshing to see a journo that didn't go into an interview with an axe to grind
This conservative will be voting for whichever Conservative or Reform candidate is best placed to beat Labour. If I lived in Clacton, I wouldn't hesitate to vote for Nigel.
Good video.
Vote for the Reform Party for true much needed change and to save this great country.

I'm surprised that the Telegraph could find Clacton on the map. They tend to get a bit lost beyond Liverpool Street.
Let’s face it, Nigel is an old school decent bloke who doesn’t mince his words. Vote Reform.
Nigel needs to get a better security detail.

The Moon and Starfish. That's so romantic. Hope people really vote for Nigel in big big numbers. So glad Nigel wasn't harmed today. That woman should not be let of with a slapped wrist. I hope we see the full weight of the law. Probably not.
I could list all those I would trust here and I am sure there are plenty more. Should we start a list? Farage, Bridgen, Katie Hopkins, Godfrey Bloom, Tice, I have a feeling that so many who will not be standing would be true Brits and would be far far better than the dross we have in either Con or Lab or Lib or Green or SNP
Go on Nige
Vote REFORM 🗳 ☑
Most people don't want either the Tories or Labour, but instead of manning up and voting for the party they really want they continue to vote for which one of these two parties they hate and detest the least.
good reporting piece -
Yes Nige’! The winds of change are upon us!
The woman who threw that milkshake could have thrown something far more sinister at him - this is why she should be prosecuted.
100% EXACTLY So!!!!!!!
She was. Charged with assault. Good riddance.
I will pay for her one way ticket to Gaza 🇬🇧
Even throwing milkshake is going to interfere with the democratic process. Someone canvasing for votes has to stop and get changed if they get soaked, so the process is disrupted. jail for six months should be automatic for anyone blocking any candidate from campaigning like that.
The milk shake advertisement stunt was good for the media show, she will not be prosecuted for doing her job well.
Got my vote 🗳
Give the man a chance ----- And see how it develops
A balanced and well presented report. Well done.
I LOVE HIS HONESTY !

At last a meaningful vote for 'none of the above'.
Everyone who voted for brexit needs to vote for reform or it will be reversed by Labour
The Conservative is finished there is no chance of winning blamed Rishi Sunak he had made the party come to this end
The Tories have repeatedly betrayed their voters over 14 years.
Their voters have finally have had enough of their treachery.

I disagree with Nigel on so much, and I love it when he gets a milkshake to the face... But I will say this, he speaks up for what he believes in, and if that's what the constituents of Clacton want, then fair play to them all! He's bang on about the conservatives and how lost they are, I think most of us, regardless of which side of the fence we sit on, want the UK to be a success and a safe and prosperous place to live!
One of the reasons why the UK economy is so bad is foreign policy. Foreign policy gets a lot of attention and a lot of money is invested in it, but no leader pays attention to their Internal issues.
It is a pity that the government always pays less attention to the position of lower and middle-class families.

I didn't realise he spent his summertime in Clacton. Perfect guy to represent the area.
I cant even imagine a scenario where Sunak,or Starmer, would be sat at a table in a pub with a pint in hand.Or any of their acolytes, like Hunt,or Rayner. That horrible Dowden guy. They think pubs are where we working class types go to fight and eat chips.
Spot on son !❤
Shame he didn't stay with UKIP we wouldn't be in this mess.

Nigel proved in the European parliament that he will see an issue right through to the end. Brexit cost him a very cushy, well paid job, but he was elected on a promise to get Britain out, and he did it.
Labor will take the world to a new crisis, with no experience in managing socio-economic crisis.

Brexit is supported by some who feel uncertain about life's challenges. Farage provided them with a scapegoat in the form of EU migrants. Brexit supporters need to look within themselves and not blame others.
Or perhaps some of us feel that we don't want to be governed by any more kleptocrats than the bunch we already have in the various UK parliaments. Politics in the UK is corrupt enough without adding another layer of parasites.
'eez not wrong is 'e?
Notice there are no policy questions asked.
He's already stated his priorities.
Do your homework !
Too many pathetic gotcha questions sadly, expect better from a professional journalist
I didnt hear any 'gotchas'.
Can anyone remember the last time when a British politician offered something different, something extraordinary, something unthinkable to the prevailing uniparty we've been cursed with for thirty years?
Are we not sick and tired of the same old schlick and schpeel from what barely passes muster as viable parties full of professional politicians who know no loyalty and owe no code to anything but themselves?
Your average modern nobody MP considers first themselves then their party and lastly their country and will support or resist anything/whatever might play against them and in that order and these forlorn and desperate windblown characters would sell their own mothers to Barbary slavers rather than give up their pretty seats.
This is why REFORM UK must not take in any of the Tory rats if they wish to distance themselves from the coming Tory collapse for if they do then it will open up the possibility of being labelled by the Labour party as nothing more than just another Tory party.
In a political landscape filled with stagnation and lack of genuine connection with the people, Nigel Farage stands out as a beacon of hope and a much-needed change. His ability to truly understand and connect with the concerns of everyday citizens sets him apart from the typical politicians we have grown accustomed to. Farage's presence in the political realm is like a breath of fresh air, breathing new life into a system that has long been plagued by complacency and disconnect. With his finger on the pulse of the nation, Farage brings a level of authenticity and relatability that is sorely lacking in today's political climate. His unique approach and unwavering dedication to serving the people make him a rare and valuable asset in the realm of politics.
The CHEGA party went from um deputy to 50 deputies in the Portuguese parliament, so with a strong leader everything is possible.
