I have been running Stihl 066's since they started making them and still do today. When my 390XP crapped out on me while felling the other day, I grabbed an 066 off my skidder, it reminded me I can only afford to run Husky's because I have an 066 for back up:)
Donny, I have a special place in my heart for all the "0" series saws. I have a mint 066 and two builders that I will be working on as part of my retirement enjoyment time!!!!
No way! Thats amazing. In oz the 066 were huge. You will surely enjoy your retirement. Ive one in pieces in a box hopefully to live again b4 retirement. Thx for all your support for the recipients too ay.

I love love love LOVE my little Echo CS501P. It’s just a little rocker as is. BUT, that doesn’t mean that I’m not interested in your porting of that little saw on your channel! 😅 It’s going to be PHENOMENAL!
I have a beautiful 066 red eye and a 066 red eye that was converted to unlimited. Both are total animals in the wood never let me down. Just a great saw all around. Basically bullet proof
I am planning on rebuilding a beaten 088. It is merely a carcass at the moment...😒 Some parts are getting hard to find. 088 Stihls are very rare in Finland.
Donny...Left out quite honestly the best 50cc ever made. I've owned 261 carb and 501p. Neither could come close to my Dolmar 5105s with a non-cat muffler. It has the best throttle response, the vbest anti-vibe system, the easiest choke/start/stop controls in the industry, the best hand grip/throttle trigger of any saw I've ever owned or tried. Put a narrow kerf bar and chain on it and it rips! It is just a crime that Makita destroyed arguably the best German-made chainsaw manufacturer.
My 066 is all tore down, cleaned up and ready to be shipped to you. I’m kinda bummed Johnny told me to wait to ship it till after the new year since you guys will be closed for the holidays, but good things take time!

One more thing to settle something for me once and for all. I have a fellow telling me stihl made a super magnum 066. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I know you can get aftermarket stickers that say that but did they actually make one?
So us Old Timers need to claim religious reasons as to why we still need adjustable carbs?!?!🙏🙏 Have you ever seen one of the Stihl tractors anywhere in your travels???

Nothing like the 066. My favorite saw by far. Shorter bar, longer bar hard or soft wood that thing gets it done with gusto like the 66

The 044 and 066 are Stihl’s best! I always thought the earlier ones ran the strongest, the old metal tag ones. 👍🏻

Yes dolmars are great not a lot of them around here. But they have always made good saws

I don’t own any stihls but i do own 24 chainsaws. Mostly yellow ones.
