    Devlin, this is so helpful. I really enjoy seeing good representative examples of high quality portfolios and then your take on it. For me as a learner, this is the best way to learn! Keep them coming! I really appreciate your content and what you are doing for our community.

    I find these portfolio walk-throughs to be so helpful. I love seeing different approaches and getting a sense for what people choose to showcase. I also value your feedback and comments on what could be improved, even if the portfolio is strong. Thank you!

    This was very helpful to see! The projects showcased are impressive...I hope one day to reach that level of experience. I'm just at the beginning of creating my ID career, and although it can be intimidating, I'm eager to learn as much as I can. Thank you for all the information you share.

      Thanks for checking out the video. You’ll be surprised how quickly you learn and grow in this space. Just wait and see where you’re at 3 months from now...there’s so much to learn! As long as you keep at it every day, you’ll be where you want to be before you know it (and then there’s a whole new set of things that you want to learn).

      Thanks Sandeep! You can find some of this work on my portfolio. I’ll have to look at my hard drive to see if I have some even earlier projects 😃

    Very insightful walkthrough. Thanks for the information. This is definitely a strong candidate and there is a lot to learn from what she is doing. Do you think coding is a necessary skill for an LD/ID? That's something I'm struggling to pick up at the moment.

      Thanks Whit! I agree 😃. And coding definitely isn’t a necessary skill for IDs, but it is a nice-to-have that can help you stand out

    Is instructional designer and learning experience designer the same thing?

    • @DevlinPeckYT
      @DevlinPeckYT  3 года назад

      They sure are. Learning experience designer is a "brand" of ID that some people use to market themselves, but it's the same core skillset. LXD tends to focus more on UX / UI, but IDs can also focus on that. In practice (job postings, what people call themselves, etc.), they're essentially the same.
